### 4/5 — Lovely cosy app

*2026-08-25, version 1.1.10*

Firstly, the game is lovely, peaceful and surprisingly addictive. I thought it was worth the 7.99 especially as once you pay, that’s it, no further ads or nonsense. But perhaps a little longer demo would be good. A lot of quests going on and you don’t really have choices about taking them all on. Would be nice to have more interesting and meaningful decisions without so much constant forced interruptions (why are there so many plants lol!) Some niggly bugs: Tomasz doesn’t show up in the journal as a character, many recommendations are too rigid (no romance in Robin Hood? Really?) and too few sites where anyone will buy kids books, but these are all things that the developer will no doubt smooth out over time. Hopefully they’ll also continue to add to the book db - one of the best elements is spotting old favourites and learning about new titles. It’s such a clever and unique game idea and I hope it will be around and continue to grow for a long time. Well done to all involved.

### 4/5 — Great cozy game, but heats up phone

*2026-08-24, version 1.1.10*

I really enjoy this game, but can only play 1-2 days at a time before my phone gets so hot that it’s almost uncomfortable to hold. Makes me nervous

### 4/5 — Adorable but keeps crashing.

*2026-08-23, version 1.1.10*

I love this game, so cozy and sweet but please sort out the fact it keeps freezing and crashing, then you’d get 5 stars for sure. I know it’s just this game cause no others do it. Freezes regularly for a few seconds and crashes out most days. Otherwise I love it

### 3/5 — Don’t buy the game it’s, False advertising

*2026-08-23, version 1.1.10*

Just wanted to own a tiny shop, why can’t I reject the business proposal. I do not care for the NPC tilde, or the cat she dumped on us. Like she picked up her favourite game but abandoned her cat? After she asked us to take care of her, she’s not a stray. Literally cat dumping isn’t cute. Definitely don’t want to get into business with a npc like that. Trying my best to avoid the plot, and play the game that was advertised, selling books to people in seaside town. I’m Walter at heart, and see people as they are… and I find tilde disturbing and weird. Please update the game so I can reject this creepy skin walker, and allow us to play the cozy game aspect without her involvement. Thank you.

### 4/5 — Great game, HOT phone

*2026-08-21, version 1.1.10*

This game is everything I could ever want in a mobile game. Chill, low stakes, engaging, no ads. The sad news is that running the game makes my iPhone16 unbearably HOT. It’s too hot to even touch and I have to use a stylus when playing. This means I can’t play for very long, which is tragic because it has so much potential.

### 3/5 — Makes phone hot

*2026-08-19, version 1.1.10*

Seems like a good game, unfortunately I was unable to play for very long as it made my phone really hot. So hot it was uncomfortable to hold.

### 4/5 — An amazing depth of experience in a casual game.

*2026-08-18, version 1.1.10*

This game is truly exceptional. In my opinion, it’s well worth the cost to purchase the full version of the game. The game play is relaxing and casual, yet the story line is stimulating and thought provoking. The characters that you get to know over time, the seasonal changes that occur, and the situations that develop are all very clever and intriguing.

Essentially, you are a bookseller who travels to different locations, selling books of various genres. As you do so, you meet different characters with unique personalities and you try to fulfill their requests.

To be honest, this game will especially appeal to book lovers and to those who don’t mind the somewhat tedious task of picking out books that meet the needs of clients. A knowledge of books is really a plus here.

It may seem tedious and repetitive at first, but there is a depth here that really doesn’t present itself until you play the game for a while. The more locations you visit and the more characters you interact with, the more the game experience develops. Don’t be hasty; patience will be rewarded.

The reason I gave this game four stars instead of five is that it forces the player to participate in various holiday events whether they want to or not. This is not optional for me. For instance, I did not want to participate in the haunted house ghost event, but there was no option to opt out. I find this offensive. I really hope the game developers can alter this. It makes a difference for me.

Overall, this is a clever, intelligent, and empathetic game that promotes kindness, unity, and literacy. What an awesome breath of fresh air in the gaming world!

### 2/5 — Seems promising but keeps crashing

*2026-08-12, version 1.1.10*

It seems promising, but every time I get to the screen where Tilde doesn’t find the classic book she’s looking for (so about 30 seconds into game play), the game crashes and freezes. I can still access the pause menu but nothing else. Sad :(

### 2/5 — Keeps freezing

*2026-08-10, version 1.1.10*

It keeps freezing and I have to keep redoing levels

### 5/5 — Beautiful Game!!

*2026-08-08, version 1.1.10*

The creator of this game really did their big one I feel so heartwarming every time I play this game thank you for this experience, because this is actually something I’d want to do in life

### 3/5 — Well I was loving it

*2026-08-07, version 1.1.10*

Unfortunately my game got to a point where I apparently unlocked what’s phrased like it’s an upgrade but it’s actually an ending.

At the end of the in game day, I was redirected into one of the interactive cutscenes like you get at the end of seasons, and when it was done, the camera panned up to the sky, thanked me for playing, and said there was much more in the full game. I have already bought the full game. And then it just sat pointed at the sky with no interface, no menu, not even credits.

It’s especially odd if your phone is on silent because if it weren’t for tiny sparkles of shooting stars in the sky it would just look like the device had frozen. Eventually I closed the app, and sure enough when I reload I’m back to the start of the day that ends my game.

Can’t tell you how disappointing it is to have it cut off like that. I understand if the developers want to encourage replays, but it’s a really weird way to do it. Especially when the language presents it like you’re going to unlock something cool and still continue driving your lil shop around town.

An option to continue would be nice. An option to start a new game maybe with different difficulty or demand but with perks earned from the previous game would be nice. A *menu button* would be nice. Credits would be disappointing but better than this.

Hoping the devs have more content in store. But if nothing else, seriously, that message about more to do in the full game is not in the correct place.

—

On another note: I see people complaining that the game isn’t free, and saying in app purchases are for buying progression and extras. This is like saying payment terminals are for buying sodas because you like sodas. In app purchases are Apple’s way of letting developers charge from within an installed app. What the developers offer in exchange is an ocean of possibilities. In this case they’re offering an ad-free game that you can just play as much as you like.

I’m crazily disappointed that my game ended so suddenly, but that’s because I was having fun playing it and not just sitting around waiting for energy to refill. Hoping for updates, but never thought it was meant to be free.

### 2/5 — Paid to preorder, now required to pay more?!

*2026-08-06, version 1.1.10*

Cute game, no issue there. However, I paid for a pre-order of this game, got access to the same 3 days everyone else gets for free, and now need to pay $8 more for the full game? Something’s rotten here. Sent an email via the company website without any success.

### 5/5 — Absolutely charming

*2026-08-06, version 1.1.10*

I reckon this is the best mobile game I’ve run into the past 5 years. So much character, charm, and style.

Huge props to the creators.

### 3/5 — cute but not worth 7.99

*2026-08-06, version 1.1.10*

The game is very cute, cozy and calm .. fun too but it says a three day free trial, but I just downloaded it today and I already got to the end of the demo and only went to two cities, ill just continue watching youtubers play this game $7.99 is way to much for this game.. and it is definitely not a three day trial. It literally takes about 30 minutes to an hour and you’re at the end of the demo.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-08-05, version 1.1.10*

Wholesome and cozy game✨ so glad they released it for phones too

### 5/5 — Perfect game for me

*2026-08-05, version 1.1.10*

I have so much enjoyed this game. It is well worth the (small) price. They even recently rolled out an extension of the game with no additional charge. There are no ads and no in game purchases. Even after finishing the quests and achievements, one can continue to decorate and buy and sell books. I hope the developers are working on another game just as clean and fun as this one.

### 3/5 — Addicting at a price

*2026-08-03, version 1.1.10*

I preordered this game for free on the app store and got it for free, I was having a lot of fun playing until one day it says I can't play anymore. I have been playing since before you had to pay and now I cant continue. Spent hours for nothing. They also should let you know in game about the trial!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stuck on loading screen

*2026-08-12, version 1.1.10*

Couldn’t open the game - was stuck on loading screen for five minutes before I exited the game

### 1/5 — Potential

*2026-08-10, version 1.1.10*

When I first downloaded the game, I was super impressed and intrigued. I thought it was a very unique and original idea that I hadn’t seen before. After playing for a while, though, I started noticing little things that I felt could be improved, especially considering that this is a paid game.

One of my biggest recommendations would be adding a profile and character customization. It would be nice to create a character, choose a name, and have the game feel more personal. I think this would make players feel more involved and connected to the dialogue and interactions with the characters.

I also would have loved for the supermarket to be an actual store where we could shop for shelves, decorations, and other things for the bookshop. Right now, there are very limited options for when and what you can get. I would also love to see RV upgrades. The space, paint, item placement, and overall style of the RV feel very limited. Since players are paying for the game, I think there should be more ways to customize the “tiny bookshop” and really make it feel like our own.

I feel like these limitations would be more understandable if this were a $2.99 game, but this game costs $8. For a game at that price, it is honestly a letdown to see how limited some of these things are. The concept is amazing and beautiful, but I don’t feel like it was executed as well as it could have been.

Another thing worth mentioning is that this game overheats my iPad like no other game I have played. What makes this more frustrating is that the game itself feels fairly simple. There aren’t serious graphics or a lot of movement. We don’t even have characters that we can play as or move around with, and the camera movement is also limited. Because of this, I wouldn’t expect the game to make my iPad heat up as much as it does.

I also want to touch on something that ultimately rubbed me the wrong way. I feel this game contains a lot of political and social commentary. At first, I didn’t mind it, but over time I started noticing a very large number of books discussing politics, race/racism, activism, feminism, homosexuality, gay marriage, sexual identity, sexual intercourse, they/them pronouns, and transgender topics. It isn’t just an occasional book or a topic that appears here and there. There are so many books about these subjects that it starts to feel like they are being heavily pushed throughout the game. I want to make it clear that I’m not against people who identify with or discuss these topics. My concern is that this game is labeled for children 9+, and I personally don’t feel that the amount of mature and controversial social topics presented in the game is appropriate for that age group. I would have preferred the game to focus more on books and storytelling without repeatedly introducing these political and mature social themes.

I also noticed that I came across very little representation of religious perspectives. I would have appreciated seeing a wider variety of perspectives rather than feeling like certain viewpoints were represented much more heavily than others.

I’d suggest either labeling this as a more mature or adult-oriented game, or taking a more balanced and inclusive approach to the political, social, religious, and controversial topics presented. If these subjects are going to be included, I believe different perspectives should be represented fairly and without bias. Otherwise, I would prefer the game to leave these topics out altogether and simply allow it to be a fun escape from reality. Players should be able to immerse themselves in the game without feeling like they are constantly being reminded of particular political or social beliefs.

Overall, I really love the idea behind this game, and I think it has so much potential. I just feel like there are several areas that could be improved, especially considering the $8 price and the age rating.

### 1/5 — .

*2026-08-04, version 1.1.10*

I hate you. Why you don’t make a pay for GAME ??? Not for 4 day???

### 1/5 — Why so expensive?

*2026-07-27, version 1.0.4*

Nice game, I wouldn’t mind paying full game if it wasn’t so expensive. Also why Apple users are targeted for paying more? On google play it costs £1 less than Apple Store. How is this fair?

### 1/5 — PLS READ ALL FOR creators AND players

*2026-07-26, version 1.0.4*

I have a couple of ideas tho you don’t need to use these

First idea: So I was thinking about writing our own books.
I mean the NPC can say the names that we put on them
This is just for fun
And you can also set what theme that is
But you can turn that in and off in settings

Second idea: so I wish that people
 “like online people”
Can visit your shop of books and read them
And you can turn that on and off in setttings

Third idea: I wished that you put an horror book on there or either that you can like when you go on you can unlock new themes
Like
“Horror”
“Cute”
“Comedy”
And also combine like
“Classic/comedy”
“Kids/crime”
Something like that to add a bit of flavour and more if you want
You can turn off and on if you want all of the, at once

Fourth idea: so remember when I said
that
“online players can visit your store and read your books”
can you also add a feature like
“online players”
also adding a review to your shop
So that the other
“online players that hasn’t been to your shop yet can read the reviews and ratings”
You can add a setting thing where you can not see the ratings and reviews

5 idea: if you do add the fourth idea
Can you make like a ban or kick out or block
Or reported for
 “online players”
that is being rude
So it’ll make the game safer and more balanced

And when you ban them they can’t add a review and when that player is blocked from your store they also can’t add a rating to your store

Idea 6: and also when you get into the mode when you go and create your stories give a warning not to copy right
And also a other warning about not to do

Idea 7: so um like can you choose what you want in your theme books
And can every object has its own theme
And if you like add 6 classic then more classic likers will come
Or like 4 kids and 5 science then more science likers will come but also kids
Or you can just like put it off in the settings

Idea 8: you could add a place where everything you do is free like
When you want to build a book free
But the stuff not free
And if like someone buys the book you can copy the book at any time

Idea 9: can you add where you can reset the game in the menu

So yea that is my ideas even tho you don’t get much information of what you know about the game
You should really try it and pls give it support

Because right now the game is kinda blend
And from adding a little ideas it won’t be so blend

But I get it if you don’t wanna use any of these ideas of mine if it doesn’t match your style
I just think that that’ll be cool

I was really looking forward to the update
But when I got in the update was about

Buying the game
I gave you all these ideas and this is how you betray them

Why can’t we just have a game that doesn’t need buying
So disappointed

I rather ads

### 1/5 — Too Much Of A Drain On IPad

*2026-07-25, version 1.0.4*

I have the most powerful iPad but this game is an incredible drain on the battery and the screen heats up to a very worrying level. I paid for this game but have had to delete it as I feel it will damage my expensive iPad in time. Total waste of money.

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2026-07-24, version 1.0.4*

It’s not free

### 1/5 — Paid Version isn’t Full Version

*2026-07-24, version 1.0.4*

Was annoyed by it being free in the AppStore then have to pay $8 for it. But I did because there seemed to be a lot of content. I put a lot of time into this game, got to a turning point in the game where you get to open a new storefront. Then the screen fades out and says enjoy more content in the full version. What??? I paid $8 for the full version. What is this?

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2026-07-23, version 1.0.4*

This game is not free as it claims to be. It only has a free tutorial that you waste time getting into the game just for them to try to charge you to be able to continue playing. Not a good experience

### 1/5 — 7,99 €

*2026-07-23*

Anstatt direkt im Store den Preis von 7,99 € anzuzeigen, muss man erstmal Datenvolumen verschwenden, um direkt im ersten Screen damit überrascht zu werden. Direkt wieder deinstalliert…

### 5/5 — another cozy ipad game

*2026-08-15, version 1.1.10*

this game is really fun. I’ve played it on PC and I’m incredibly happy that it’s come to iOS as well. You get to run a bookshop in a small town and build relationships with the community. The game is perfect to play after a long day of work. I really enjoy it and I want to thank the developers for bringing it to iOS.

### 5/5 — Love it

Great game

### 5/5 — love this game!

*2026-08-11, version 1.1.10*

This game is super cute and fun! I love all the graphics and thought out characters. Everything about this game is cute from the music to being able to decorate your store. I’m not a big book reader but this game is so captivating and interesting to watch progress.

### 5/5 — I love this game!

*2026-08-11, version 1.1.10*

Not just a tycoon game, a cosy game with friendly characters and quests. Right level of challenge. My only request is that I would like for this game to go longer! Within about a week of high frequency gameplay Im already about at the end. Maybe a part 2 where you run the book store? So good! Wonderful find.

### 5/5 — Great and beautiful cozy game

*2026-08-10, version 1.1.10*

I love this game, I play it on an iPhone 13 and whilst it does make my phone warm, it doesn’t affect the playing ability or running of my phone. It’s very cute and great fun, highly recommend!! Hopefully looking forward to many additions and other quests coming in the future!
