It’s always amazing but sadly, they still have not updated the screen to allow wider devices like the new iPhones or Samsung’s or androids to accommodate the screen of the game (25% of the screen is missing due to how small it is on the larger screens of these devices) ### 4/5 — Fun game *2023-03-29, version 1.1.14* Really well done. Playing with any skill requires significant micromanagement of your characters to move and upgrade them, but it is impossible on a phone screen to select the right one or even tell which you have selected before irreversibly upgrading. The text is even too small to read for some character stats. Clearly intended to be played on desktop or tablet, just a lazy port to phone. Will there be any DLC/more levels? I like the art style, characters, class system and I think this is a good card game. But I’ve got an issue with the game which is maddening. Don’t get me wrong:I do actually like the game and would recommend it HOWEVER you can’t actually the characters, at least for me, and it seemed possibly bugged..? You can either spend real money to buy more heroes or keep grinding (which is boring and really repetitive since you just play the same levels). I want to buy the wizard or hat ever it’s called but it costs 20 stars. After many hours, I’ve saved up 19 stars. But the game is bugged because I’ve completed COUNTLESS (lost count after 30 games) of those 'objectives' in order to earn stars so I can buy the extra character. Nope! No matter how many games I play and objectives I complete, the game refuses to 'complete' the objectives for me even though I’ve met the requirements and have completed them. They just won’t recognize that I’ve completed them. Also if you replay the earlier missions (like tutorial) you cannot skip the tutorial text even though it’s your 6th time playing through it. Let the game recognize that I’ve completed the objectives for the 10th time so I can earn the stars to unlock my desired character and I’ll rate 5 stars. It’s so frustrating and a waste of time when you complete an objective for the 10th time and the game won’t reward you for completing the objectives. Even after 4 years of this game’s release? The texts and the UI of this game are so tiny and small that I can BARELY read the texts on this game. So small, WHY? Why? Why? I am not even a person that uses spectacles or has any single issue of visibility or eye problem but this game and it’s developers are living in their own planet, they don’t care what the costumers suggests or criticize about. Having the main target be the summoner who must be protected by her own summoned warriors is such a simple yet clever change that makes the entire entire experience so unique compared to all other tower defence games I have played in past. Tiny Guardians is well worth your time and investment. Post-knight and now Post-knight 2 is out, but Tiny Guardians hasn't gotten anything new. Issues for me: 1. You can't bring new units to previous missions - makes doing older missions more of a chore than enjoyment, and takes away the fun of the challenge (can't use new "cards" on hard-mode either). Possible solution: allow new units to be used on older levels right away, or maybe it's unlocked after finishing the main storyline. 2. The story is sweet, but once you complete it, besides endless mode, there isn't much to do/aim for... Possible solution: New game-modes, or maybe a "portal to another world" situation, or Lunala does a new map with [Spoiler]. 3. The game screen and features are copy and pasted when played on different platforms. So, on my iphone I can barely read some of the writing due to how the game fills the screen, or I can't see some of the time release circles because they are almost completely offscreen! 4. Targeting issues: the way the a.i. targeting works makes it impossible for you to "make" your units attack a particular enemy, so sometimes your units are decimated because the targeting system doesn't allow you to "prioritize" certain targets! Overall a great, smoothly built game that is tricky to play, at times, but fun to pick up! ### 5/5 — Reunion Be So Sweet *2021-09-16, version 1.1.14* Visiting this game after a long hiatus of another hiatus of this game. I first decided to pick up this game again due to 7th grade nostalgia, and every time the game gives me the fun I so enjoyed then. From the charming art style and simple mechanics to the interesting challenges the enemies present, this game is a classic for anyone in my opinion! I just hope there is more from the developers. ### 5/5 — Cute and strategic *2021-08-23, version 1.1.14* Comparisons to Kingdom Rush aside, this is a very fun “reverse tower defense”. Guiding the main character through hoards of baddies is very fun, and in some fights it gets quite hectic, swiping here and there trying to herd your lil defensive units to safety. Sometimes it’s a little too hectic, and even on my large phone screen it’s easy to poke the wrong unit during a fracas leading to some minor frustration, but it mostly works well. The graphics are unfortunately the main reason people assume this is a Kingdom Rush clone. The character design definitely has its own style though, and some of the units are downright adorable. The level design is a bit less engaging (I wish I could zoom out!) but definitely serviceable. All in all this is a solid, unique game, and much more than it appears at first glance. ### 5/5 — THE EPIC TINY GUARDIANS *2021-08-20, version 1.1.14* Hi, Everyone should do 5 stars even if they fail. I added in my mind the No. 1 game. Make the game even more better by adding new characters that are free so we can have amazing futures of game fighting, victory and more.
