## What is Tinlings?

Walking is now mission-critical.

In the attic of an abandoned house, small retired household robots power up again. There is no sign of the humans, and nobody knows why. So the robots build a new life out of cardboard, fabric, screws and the occasional sock.

There is only one rule: time only moves when you do.

HOW IT WORKS

• Go for a walk. Every real step is one minute for your robots. Banked time never expires.
• Fast-forward. Open the app and watch in a timelapse what your robots built, found or broke.
• Decide. When something important happens, time stops. A blinking box. A marten in the rafters. A robot that wants to register properly.

WHAT THERE IS TO DO

• Build: You place the blueprint and turn it any way you like. The robots do the rest. Mostly. You can rearrange any time.
• Robots: Each has a trait, needs and skills that grow with work. A miserable one goes on strike. A flat one switches off and a colleague tows it to a charger.
• Power: The solar panel only works while the sun falls through the skylight. Nights take planning.
• Workbench: Set what to keep in stock, and the robots craft it.
• The plan: The robots have one. It is very large. They are not.
• Expeditions: Send a team out. They are missed at home, but they bring back finds and a report.
• Finds: Some rescue robots. Others end up in the display case.

NO PRESSURE

A lazy day is simply time off for your robots. Nobody blames you, and your robots wait. On a long day, every step is worth more. Time can't be bought.

Tinlings reads only your step count from Apple Health, including days the app stayed closed. It never writes to Health.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-11-03

Log 1.2.0, signed off by the robots:
– Short on material? The blueprint now waits and says what is missing. The robots call it anticipation.
– Buildings can now be turned and moved. A move costs no material, only time. The sofa has agreed.
– New attics start without a rest box. You build the first one. Until then, everyone sleeps on the floor, under protest.
– “All” shows every robot at a glance, those who need help on top. Nobody pushes. Almost nobody.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-11-02
