For example, it starts with fighting critters that have 1HP with a 1 damage sword. After a while, their HP doubles, but sword damage only goes up 1 per upgrade, so you’ll encounter enemies with 10HP… that take two hits from your sword regardless of whether it’s level 5 or level 9, and the material cost for those upgrades take hours to grind. “Helpfully,” they offer a pay to win scheme with ads, but it defeats the purpose entirely; you’re basically watching an ad so you don’t have to play the game so much. ### 4/5 — Good game but could be better *2026-08-17, version 1.1.21* Don’t get me wrong but this is a really fun and cute game. The game presents a white character alongside darker-skinned characters who are depicted as tribal, minimally clothed, and coded as “primitive.” This mirrors a long standing and harmful trope where darker-skinned people are framed as uncivilized or less developed. This reinforces colonial stereotypes, even if unintentionally. Diversity should include dignity, complexity, and parity in how characters are designed and contextualized. I thought it was just you running around getting resources on a tiny island. But it’s SO MICH MORE THAN THAT!!! when I reached the dungeon I was so surprised! when I reached the dungeon boss I was shocked that the game kept going! And it keeps going after that!! The dev put. Lot of thought and love into this game. It’s very nostalgic, it reminds me of an early dungeon crawler pixel game on an old gameboy. It has a fun and continuous adventure, a cute plot and lovely art and characters! It’s really wonderful. The ads are also not intrusive. There’s only a short ad when you rest, and an optional ad to get more resources. I usually avoid spending money on the game but it was worth supporting the developer to buy the starter pack to remove ads. You get all the things the ads provide (including the resource bundles) instantly. I finished the game now and it was very satisfying! I’m going to look at the developers other games!
