### 5/5 — Great game! You should totally get it!

*2019-04-08, version 1.3.3*

I don’t usually write reviews and I am writing one now so that is saying something. This app I really fun and all the tiny birds are really adorable and realistic, other then the fact that they talk of course! I really love what you can buy them and I love the nursery! It is very fun and entertaining to raise your own tiny birds! One thing I really like about the nursery is, that when you feed them you choose a color food you feed them. The color you pick is the color the baby bird starts to turn, so let’s say you feed him a red piece of food then he will start to turn red. Yes, you can change the color halfway through, so if you just feed it a yellow piece then right after that you feed it a green piece the bird has this mixed color. It is really cute! So you should totally get this game I have no regrets it was the best! It has turned into one of my favorite games.

### 5/5 — Really Cute Concept For A Bird Lover Like Me :)

*2019-03-10, version 1.3.3*

So I love birds, as you can see in the title, also I have 5 parakeets. When I found this game I fell in love with it, and also the prices for feathers are really cheap compared to most apps,
and along with that, they also thank you for purchasing by taking time out of working on the game to make that, and removing ads. The game is very charming and one of the best if not the best idle game I’ve played. The concept is pretty cute and haven’t ran into any bugs. The only thing I could suggest is making feathers a little easier to obtain, and bringing more features from the TBGD on computer. Other than that, I would rate this game a 10/10. 🐧🐦🐤🐔🦆🦉🦅🦜🕊🦚

### 5/5 — I’m hooked on this game! (Updated)

*2019-03-04, version 1.3.2*

I still like this game and so far I’m enjoying the new updates, but there’s definitely a bug in the treat tracker for birds...I can’t see all the treats (can only see the 1st 4 treats, while the background scrolls the treats shown stays the same) and I’m pretty sure it’s not actually tracking treats either. Other than this loving the update! I like that birds come in the game too now, so you don’t have to close and open to get more.
*******
I love this game! A simple concept, but immensely fun. I. Also find the creator’s story to be super compelling do that also pushed me to make an in app purchase (the $10 pack, really worth it!).

### 5/5 — Full and thankful heart

*2019-03-02, version 1.3.2*

Was having a rough day, so I opened up Tiny Bird Garden to help make it better. Oooooohh, an update!!! Adorable animated drawings at startup... Ability to watch the birds come and go... Treat tracker... Hatching babies... And of course new birds - including Alex the Honking Bird!! There are a few bugs to be fixed in this version, and the app crashes occasionally, but I am confident they are already working on it. I plan to install the latest iPhone update which may help with that, too. These sweet, funny avian (and human) characters make me smile and take a little time to relax :) I am 39 y/o mom and in the midst of the busyness of life I still appreciate those positive reminders... “Did I get enough water today? Wow, yeah I need to take a break and de-stress...” The thoughtfulness put into this game keeps me playing! While you don’t need any money to play it, I have gladly spent a couple bucks here and there to support the developers. Well worth it! Thanks for all you do, and keep up the good work! God bless and keep you, and all who play too ❤️

### 5/5 — The sweetest, best thought out app

*2019-02-21, version 1.2.1*

Disclaimer: this is not for those who want an actual game with game features like mini games, puzzles, what have you. Game play is generally 10 minutes or less per time you open it.

I would say that this game is akin to a greatly improved neko atsume. If they would ever consider making a cat or dragon oriented app I would be floored.

The art is soooo aesthetically pleasing, and as I recently discovered the music is lovely. There are variety of pronouns (he/she/they) rather than the standard two which is such a pleasant touch. The descriptions on every item/non-bird is fun, and the descriptions of the bird are very informative to their personality as well as potentially heart-tugging. Oh also the birds can say some really nice things to you.

A beautiful blend of aesthetics, sweetness, and humor. It brings me a lot of comfort.

If I had to critique, I’d say it frustrates me when the tutorial girl always pops up during a miss-click on something. I feel like it might be possible to turn that off, so it might not be a necessary critique. The other “critique” is that I really would love to be able to watch the birds come and go somehow.

I really hope you keep updating the game and adding more! It’s amazing. There is more good stuff about it but this is already so long. Much love!
-Max

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words! You'll be happy to learn as of 1.3.2 the birds visit and leave the garden in real time. :]

### 5/5 — My mental health game

*2019-01-27, version 1.2.1*

I found this game through Game Grumps, and decided to check it out for myself. And to my surprise, this game is outstanding! Not only are the characters supportive, and advising you to look after yourself, and your mental health, but the birds are as well! This game is always trying to remind you that self care is very important, and that your a special, and unique person!
The birds are adorable, and all are different and interesting. They’re all unique, and each has a different background, personality, and interest in clothing and treats!
The only thing that disappoints me about this version of the game, is that you can’t play the mini games to earn feathers like on the pc version. It may be because you have to pay for it, but I would still like to see some sort of game on the mobile version in this game.
All together, this game is perfect. And it’s my go-to game to relax, and care for myself! Definitely recommend this game, five stars!

### 5/5 — My favorite app

*2019-01-17, version 1.2.1*

I love this app enough to review it, so that’s saying something. It’s a little slow to start and build your garden, but soon you’ll have bird friends visiting you regularly! This game is meant to be played for only a couple minutes at a time, to check back in later (like tamogatchi but without any starving pets! The birds just hang out elsewhere until you come back). Highly recommend for people with depression or anxiety. All the birds say nice things to you, and it gives you motivation to keep going and keep coming back!

### 5/5 — PRECIOUS!

*2019-01-06, version 1.2.1*

This app is so unique and cute! When I first glanced over it, I thought you would need money to get the fancier birds to come to your garden, but that’s not the case! I’ve already met over half the birds, and I’ve had this for 3 days! I love how you can choose which birds to become friends with. What I find interesting is some birds use the pronouns they/them, which is awesome! This game is really amazing. Everything is perfect. However, I had a problem with scrolling through my garden. I assume there’s more than what appears on screen, based on the picture of the garden in the store. I’m not sure how to scroll yet, but so far it hasn’t been that big of a problem. Other than that, the ads stay out of your way and most the ads you watch to get rewards are skippable after 5 seconds. I’m in love with this game. Amazing!

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2018-12-26, version 1.2.1*

I’m a 20 year old woman but this is my favorite app of all time and I’ve only had it a few hours. Download this app now you will be so happy you did!

***UPDATE***

Have had this game for a few weeks now and I’m still recommending it to everyone I know! Works well without needing to spend real money, but like the other reviews say, if you do end up spending real money, it is worth it! You get your money’s worth if you spend it! This game is very peaceful and calming and soothing and it will melt you stress away and put a smile on your face. I definitely recommend this app!!!

### 5/5 — A nice casual bird game

*2018-12-26, version 1.2.1*

I downloaded this because it was mentioned on Alex The Honking Birds page & was expecting another nightmarish money game & instead was treated to a very casual(& often times cute game)with birds. You can easily purchase most all you need without spending too much as you can easily play it and earn shiny feathers(cash currency) at a decent pace to not stress yourself out so in my opinion it strikes a nice and unobtrusive balance. You can purchase shiny feathers, but I’ve found that they are priced so low that if you do decide to buy them they aren’t gonna break your bank or force you to need them(I bought some just to throw a bit of money the developers way because as I said they’ve got a great balance already). Each of the 88 birds in the game are friendly and have their own personalities which make coming back seem fun as they always have some uplifting dialogue for this feel good game. I’m not sure if Alex is in this because I haven’t seen him yet, but I hope he is. It goes without saying that this game should be a must try game that will have you coming back more just to see the birds sitting about in your own garden.

### 5/5 — A calm, cute, and stress relieving game! 🌹❤️

*2018-11-22, version 1.2.1*

This is just what I would need after a long day. Tiny Bird Garden is very peaceful and the birds just always make you say “awww”. This is what every bird lover would need. I ordered their Skelly enamel pin and it was ADORABLE!!!! I can’t wait for upcoming updates! One of the fun parts about this game is that you get to find out what the birds favorite hats, toys, and treats are. And another fun part is looking at how every bird is unique, each with their own personality and design. Plus, I love how two of the birds are based off of the developer’s two cats! That is just soooo adorable. Again, I can’t wait for new toys, new treats, new hats, new updates, but mostly, NEW BIRDS! 🐦

### 5/5 — 100% charmed (long review)

*2018-09-25, version 1.2.1*

There's nothing not to love about this game! I've been playing for several months now, and it's still one of my favorites. The new update added newer and more challenging achievements, which promise many more months of entertainment. I especially enjoy the dialogue interaction with the human characters, I really hope that further updates will expand those too! All in all this is a great game to leave running in the background while you go about your day. Having a bad day? The tiny birds have speech bubbles that give you compliments and tell you to take care of yourself. This is the peak of technology right here folks.

And to all those reviews complaining about this being a "knockoff Neko Atsume":
Please have more respect for all the effort that went into this game. The only thing that is similar is the concept of befriending animals. All the art, programing, and fun features probably took a lot of time to make, and you're getting it for FREE. Be nicer to the people who put hard work into this cute game just so that you could see happy little birds!

TL:DR
Amazing cute game, many good birds, would absolutely recommend

### 2/5 — Not Enough Content

*2020-08-02, version 1.4.2*

I love birds enough that I keep this game anyway, but in general there’s... just... not enough to do, even as far as simulation games go. You buy a few trinkets, decorate the garden, fill the bird feeder, and you just... wait. And when birds do show up you only get one line of interactivity and then they just... sit there and do nothing! They don’t even seem to interact with other birds! Even more insultingly enough I realized when I’ve done the 3 things you can interact with and close out the program, then come back to it a few hours later, you get all sorts of letters and notifications telling you all the birds you missed while you were gone! As if the game punishes you for not giving it full attention for hours on end, when all the gameplay that’s available in one sitting is just 5 minutes max.

Am I missing something here? Because all I see is a cute art style (and well designed birds). I don’t know anything about this developer, but from a technical standpoint I feel like they’ve -barely- made a game here, and I don’t particularly feel strongly about shelling out money for something you don’t do anything with. This is just eye candy with no substance, just like 80% of all other mobile games, and that disappoints me because I also saw this game for sale on Steam, so I THOUGHT there was more to it.

### 3/5 — It’s cute, but gets boring quickly...

*2019-09-30, version 1.4.1*

There really isn’t much to do in this game. Put out seeds, meet different birds, put hats on them, and buy them treats. There’s an “affinity” aspect to the game, meaning if the bird loves you enough, you’ll know more things about them and they’ll also send you letters, but I find that even after buying one bird several different hats and all the treats available, I still wasn’t able to reach any sort of meaningful affinity with them. Oh, I guess there are options to raise baby birds and “talk” to random people too, but those options aren’t very fun nor do they add anything except the illusion that there’s more to the game. I did spend 20 dollars in micro transactions because I see potential in this game, but it’s not really there yet. I’d like to see what more the developer can add to make it better.

### 3/5 — Adorable concept.

*2018-10-15, version 1.2.1*

Started playing the game about 1 week ago and I must say it’s adorable . The fact they have their own personalities and do things normal birdies wouldn’t do I’m sure, it’s super weird and cute.

Plus they have the cutest hats !

My only downside and reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is the back ground . No offense but it’s cheaply done. It’s washed out and should be more spacious from the start and look cleaner. It’s super zoomed in! I unlocked the birthday cake background to see if it would be better .. same deal . Super close can’t even tell if it’s a cake . Then we gotta spend 200 shiny feathers for the same washed out background to expand? Ehh. I’m not saying to change your style because it’s good but just not perfect for this cute game ! And the items look like they don’t even belong in the places where you allow them. They look so cluncky. Let us place them where we want instead and have our little friends drop more shiny feathers .. they being so cheap lately lol.

Anyways, cheers !

### 4/5 — Needs some polish

*2019-07-27, version 1.3.3*

A simple and fun game that helps fill time. Could use polish is some areas, like when taking pictures of birds in the top of the garden, part of the UI is included in the shot. This is a particular shame for me as I like to take pictures of the birds with their speech bubbles to share with friends. Related to that, there could be an option to save pictures directly to the device when taking them. Finally, video ads can be very loud and can start playing unexpectedly after a screen transition. I’ve taken to playing the game only after muting my iPad, which is a shame as the music is very nice and calming.

### 4/5 — February 2019 update has problems

*2019-02-27, version 1.3.2*

I love the game and I’ve been playing for a few months. However, the recent update has some issues.
- Treat tracker. The idea is great, because I always wondered which birds had which treats. However, this feature doesn’t work well on my iPhone. I can only see the first few treats. When you try to scroll, only the background scrolls.
- Ads cover the bird interaction buttons. When there’s an ad at the bottom, you cannot select the individual birds in the garden.
- Previous treats - gone? It appears that all of the treats that I previously gave to tiny birds are now gone. I have friendship points for each bird, but it appears that the update wiped out the treats that I had previously given to each bird.
I hope these little glitches can be fixed soon. I really enjoy this game. It’s relaxing and fun.

**Developer response:** Hi there! The scrolling issue and the ad banner in main the garden have been fixed as of the newest patch (1.3.3). As the treat tracker is a new feature, any treats given before the 1.3.2 update won't appear within it.

### 4/5 — So cute!

*2019-01-29, version 1.2.1*

I saw Game Grumps play this and decided to check it out. It is adorable! I love all the unique birds and the different things you can find out about them. My only issues are that it’s not really clear how to get more hearts other than getting their favorite treats or hats and it’s not always clear what their favorites are. Because of that, it is a bit frustrating to spend your feathers on things you think will be their favorites only to be wrong and then the item is stuck with them so you have to rebuy the items again and again. I feel like if the item is not a favorite of theirs, you should be able to take it back into your inventory to use on another bird so you don’t have to constantly rebuy things. I don’t think this would cause any loss in play because you still have to figure out who would like it best and each bird has multiple favorites so you still have to get to know them and not just apply everything until something sticks. Just a suggestion. Other than that everything else is amazing!

### 4/5 — Like Nemo atsume but better

*2018-10-02, version 1.2.1*

Hi I love this game however I have a couple suggestions! My favorite part is how inclusive this game in, as it has nonbianary birds. You should add more birds that are on the LGBT spectrum! That would be amazing. Also it would be great if you could talk to the birds, and get to know them. Maybe you could be able to build relationships with them through selected dialogue conversations. This would help out your app users because then they could better select gifts and hats for the birds to play with because then they have a better understanding of their personality. The little paragraph about the birds personality is great, but it still isn’t enough to find favorite gifts and toys for them :) Thanks so much for making this amazing game though! It makes my heart happy to see this kind of inclusivity.

### 4/5 — I love it, but needs notifications

*2018-08-30, version 1.2.0*

I love games like this, where you get to meet tiny little cute animals and buy things for them, etc. but I literally always forget to come back once the bird feeder is empty. I hadn’t opened the app for maybe like 3 weeks and then I remembered I had it. I recommend putting in cute push notifications to remind your users to come back. Maybe something like “Your bird feeder is empty!” Or “Your bird friends miss you!” Or “Come feed us!” Etc. It would be a perfect game if it just had push notifications to remind me. So yeah, please think about making that a thing 😊

### 4/5 — A cute game!

*2018-05-18, version 1.1.0*

Wow, an honestly cute litlle game! Most games like this try to force you to spend real dollars in order to advance, and if you succumb to that, your real money doesn’t go very far — they go out of their way to return as little as possible for your money.

Not this game! I did spend some real money on it, and I really felt like it was worth it; I got an incredible bit of mileage out of my cash. Yet the freebie parts aren’t skimpy, either. This game really is a cute, fun experience whether you pay $$ or not. So, yeah, I’m happy I gave my cash to a company that doesn’t cheat me on fun!

Besides that, this is a very calm, cute, peaceful game of bird-watching & bird “collecting”. The folk-art style is charming, and the tiny birds & the outfits are cute as all get-out. I’m looking forward to whatever else Retro puts out, and to wherever they take Tiny Birds in the future.

### 4/5 — It has good feeling to it

*2018-05-16, version 1.1.0*

This game is really gentle and calm and i love that so much about it. The designs of the birds, characters, game itself are so cute. And i love the music. I just think its amazing that this is the first game this team has made (i think?). The effort and care put into it is apparent. I am really excited to see more games you will make in the future, because the heart in it shows and thats what makes a game especially nice to play. Making a game is something ive wanted to try at least once and this has made me realize that again too.
Im not really a fan of phone games at all but this is something i will play from time to time, because it is just really wonderful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I recommend this adorable game ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

*2022-03-16, version 1.4.6*

Hi! This game is so amazing and addictive! One glitch is when a bird flies in to visit your garden if you go to the menu tab or any tab in the game the bird still flies on your screen, (For fans of “Alex the honking bird” I recently reached 10 hearts (max) with Alex the honking bird and renamed him “Honky Potter” because it’s a cute name. Also RIP ALEX I LOVE U!!) and when I went to give him a cute hat the screen went black then randomly went back to normal but everything was like sci-fi glitchy and laggy. Dude that was creepy.. anyway.. thanks!! (°▽°)

### 5/5 — Too much cute birds and also really good game

*2021-09-12, version 1.4.6*

There’s so many cute birds like there’s one that stole my heart faster than this book and game called klepto dogs I literally said they can steal your heart faster than they can steal your sandwich and they can do that really fast but that birds do it faster I mean gosh darn it was so cute and there was another one Hammons that was the best customer and he was adorable so yeah I have to get a five star review and for people that like adorable games that bring them to their happy place I would 100% recommend this and the maker of this game please text back I would love that because I don’t really review that often but this game deserves one

### 5/5 — It’s adorable! But sad to see the baby bird fly away

*2021-04-01, version 1.4.6*

So I just raise A little bird named Bert. Bert is a little hatchling Who needs some love and happiness Inside his Little heart❤️ it took me days of having fun with Bert until it was time The time for Bert to fly away when it was time The nursery took me high
into the clouds and I saw him without the swirly hair on his head
He was an adult bird a full grown a bird and flyaway after he did that he send me a heartwarming letter it was a cute & sad sight to see i’m still glad that I can turn him into just the cute hatchling he was before!

### 5/5 — i absolutely love this game!!

*2020-02-07, version 1.4.2*

as a 17 year old i NEVER write reviews on apps, but i just had to get it out! this game just makes me feel so wholesome and warm inside! from the birds reminding you of your worth and to take care of yourself, to the SWEETHEARTS that are the human characters you can interact with, not to mention how beautiful this game and its art is from a visual perspective, (and how CUTE this game is!) there’s nothing not to love! i wish i could give it a star for every time this game has surprised me with something so small, SO minor that just absolutely makes my heart EXPLODE! (in the best way possible). i absolutely love this game-the ads are small and short and absolutely worth keeping my data on to hope all of the creators get every penny they deserve! thank you so much for everything you’ve done in this game and you are doing wonderfully! i hope you’re having a wonderful night as you read this❤️🐓🦜🕊

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing

*2019-12-18, version 1.4.2*

I love this game, and I might be slightly addicted. I have always had a love for birds, and when my friend recommended this game i almost said no, but I’m glad I didn’t. This game has so many cute and small birds, and they all have cute dialogue. Some even give cute life quotes, which I greatly appreciate. This game is so calming and just gives me so much happiness, and it’s amazing. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Depression and ADD (and some others) at a young age, but this game just makes me so happy when I feel like the world has turned its back. It gives me something to focus on, and something to calm me down, it’s amazing! My only complaint would be that the game tends to lag a bit when you go to the shiny shop or nursery. Although this might just be my internet acting up as usual. But anyway, this game is completely amazing and it has brought me so much joy just to see these little birds on my screen, so thank you to the creator(s) of this amazing game, five stars, highly recommended. (Sorry for my rambling).

### 5/5 — Good for the soul

*2019-10-19, version 1.4.2*

I can’t begin to describe how much I love this little game. It’s reminiscent of neko atsume, but with a lot more vibrancy and a lot of love. The in-game currency is fair (you can watch ads for feathers too!), there’s so many different birds to see, and I adore the nursery where you can take care of little birdies too. But what gets me is how *positive* the atmosphere is. The characters you meet and talk to in the game are kind and warm, and the birds are just the same. Everything is so lighthearted and loving. To me, coming to this game feels how coming home should feel. To the developer, thank you. Thank you so much. This game has brought me a lot of peace.

### 5/5 — Just like Neko Atsume, But BETTER

*2019-10-01, version 1.4.1*

This is just like Neko Atsume only better! It’s an amazing game! I love the different options in how you can dress them up and get different birds!! The art style is so cute too and the fact I’m already shipping people most like means there’s a good story line! Maybe we can do tasks for the different people like find a new bird or be on the app at a certain time, we maybe could even design bird hats out of the feathers we get (human hats and other clothes could work too) maybe for one Retta if you hatch a new bird you get a new egg she found or some maybe new seeds! I suggest, the harder the quest the greater the prize! I love this game so much and I just got it!!
-Emma

### 5/5 — A Wholesome Good Time

*2019-06-24, version 1.3.3*

I almost never write reviews, but I have never been more pleased with a game than Tiny Bird Garden. It’s fun, simple, and very feel-good. I highly recommend it to any bird lover or fan of tomogatchi-like experiences. The in-app purchases are not forced even in the slightest, and you can still get the full experience without them. The birds all have wonderful personalities, and trying to discover their favorite treats and toys based on their info is such a neat mechanic! I feel like baby birds could be added on to a little more, but it doesn’t damper the experience much. Overall, if you’re considering getting this game, please do!! It’s absolutely lovely, and overflowing with charm.

### 5/5 — Cute game!

*2019-06-18, version 1.3.3*

I just recently downloaded this game and gave a good look over most of the reviews. The rude ones are just mostly stuff about the ads, but how do you think the developer gets most of her money? I also like how the developer responded calmly and gave the rude users a place to explain their problems. So far, I’ve loved the art of the game and the cute idea of little birds coming into your garden. It reminds me exactly like Nemo Atsume, a game which I still love and play today. Anyone reading this should definitely download this game and see what they think, because I’m positive you will absolutely love it!

### 5/5 — A literal lifesaver

*2019-04-12, version 1.3.3*

I’ve had severe depression most of my life. This winter, it guy really bad and all I could bring myself to do was go to work. I found myself switching between the same few apps with no interest. I was browsing the App Store one day, saw this, and downloaded it. The bright colors and the friendly vibes I got from it were great! It was simple enough I could easily get into it. It really helped when I was sad because the little birds are so happy! I do t have the words to properly describe this game other than excellent
