### 5/5 — Dan keeps getting better

*2020-11-25, version 4.1.12*

Just happened to stumble on this podcast through pandora but since then listened to so much information I feel smarter he keeps me laughing and hope to hear more stand up as well keep up the great work

### 5/5 — Love from NY space lizards

*2020-11-24, version 4.1.12*

My husband and I love this podcast. One of our favorite things to do is listen to an episode and talk at length about it after (and pause multiple times to discuss during!). As a stay at home mom with two small children, life at home can get pretty lonely and listening to Timesuck makes doing the dishes, folding laundry, mopping and cooking a little easier every day. Thanks Dan for producing such awesome content and for being a down to earth dude. Please l, don’t ever become a jerk too good for your fans. That would be a real bummer. - Cat and Brian Guthrie

### 5/5 — Dear Newcomers

*2020-11-22, version 4.1.12*

I found Timesuck one day while looking for something funny to listen to. Little did I know this was about to become one of, if not my most favorite podcasts. The range of subjects covered, from true crime and cults to conspiracy theories and biographies as well as some historical and scientific subjects as well. The comedy that Dan uses to help tell his stories is fantastic and you’ll find yourself embracing the weird and horrible in brand new way. You won’t regret listening to this, or my name isn’t David Ike.

### 5/5 — Perfect blend of humor and reason

*2020-11-11, version 4.1.12*

If you like dark comedy, if you like learning about the world around you, if you like laughing so hard that you almost crash on your way to work, and if you like a supportive group of misfits, this is the podcast for you. Crave a scare every now and then, Dan’s got that too (Scared to Death). Dan and his team deliver every week (even when sick with COVID). You gotta try this. Wouldn’t change a thing! 3 outta 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Best podcast out there

*2020-10-21, version 4.1.12*

I listen to a lot of crime podcasts and have never heard of Dan Cummins until my fellow coworker was clearly a space lizard and converted me to a avid time sucker. I work nights and I binge this podcast like no other now listen to this 24/7. If you want to be enlightened this guy is amazing hopefully you aren’t thin skinned.

### 5/5 — Hail Lucifina

*2020-10-03, version 4.1.12*

This Podcast is incredible, funny and educational. I have had many conversations about topics on this and have been able to make conversations more interesting because of it. If you are considering listening, I suggest you do.

Make sure you stomp that cocker spaniel to lay praise to satisfy the all knowing ball sack of Nimerod

### 5/5 — Placid Vengeance

*2020-09-23, version 4.1.12*

Love this podcast. Only downside is the odd looks from random people when you bust out laughing for seemingly no reason while listening with wireless earbuds. The characters bring hilarious stories to the informational podcasts. I’ve made it through about 65 of them and just started listening about 3-4 months ago. HAIL NIMROD!

### 5/5 — If only....

*2020-09-02, version 4.1.12*

Dan Cummins would have named “Nimrod,” Grimrod. Or Lucifina, Crucifixina. Or Mr. Bojangles, Brohackles!!!? Then his awesome podcast would have made sense. But as it is now: it’s a jumble of great ideas, excellently realized and totally lacking any reason to listen to. Which I also like. Let’s face it: Dan Cummins is no Richard, MacClean... Smith. And let’s not forget this morning that is just my first review. I can profess my idiocy and adoration of this podcast.... and I recommend it. Over most. 3 out of 5 stars. It’s the best.

### 5/5 — Best app ever!!!

*2020-07-08, version 4.1.10*

I love this app!! So well put together and Dan’s charm and dark humor carries me thru even my most boring days at work. I love learning new things and Dan makes it easy to listen to new information with humorous and enlightening charisma. 3 out of 5 stars all the way!! Everyone in his cult fb group are the best meat sacks I’ve ever had the pleasure of talking/interacting with. Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Nothing wrong.

*2020-07-07, version 4.1.10*

Even if I wasn’t a long time Dan Cummins fan, I would’ve still ended up listening to this podcast and loving it. If I’m not listening to Timesuck, I’ve got scared to death on. My girlfriend and I ALWAYS turn on scared to death if we have a long drive and I even play the episodes over the loud speakers at my work. Many customers stay til the story is over and I’ve gotten a ton of people hooked on it. Couldn’t recommend it enough, there’s a story for everyone.

### 5/5 — Well researched podcast with one problem.

*2020-05-20, version 4.0.18*

I have listened to almost all (almost) 200 episodes. All super interesting, well researched, and the facts are presented in an unbiased manner.
My problem lies in one of his characters: Chicken Joe. CJ is a chicken who is a pimp.
I get the strong feeling Mr. Cummins has neither heard, nor seen, a chicken. In his life. This character sounds nothing like a chicken.
I thought about removing a star for this. I thought better of it as not everyone has grown up with chickens. Therefore. Five out of five stars.

### 5/5 — Great podcast!!

*2020-03-09, version 4.0.17*

New listener to the podcast( didn’t know you had on.) But I’ve listened to the standup for some time now, for anyone who is looking to learn about some random things in a comedic way then this is an amazing way to do it. Hands down the best podcast I’ve listened to. Keep up the awesome work and hope to hear many more in the future.

### 5/5 — I love Monday’s

*2019-11-06, version 4.0.14*

Thank you for the great comedy. I appreciate that you give the facts and all the facts. Good bad or indifferent. I want to be informed so I can make up my own mind and you give us the information to do this.
I agree with you most of the time but I even find myself looking at something, from a different angle, even if I don’t agree with it.
You are teaching tolerance and that is a true gift. I would compare you to the Walter Concrite of our time, only with cursing. I would think he is turning in his grave with the news reporting today. I trust you and I thank you for hard work you put into it.

### 5/5 — Combination of comedy and learning

*2019-10-10, version 4.0.12*

I’m not one to go to comedy clubs or watch comedy shows on TV so I was a bit skeptical when a friend told me about this, so glad I gave it a try. I’m more of a knowledge seeker and these podcasts are great. Dan is well researched, honest, funny and a good human being. I love the podcasts on historical places and people and find the ones about serial killers interesting. He blends them well and the app allows you to pick the ones you want to listen to. If you’re a curious person you will love it. Most are about 2 hours which is just right.
Keep on sucking!

### 5/5 — Only the best for your ear holes!

*2019-09-25, version 3.2.3*

My ear holes are super pleased every time I turn on this podcast! I laugh, I cry tears of joy, and the sound of dans voice is just angelic! He’s a little mushmouthed sometimes, but that’s what makes it so personable! He’s not a perfect person, but he’s giving everyone the opportunity to learn on their own time, enjoy a sense of community if you’re feeling alone, and also allowing everyone to be part of something bigger than themselves. Dan donates to charities every month using the measly 5 bucks we pay to be the best of the best(it’s a secret, pay and enjoy more). Love everything about this, as well as the air banjo and shrill voice of a puppet? Dive in to see/hear what we all love so much!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2019-08-13, version 3.2.3*

If it weren’t for timesuck, I’d lose my brain right out my open mind. But “what is big deal? Open mind not necessary for ...”
Great content, makes me laugh, let’s me look forward to learning something new at work.
I’ve told at least 3 or 4 people about it, 2 of whom are now listeners!
Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Brace your earholes, folks.

*2019-08-11, version 3.2.3*

Dan Cummins and co pump out one new episode a week, diving into some of the craziest theories, places, conspiracies and figures to have ever graced this big rock of ours. From Pancho Villa to the Zodiac Killer, Project MK Ultra to the Vietnam War— there isn’t anything longtime comedian Dan won’t decimate with his signature brand of black comedy and mush-mouth while also giving us a clean account of events. The thorough fact-checking and constant updates on past topics make this podcast just a cut above the rest, and since the cult of the curious keeps expanding I can only say Cummins is must be here to stay!

### 5/5 — Best podcast ever for learning

*2019-06-27, version 3.2.3*

I have been listening to this podcast for quite some time now. I can honestly say I love it. You get to learn things you may not know or learn more about things you already know all while being entertained. I highly recommend this podcast.

### 5/5 — Hear This Future Meat Sacks!

*2019-06-19, version 3.2.3*

Timesuck is an outstanding weekly reminder that we all need to search for truth and educate ourselves.

Dan Cummins combines his unique brand of comedy with research to deliver fascinating, and often dark and twisted, information on topics of interest to him and his loyal Space Lizards.

Most importantly, he has nurtured a caring community of fans that has grown over the past four years and they support each other in such special ways. When you hear Mr. Cummins share updates from listeners you can’t help but feel connected yourself.

All are welcome in the Cult of the Curious, so download now and start learning Meat Sack!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Love the content, but app has issues

*2023-12-06*

I love all things Dan Cummins. However, this app has been giving me issues off & on for a while now & it only seems to be getting worse. I thought it might have been my phone or other devices, but other podcast apps/players have not been giving me issues. My progress only saves occasionally & it frequently skips around episodes. Even when I tried to contact the company through the app, it would freeze up before I could send a message. I hope this things can be fixed, because I love the Bad Magic products. Thank you guys & hope this can be resolved sooner rather than later.

### 4/5 — Lucifina snuck one UX issue onto this app!

*2017-12-19, version 1.1.0*

When I hit the back button (<<) from the lock screen or control center on iOS, the podcast starts over from the beginning!

I wish it would just go back 15 seconds. It's so easy to accidentally hit the back button when you're picking up your phone or unlocking your phone.

Will change to 5 stars when this is changed.

### 5/5 — 5 stars!!!

*2022-08-07, version 5.3.0*

3 outa 5 stars, wouldn’t change a thing! (Inside joke). Best podcast ever! Dan Cummins is amazing in his delivery and content. I look forward to his weekly late day Monday posts religiously;) The first 100 were great but he really improved the format by extending the time to 2-3hours there after and I’m hooked.

### 5/5 — Hilarious

*2022-01-23, version 5.3.0*

I’ve heard of Dan Cummins before, but never really paid any attention to his standup. A few months ago I was lucky enough to stumble upon TimeSuck while listening to SiriusXM. Dan’s presentation style immediately hooked me and made me want to become a Patreon of his podcast. Darkly funny, insanely interesting topics, and the fact that the group at BadMagic “pay it forward” to donate to organizations in need is what keeps me coming back daily. I would definitely recommend anyone new to it to check this podcast out. Even if you don’t like TimeSuck, he’s got others that would suit your fancy I bet. Thanks Dan and company. Best wishes in the future!

### 5/5 — Dan makes me love my Fiancé even more

*2021-11-15, version 5.3.0*

Haha, seriously though. My fiancé has been a long time fan of Dan’s comedy and TimeSuck podcast before we started dating. A bit into our relationship, Scared to Death comes out. He tells me the premise of it since I didn’t know Dan, but it sounds fun and spooky.

Hooked.

I was absolutely hooked.

I grew to love Dan and Lynz, branching out individually to try his TimeSuck . Turns out I love that too.

I like that this dynamic duo are humble enough to know when they get points of topic wrong, yet dig through research to help all of us lazy folk out there not have too.

Running a podcast takes a lot of organizing, time, devotion, drive, etc. I’m sure there are days that Dan is stressed beyond belief about the podcast, running around trying to get every T crossed. It’s exhausting. Yet he comes to us with light in his voice and humor in his speech.

I honestly would buy audible books by Dan. He’s got a voice that doesn’t bore you and keeps you excited to listen.

Thank you guys for all that you do. Thank you to all the people behind the scenes helping to take some of the weight off their shoulders and for getting this awesome content out to us.

### 5/5 — Really Unique Podcast

*2021-10-26, version 5.3.0*

Topics are a diverse, historical content with a touch of humor added in. You do need a sense of humor for this because the host uses humor as a defense mechanism, which might be too much for those with delicate sensitivities. The host always does the research and provides the sources for you. That’s something I really appreciate. Definitely should try it out. Might try a few episodes since it’s a bit different. Love this podcast and the others the host is involved in. Wouldn’t change a thing. 3 out of 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Knowledge with comedy!

*2021-10-19, version 5.3.0*

If you like comedy and knowledge this is for you. I recommend starting from the beginning so you get all the inside jokes. I have been a fan of Dan Cummins comedy for years but this podcast is amazing and keeps you interested from start to finish. Keep on sucking.

### 5/5 — A Great Way To Pass Some Time

*2021-09-26, version 5.2.0*

I was introduced to this podcast by one of my family members a year or so ago and loved it then. However, since I don’t listen to podcasts on my own much I only recently went back looking for it again. I love Dan Cummins’ comedy, he has become one of my favorite comedians of all time. And I love that he has brought that same sense of humor into this podcast. The mesh of jokes and the intrigue of new and interesting topics to learn about, has led to this becoming a great way for me to pass some time. I’ve really enjoyed listening and learning in the nice and carefree manner that the information is presented. So thank you Dan Cummins and the production team for making this podcast and for keeping it up for so long. I would recommend this podcast to anyone who enjoys learning about random topics and also enjoys a good helping of comedy to keep things light and entertaining.

### 5/5 — OH MY HECK!

*2021-06-02, version 5.1.2*

I enjoy learning new things, but reading puts me right to sleep when it’s not entertaining. Listening to these stories, true crime, serial killers, cults, historical events, etc with a comedic spin makes learning so much more easy! I love how thorough the research is. Even historical events I thought I was pretty educated on, I still learn something new! I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into each and every episode. I’ve even become a Patreon supporter to learn yet even more. Such a great community of meatsacks has come out of just one podcast. I cannot express enough how awesome this podcast is. The main focus is to educate and have fun while doing it.
Well done Bad Magic team, well done.

### 5/5 — This is amazing!

*2021-05-11, version 5.0.13*

While I don’t always agree with how Dan sees things I do 100% love that he and his team do plenty of research to try and give the full story behind every episode. At the end of each episode he reads emails sent to him by viewers/listeners (even if they are negative) just to give full perspective of every topic. I catch myself almost daily saying things or referring to things that I have heard in the podcast and am FOREVER telling family, friends and sometimes strangers that they need to tune into this podcast! If you do not like cussing and you do not like laughing hysterically this is not the podcast for you!

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — If you don’t listen to TimeSuck, then F %k You!

*2021-03-17, version 5.0.13*

This podcast cast is more than a pod cast! This pod cast is the first THING I have ever rated in my life!! I found this pod cast about 10 months after it started. I’ve been listening to it since!
There is so much more to this podcast then the fascinating and factual stories that this podcast delves into every week. It’s more then the goofy jokes and miss leads that Mr. SuckMaster Cummins weaves into every weeks tail.
This show is a community of people that love to learn and seek knowledge of every aspect of life. The Curious People! The people that Love to learn, Love to laugh! Love to love other people for who they are and be ok with with the fact that We Are All Different!
If this show is anything other then plain old fantastic. It is a simple mans/ woman’s guide to using your brain better....as in gettin so learnin done on ya skull squishy! You don’t have to be a smarty pants to be curious. And there no better way to tame that curiosity then to listen to TimeSuck!
Don’t be a Darin! (Diff podcast but still)
What do you have to lose??
What is big deal?
Listen to TimeSuck and Learn!
That’s how they do it in Hollywood!
The only other place you’ll find more answers in the Denver Airport! 🤣😝

Hale Nimrod!

P.S. what that mean?
Only one way to find out........

### 5/5 — Wish I could give more than five stars

*2021-02-09, version 4.1.12*

Hail Nimrod! I love this podcast (and the app is nice, too)! I first listened to Dan’s standup comedy a few years ago (I’ve been to two shows) and eventually stumbled across the Timesuck podcast. I’ve never been a big podcast person and this is still the only one that I regularly listen to. I absolutely love the humor and love learning about a variety of interesting topics. I find myself smiling like an idiot while listening and I am extremely grateful to Dan and his team for making my work day/drive home so much more entertaining than it would be otherwise. Thanks guys! Keep on suckin!
