Now they completely understand how torturous it it. They lasted less than 5 minutes with my exact tinnitus sound before having to remove the earphones! I have high pitched tinnitus manifesting “somewhere” on my left side and the full-range noise options (aka waterfall) that drop out in the frequency where my ringing is make it almost not noticeable. I love this when going to sleep, or during other times when it’s quiet or I have few distractions. The testing feature is amazing as well to figure out where I sense the ringing. And it works simultaneously with other sound apps to add more layers if you desire. ALL FREE! The neuromodulation immediately settled my tinnitus down, it’s really weird. It did come back after I stop listening for lunch but didn’t seem as intrusive. Hopefully the more I listen, the longer it stays away. Fingers crossed anyway. I checked it against my frontiers device. ### 1/5 — Ugh *2019-12-22, version 1.0.1* There is nothing intuitive about this. There are no instructions. If you go to the hearing/tinnitus check page, you get stuck there because once you start goofing around trying to figure out what the heck you're doing, the back button gets greyed out and won't take you back anywhere. You have to uninstall and reinstall it just to get back to the main menu. When I tried it again, it did the same thing. In the process I ramped up my tinnitus by taking their stupid test (probably incorrectly since there are no instructions). There's nothing good about this. I'm good with computers and I used to test applications. And the slide bar to set the frequency is small and too close to the numbers so it is difficult to see the frequency as you slide the bar. I have suffered from very loud tinnitus for over 50 years and only obtrusive noise apps offered any help.I bought an air of Apple Earbuds Pro 2 to seek relief but again only obtrusive noise helped. I downloaded this program along with several others but only discovered the Neuromodulation part yesterday. It is incredible. The default setting was 8000 hz which didn’t help. I tried 14000 and it didn’t help. Then I set it at 10000, chose Cycle 1, and my tinnitus disappeared. There is no noticeable noise at all, nothing to disrupt the hearing aid function of the earbuds. I don’t know that it will last but I will enjoy every moment that my tinnitus is gone. I will probably buy a second pair of Buds so that I can run it all day. Thank you for this amazing app and for distributing it for free. ### 5/5 — i thought this was impossible… *2025-01-10, version 1.0.2* this is like the only white noise app i’ve found which doesn’t charge for a subscription, i recommend this for people with and without tinnitus ### 5/5 — The best free tinnitus app *2024-04-27, version 1.0.2* I can’t believe that they do not charge for this app, it is hands down the best free tinnitus therapy app out there. No adds no time limits just a great well though out app that actually works. Although there is no cure for tinnitus you can retrain your brain to ignore it and I know it’s sounds like some sort of magic, it really does work! Be patient and try to follow the instructions and match your tinnitus sound then give your brain time to adjust while you listen to the sounds I like to do it when I read. I also use the timer function and listen to some sound when I go to bed I set the timer for 1 hour and like magic I fall asleep. I’m not a doctor just a tinnitus sufferer like you reading reviews and ran across this app. Think of this retraining like living in a house with a wind up clock or near train tracks, at some point you no longer notice the clock or the trains going by. I think this works the same way. Remember don’t mask out your tinnitus keep the volume a little lower than your tinnitus sound and give the therapy time. For me one day it was magic and my tinnitus was not ruining my life and my brain just started to ignore it, tinnitus is still there but I don’t notice it nearly as much and using the app at bedtime is a game changer.
