### 5/5 — So happy I found this!

*2019-03-12*

I was having so much trouble breastfeeding and their lactation consultant fixed our latch problem within minutes. Highly recommend this app for any new parent!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Instagram Trap!

*2020-04-21*

I got this for my wife and I since the whole COVID situation and our parenting classes were all cancelled. Whatever you do - don’t waste your money on this. Hardly any content even available, nothing new is ever added, and there is far better material you can get from trusted resources online for free or from your hospital. The videos are weak. I don’t need talking heads showing me a bunch of PowerPoint slides. I can do that on my own. A note for Tinyhood - get better content, better speakers, and actually provide what you promised.. something I can’t get elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Missing and repetitive content

*2020-03-06*

Thought the Safety 101 course would go more in-depth than the “refresher” given in Baby 101. Wasted an extra $15, since it was the same exact content. Also— where is the video content for the 4th module (baby care) in the Baby 101 course? I can’t view it. I was also surprised by how short everything is and how it really only skims the surface and doesn’t go into details. Don’t waste your $$ on this!!

### 2/5 — Terrible as a forum

*2020-01-03*

This app is extremely limited as a mobile way to interact with the forum part of Tinyhood. It shows a limited number of notifications—even if the badge says you have 24 new notifications, when you open the app it will only show you the last 20. And if you click on a notification on your iPhone lock screen it just opens the app but doesn’t bring you to the actual post that the notification was for, it just brings you to the home screen and you have to scroll through everything trying to find it (assuming you even remember what hood it was in and what the post title was!). The Profile page has a header for your recent posts but there is never anything under it, so there is no easy way to check for comments on your posts—again you have to scroll through everything. If you post something to the Marketplace and it sells, there is no way to mark it as sold from the app. Your options are to report your own post (?!) or delete it. The only thing this app is good for (other than the money-making courses) is for direct message notifications. And even then sometimes hours pass between the message being sent and the notification being received—so if you’re coordinating anything time sensitive just use text messages instead of this crap.

**Developer response:** Hi erasure76, we appreciate your thorough feedback! All of your issues have been addressed and fixed in the latest version of the app. Please let us know if you find any further issues and we would be happy to address those as well. You can also submit feature requests and bugs to support@tinyhood.com. Thank you!

### 3/5 — Mobile app has issues casting

*2021-04-13*

Good information on this app! I am just disappointed with the technical glitches. Videos don’t play seamlessly, they restart from the beginning. If you toggle to another app or use your mobile device while casting, the videos lose their place and restart when you toggle back to Tinyhood.

### 3/5 — Content is helpful, app is finicky

*2021-02-13*

As a soon-to-be first time mother of twins, the content has been super helpful in preparing for my boys to arrive! That said, the app is super finicky to the extent that I find myself getting distracted. Videos won’t always load (even when I have full WiFi access), and I can’t always fast forward a video if I had to stop in the middle - meaning I’m spending a lot of time rewatching content I’ve already seen. After I complete a video, sometimes it shows a check mark to remind me it is completed, but it’s inconsistent. And closing the handouts to go back to the course list takes you all the way back to the top of the list... it can be hard to figure out where you left off. Overal, happy with the courses but wish the app experience was better.

### 3/5 — Extremely glitchy

*2020-10-13*

I want to just watch the classes that I’ve paid for, but if I want to use the app 1) no sound and 2) I can’t fast forward or pick up where I left off. Basically rendering the app and the classes completely useless. I can get sound through safari, but still - can’t select a different part/lesson of the class and can’t fast forward at all. I really don’t want to have wasted $50 on a worthless program.

### 3/5 — Great content...NO SOUND

*2020-08-31*

The classes themselves are awesome but I keep having to watch them in Safari because the app doesn’t have any sound (or subtitles for most of the videos). No other app I have installed has this issue and I’ve spent far too long trying to troubleshoot the problem for this to be user error.

### 3/5 — No sound on app

*2020-07-30*

The classes are great but the app has no sound! I tried deleting and reuploading the app, and even after I got a new phone the app refused to play with sound. Using the website is less convenient. I took the free breastfeeding class which is great, but until the sound problem is fixed I am reluctant to pay for the other classes.

### 4/5 — Excellent Content, App Needs Work

*2022-01-11*

I love the content on here, this is a great option for those who don’t want to do a baby course with a set time and day. This allows for you to go at your own pace and it has great material.

However, the app (both for iPhone and iPad) needs work. My suggestions: I personally think the videos should all auto play together within one section, saving the handouts for the end of the section, not interrupting playing of videos. When playing a new video, the gray-out with pause button doesn’t go away on its own after a few seconds. You have to keep touching the screen for it to go away, and even then there is too long of a delay.
May I also suggest an Apple TV app? Streaming to TV from iPad and iPhone does work, however because of the above issues, you can’t just set it and forget it, you have to keep fiddling with it every time there is a new video.

### 4/5 — Love the Classes, App needs to make it easier to login

*2021-03-03*

My husband created our Tinyhood account, but I am unable to login through the App with his login. Love the material offered, but I would like to watch the classes we purchased from my phone but can’t get into my husbands account.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app for new and expecting parents!

*2026-08-21*

Such a great app for guiding you through each stage of parenting! It was a lifesaver for getting my baby to sleep and all the sleep issues that they have had. My husband and I also love watching infant cpr as a refresher

### 5/5 — Easy To Use

*2022-07-30*

This app had been surprisingly easy to use, and pulling up my classes is effortless. I only wish they advertised the app more when you sign up for the classes!

### 5/5 — Sleep 101 Course Worked in 3 Nights!

*2021-10-11*

I just want to say thank you for this class AND for being so responsive via DM. Tonight is Night 3 and baby DID NOT CRY! I placed him in his crib at 6:51 pm and at 7 sharp, he fell asleep soothing himself by sucking his thumb. I have been running on empty for four months, teetering on a mental break down because of sleep deprivation. Last night, baby slept 6 straight hours, did one night feed at 1 am and then slept for four hours straight. I slept 6.5 hrs straight for the first time in a long time and tonight I hope to get more sleep in. Thank you so much! I can’t thank you enough for this education. - a grateful mom

### 5/5 — Really is the missing manual

*2020-05-30*

My wife is expecting and there is an overwhelming amount of information based on generalizations. Tinyhood seems to provide the most important information on the essential topics. For the quality of the classes the pricing is more than reasonable.

### 5/5 — Exactly what we were looking for

*2020-05-22*

Expecting a child this summer and we were feeling really unprepared. Classes were interesting and easy to watch. Everything was organized into chapters which is nice in case we need to revisit anything once baby arrives. So glad our friends recommended this app.

### 5/5 — New Mom Must!

*2019-06-10*

I tell anyone who is expecting or recently had a baby about Tinyhood. It’s a lifesaver. I got a monthly subscription, so had access to all their classes. Sleep essentials and breastfeeding 101 were some of my favorites (my husband even watched them). Being a first time Mom- I felt prepared and confident. I saved myself the time of endless research (in the google black hole of information) and money from not buying dozens of books or working with expensive specialists in our area to help our baby through some sleep struggles. You can tell their classes are taught by real certified experts in their field.

### 5/5 — Excellent resource

*2019-05-02*

This app has been such a tremendous resource as I’m raising three children ranging from newborn to toddler. Tinyhood has been a lifeline for challenges spanning from breastfeeding support to toddler behavioral regression. It’s great to have such a helpful tool at my fingertips and the comfort of knowing I’m connecting with professionals specializing in a variety of parental topics. I’d recommend this to any mom or dad with young children.

### 5/5 — So convenient and safe!

*2019-03-24*

I can literally watch classes wherever I go and it’s so easy to stay connected with their parenting groups and private messages with experts. Also, I never feel judged when I ask questions. I wish this had been around when I had my first kid!!

### 5/5 — Love their toddler classes!

*2019-03-12*

I have been struggling with my two year old son who is having regular tantrums and even starting to hit/bite. I could never find anything helpful online and I don’t have time to read books. So I was so excited when my friend shared the “Dealing with Terrible Twos” class with me. I love how clearly it breaks down everything. I now know what my son is feeling and how to respond in the best way. I shared this class with my husband and I purchased two more classes on nutrition and potty training. Such a cool app!

### 5/5 — Wish I had this app when my first child was born!

*2019-03-12*

I love the experts feature on this app. It’s a huge timesaver. With my first child, I googled and asked other moms about breastfeeding, baby sleep, development, etc. I wasted a lot of time, and I usually found answers not very specific to my situation. After almost five years, with my second, there are a lot of things I’ve forgotten about taking care of a baby. Along with learning a lot from the Tinyhood classes and on-demand videos, I love being able to ask the experts about specific problems and concerns (and getting answers right away!). This app is a lifesaver!
