## What is Timetracker?

Most time trackers are built for freelancers and billing. Timetracker is built for your whole life.

Track everything you do — work, sleep, exercise, cooking, family time, reading — and see how your time is actually distributed across the areas of your life that matter to you.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Define your life areas — Work, Health, Family, Learning, Leisure, or whatever matters to you
2. Create activities and map them to life areas — "Morning run" → Health, "Reading" → Learning + Rest
3. Tap to start tracking. Tap to switch. That's it.
4. Open your dashboard — life-area balance is calculated automatically

You do the living. The app does the math.

KEY FEATURES

• Full 24-hour tracking — not just work hours. Sleep, exercise, commute, cooking, everything counts
• Life-area balance — automatic percentage breakdown across your life domains
• Hierarchical activities — nest "Work → Meetings → Standups" instead of a flat list
• Flexible goals — set minimum, maximum, or exact time targets per day, workday, weekend, or custom schedule
• Easy corrections — forgot to switch? Drag the boundary between entries to fix it in seconds
• Daily, weekly & monthly statistics — trends reveal what single days hide
• Built-in pomodoro — run focus sessions without leaving the app; every session is logged as a real time entry
• Real-time sync — switch between iPhone, iPad, and web seamlessly
• Dark mode — full support throughout the app

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Unlike Toggl or Clockify, this isn't a work timer — it's a life picture.
Unlike RescueTime, it tracks offline activities too — sport, cooking, family time.
Unlike habit trackers, it measures duration — not just "did I do it?"

No judgment. No productivity scores. No streaks.
Just an honest picture of how you spend your time.

FREE TO USE

No ads. No credit card. No limits on core tracking. Every time-tracking feature you need is available for free.

WORKS EVERYWHERE

Your account syncs across all platforms and devices.

### 2/5 — Overall good app but

*2026-08-21*

I would have given this five stars. I can’t because it is extremely hard to edit a time entry. The developer needs to make it easier to edit an entry

### 2.4.0 — 2026-08-27

- Changing or resetting your password now ends your other sessions at once, instead of within the next two hours
- Starting an activity that is already running no longer splits the session in two
- A session started again where one just ended is now one session rather than two
- Changes made offline no longer stop syncing because a single one of them could not be read: the rest are saved and the one that failed is reported
- History no longer draws the second half of a split entry twice, nor keeps the entry the split absorbed
- History no longer keeps an entry that a resumed session absorbed
- A pomodoro focus phase always returns tracking to the focus activity, Skip included
- Real-time sync opens one connection per window instead of one per screen
- Settings toggles can be reached from the keyboard and announce their state, and the theme follows the system when you ask it to
- cancelling Apple sign-in returns you to the sign-in screen instead of appearing to hang
- the pomodoro's close button no longer sits under the status bar, and its start button no longer crowds the home indicator
- The support chat button no longer disappears for the rest of the session after you sign out and sign back in
- The fullscreen tracking view no longer leaves both of its pages half on screen when the window changes size around it — opening History fullscreen on the desktop, or turning a phone while it is open
- Bug fixes and stability improvements

### 2.3.2 — 2026-08-18

- Tracking on two devices, one of them offline, no longer leaves entries lying on top of each other
- History no longer shows the running session on days in the future
- History no longer draws a running entry as ending before it started, or reads a negative length, when your device's clock is behind the server's
- History no longer keeps showing an entry that was merged into its neighbour
- The month view starts its weeks on the day you chose, like the week view, instead of always Monday
- A tile's timer starts from zero and counts a second a second, even when your device's clock disagrees with the server's
- Weekly and monthly goal totals now add up from the days they are made of, so a goal set on the 31st is counted the same way everywhere
- A goal schedule with a day ticked but no time set now tells you which day, instead of being refused without explanation
- Add Time Entry: clearing a time says what is missing instead of failing with an error
- Add Time Entry no longer refuses its own suggested time on a device whose clock runs slightly fast
- Very short stretches of time are treated the same way everywhere in the app
- Bug fixes and stability improvements

### 2.3.1 — 2026-08-15

- Collapsed groups of activities now stay collapsed while you drag, so a card lands where you dropped it instead of somewhere in a list that reshuffled itself
- Dropping an activity into a collapsed group files it at the end of that group and opens it, so you can see where it went
- Which groups you have collapsed is remembered between visits, and adding an activity to a collapsed group opens it
- Deleting an activity now removes everything nested under it, after telling you how many activities and how much tracked time would go
- Activity and life-area numbers are never handed out again after a deletion
- Dragging an activity or a life area to the top of the list keeps working however many times you do it
- Activities you removed while keeping their history no longer turn up among your daily, weekly and monthly goals
- Signing in opens tracking straight away instead of passing through the landing page first
- The timezone list in your profile no longer opens off the edge of the screen
- An account with no activities is invited to add one instead of waiting on a list that never loads
- Bug fixes and stability improvements

### 2.2.1 — 2026-08-11

- Activities now show in their own colors in Statistics charts, instead of all sharing one
- "Recent" in the activity picker again lists what you actually tracked recently
- History no longer leaves gaps in the day timeline
- Editing an activity no longer creates a duplicate of it
- Bug fixes and stability improvements
