### 1/5 — Unusable App

*2024-07-20, version 2.0.0*

Can’t order… can’t redeem rewards…. waste of time

### 1/5 — Updated App Borderline Unusable

*2024-07-19, version 2.0.0*

I like the food at Tin Drum, and I used to order multiple tines a week—the new app update is one of the worst updates I’ve ever seen. It’s slow, clunky, and forces me to open an out-of-app web browser that loads at the pace of a dying snail to even look at the menu or order.

The rewards you “redeem” never actually show up on the checkout page in the browser, meaning you’ll begin to place an order, spend 10 minutes navigating the new digital labyrinth, and then realize the points won’t apply (for no discernible reason). I’ve contacted support for issues before and gotten no reply.

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve opened the app to try to order only to give up and just order from the place next door. This genuinely might be the last straw for me.

### 1/5 — I hate it.

*2024-07-14, version 2.0.0*

I HATE THIS NEW UPDATED APP!! PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK.

### 1/5 — Update

*2024-07-12, version 2.0.0*

This new update make the app so much worse! Can’t even redeem points using receipts anymore I put in a big order an forgot to scan my app, so I figure I could just manually enter the code do get my points but that’s not an option anymore. Way to scam your loyal costumers out of their rewards. I’m definitely cutting back on eating here.

### 1/5 — Bad app update

*2024-07-08, version 2.0.0*

New app update is slow and experience is not friendly . Also ordering open up on new browser which ask to open app again , while app is already open !

### 1/5 — App is Unusable now

*2024-07-07, version 2.0.0*

The last app worked great. It was perfect. You could save your orders, use your rewards, and it was relatively simple to use. The new update (which changed everything) is not useable. You can’t use your rewards unless you go in store (what’s the purpose then?) and you can’t order on the app. It takes you to the website to order.

### 1/5 — App makeover is terrible!

*2024-07-05, version 2.0.0*

The older version of wasn’t perfect but it was serviceable and user-fruendly. This new makeover/latesr version is considerably worse though. It’s clunky and ordering just leads you to an in-app browser, which prompts you to open the app. However, you’re already in the app.

Rather just go to the restaurant and order or just order from a different restaurant. It’s the latter more often than not.

### 1/5 — New Update Is Insufferable

*2024-06-28, version 2.0.0*

The new update is a complete downgrade in almost every sense. UI is now complicated and honestly unusable.

### 1/5 — New app does not work

*2024-06-27, version 2.0.0*

The app before the latest update was clunky yes but serviceable. Now it’s a fight to pick just your location. Reward points doesn’t work, or they removed all of mine and the app just says I have points still. Honestly you’re better off ordering in store or through the web instead of the app since that’s what the app does at the end of the day.

### 1/5 — New update destroyed the app

*2024-06-25, version 2.0.0*

Your new update made this app literally unusable. It slows down to the point it looks like it’s going to crash. The “order” section now opens up a web browser which directs you to the company website and then prompts you to open the app to order. Spoiler: the app is ALREADY open. Why change things when they were working fine before? You guys are going to lose money from me. I used to order multiple times a week from here. No longer going to do so since I can order ahead anymore.

### 1/5 — Why did you update this to trash?

*2024-06-23, version 2.0.0*

This used to work amazing! It wouldn’t let me use my rewards until I updated the app unless I went into the store to redeem. I updated the app now it’s trying to have me open Safari to continue (which hello, what’s the point of an app when it takes you to a browser 🙄) and when I open Safari, it says you have the app downloaded open the app (!) and now that I have the new update, the rewards have disappeared and my free entree is expiring soon. This is a fail.

### 1/5 — Can’t find my membership even though I added my phone number on the old app

*2024-06-20, version 2.0.0*

I received an email to add my phone number to the Tin Drum app, and I DID but now I’m trying to log into my new account and it said it couldn’t find my account. When I try to make a new one it says my account already exists. So I can’t make a new account and I also can’t access my old one. I reached out twice and they never got back to me. Great since I’m losing my 1000 degree reward tomorrow.

### 1/5 — Credit Card Required

*2018-12-27, version 1.0.1*

I downloaded the app and went to place my first order when I realized it requires you to store your credit card number. It should not be required that you leave your credit card number on file with them.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Constantly Freezes

*2026-03-25, version 2.0.0*

This app sucks. It constantly freezes and doesn’t allow me to order anything. I can’t even use my pending points anymore cause it doesn’t let me click to use them. It’s been this way since the new update and it’s clear the company doesn’t care to try and fix it.

### 1/5 — Comically

*2026-01-10, version 2.0.0*

Downloaded the app. Deleted after 8 seconds…don’t make the same mistake. Fire the developers bro, just awful.

### 1/5 — Updated App is Horrendous

*2026-01-03, version 2.0.0*

Why on earth they decided to re-develop this app is beyond me. It was perfectly functional, borderline sleek. This version is worse in literally single measurable category. It’s essentially just a shell for the mobile Safari website, and the only function the app serves is to make the Safari version slower and clunkier. There is literally not a single area in which this current app is better than the previous version. It’s borderline unusable. Just use the mobile browser.

The only explanation I can come up with as to why this app exists is that some C-suite person’s nephew desperately wanted to develop a new version of the app, the guy has zero education in app design, and like violently rejects criticism.

### 1/5 — Slows phone down

*2025-09-17, version 2.0.0*

Will slow your phone down like crazy in the app, unusable

### 1/5 — Foodie

*2025-03-05, version 2.0.0*

This is not an upgrade It’s more like downgrade

### 1/5 — App for 1900s

*2025-01-24, version 2.0.0*

Fire your software dev team. Even a five-year-old can design apps these days. So bad I can’t even write this review any further.

### 1/5 — Hate the update

*2025-01-01, version 2.0.0*

I still don’t understand why a company would take a perfectly good app and ruin it😭

### 1/5 — New App Is GARBAGE

*2024-10-28, version 2.0.0*

The food is great, the app used to be great.

The update is quite possibly the worst downgrade in customer experience I’ve ever seen.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2024-09-24, version 2.0.0*

The new app is trash, might as well order in the browser since it opens up an embedded browser window anyway.

### 1/5 — Why change?

*2024-09-12, version 2.0.0*

It used to be fantastic. Used it all the time. Everything is different now and it’s much less user friendly.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-11-14, version 2.0.0*

It is easy to use and manage! Quick order and rewards!

### 5/5 — Food

*2021-02-11, version 1.1*

It is pretty good kind of confusing but you gets lots of free stuff and I’m a broke high school student so why not

### 5/5 — App works exactly like it should

*2018-11-27, version 1.0.1*

The app works exactly like I would expect. You can easily earn Heat and if you miss scanning at the register, it only takes a second to scan the barcode on your receipt

### 4/5 — Good with flaws

*2019-01-06, version 1.0.1*

Good app and good responsive support. But there are times that an order’s barcode will not be recognized by the app. Apparently it is an issue outside control of the app and Tin Drum. Would be nice if it could be fixed soon so we have a reliable, consistent user experience.

### 2/5 — Update

*2025-09-30, version 2.0.0*

The app is very sluggish and needs an update expeditiously

### 2/5 — App Needs Serious Work

*2020-09-05, version 1.1*

There are too many examples of great food-ordering apps for this one to be so flawed.

Note to developer: Download the Chik-Fil-A app as a decent guide to how to improve yours. It’s pretty annoying to get so worn out by your app that I either made a different dining decision or simply go inside and order!
