### 3/5 — Best I’ve found

*2026-07-19, version 11.6*

Hard to navigate but does support funny comic artists so I deal with it.

### 3/5 — Great content, poor usability

*2026-03-27, version 11.0*

I was so thrilled to discover there’s a centralized platform for perusing all the newest content from all my favourite webcomic artists!

There are even bonus panels for paid supporters!

But the app itself is not ideal. It’s structured more like a blog feed, with only the titles of new comics but you have to tap the title to be able to read the actual comic. And then when you go back, there’s no guarantee that you’ll land in the same place in the feed, so sometimes you have to scroll down manually to find the place that you left off. And the “follow “button doesn’t seem to impact the feet at all. You still see everything. A more social-media-like feed of the actual comic strip content, with an option to filter it to the authors you follow seems like it would have been such a better choice?

Second, the three or more individual panels of each strip are presented as separate little images that you scroll through vertically, which is a great reading experience on the phone, But if you want to download the comic, it downloads them as separate little images that you have to stitch back together yourself, and worse, they’re missing the comic strip title and author/artist names. Why would I want to share only one panel with a friend, and not the whole strip? It really needs a “download whole comic” function.

As I said, this is still a great thing. I just wish the useability had the actual end user in mind.

### 3/5 — Navigation and UI

*2025-12-14, version 10.4*

Forces us to update to use the app. Bad navigation and UI. UI made by 90’s designer or from another platform. Doesn’t use swipe to right from edge to go back. Excellent contents.

### 5/5 — My favorites comic strips!

*2024-08-20, version 8.4*

Lunar Baboon Itchy feet Fowl’s comics These are the best ones, I really enjoy them!

### 5/5 — The app

*2024-06-22*

Good app

### 5/5 — Cartoons legais de artistas independentes

*2024-05-17*

O app têm tiras frequentes de vários artistas independentes. Muito legal :)

### 5/5 — The panels fit on the screen

*2024-04-21, version 7.9*

At least so far...

### 3/5 — Friend Invite is broken

*2023-12-12*

This app has a nice feature of giving premium benefits if you invite 5 friends to join on this app but the invite link never generates. It just goes into a loading loophole and never stops. It’s a bug or their trick Idk. Please fix it.

### 3/5 — Tom Tomorrow sent me, anonymously

*2023-09-05, version 7.0*

Creators need to be paid, and when Dan announced in the Patreon email that the strip was moving to Tiny View, I followed and subscribed. It’s a fine little app with a couple of ridiculous vexing choices. First, if you want to have an account and get some sort of benefit, you need to enter a phone number. Nope. We already have a relationship through the App Store. I don’t give my phone number to anyone I don’t believe has a reason and permission to call me. What’s up with that nonsense? Then, if one wants to “follow” a strip, a balloon appears, demanding, “You need to go to Settings and allow Notifications.” No, I don’t. And I won’t, since you demanded it. Perhaps I’d respond differently to an invitation to be made aware when my favorite cartoon has new content for me. That’s different, isn’t it? Perhaps in future versions, they will be more respectful.

### 4/5 — Great artists on board, great concept model, app/service needs more features

*2023-06-16, version 6.9*

First off this is a great model for webcomics. The artists get paid, I don’t have to deal with ads, and the subscription costs are reasonable vs something like subbing to a dozen patreons.

The app/service really needs a few more features like RSS or email digests (make these premium, I’d pay more for them!). Also an iPad app! Seriously these days why build iPhone only?

Glad to see many of my favorite artists and hopefully many more will onboard soon!

### 3/5 — 5 star content 2 star app

*2023-02-18, version 6.5*

I subscribe for the creators, specifically Fowl Language and Lunarbaboon which are both fantastic.

But the app itself needs work and makes it difficult to read the actual comics.
- I don't like the comments, I want the comics
- hard to swipe between comics
- too many taps to read each one
- awkward lists that are hard to understand

This puts me in a difficult position because I want to support the creators of content, but the app itself is disappointing.

### 5/5 — Sweet lil app

*2023-01-17, version 6.3*

Love it, hope they get enough support to continue to grow the number of artists.

### 3/5 — Not my favorite way to read webcomics

*2023-01-05, version 6.3*

I want to support this app because they pay the artists, but my first day on it I’m not super impressed with the layout. I am going to stick with it and hope more of the artists I follow on other apps join up, but wish the comics themselves were more front and center and scrollable.

### 5/5 — Love reading comics on the app

*2022-11-29, version 6.1*

I love reading comics on the app! Some of my favorite artists are here, and I’m glad to be introduced to other artists’ work that I hadn’t seen before. The interface and the design is user friendly, and it helps that there are no distractions/ads as is usual with other social media apps. Just wanted to leave a quick suggestion for the app moderators; it’d be really helpful to bookmark our favorite comics under a single tab for each artist!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pointless app

*2026-07-01, version 11.5*

This app is useless for flowing the view comics I want to follow. There is no way to just go to them to see the latest, instead you are flooded with every comic on the platform whether you follow them or not. I don’t
understand why on earth it is laid out this way. Deleting right after installing.

### 1/5 — Low effort app

*2026-03-28, version 11.0*

Poor navigation and no native iPad support. I’m not reading on a tiny phone screen or a poorly upscaled blurry iPhone app.

### 1/5 — No support for problems

*2022-04-07, version 5.5*

Sent in a request for help through the website because the app would crash on the loading screen every time. That was acknowledged on February 6, and it is now April 7, still never heard anything else.

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2021-05-15, version 3.0.1*

Never loads from a browser/other app, always wants an update every time I use it and is impossible to search. Can’t seem to favourite a creator without paying for a subscription; an all round a bad time in my experience.

I get that people need to make money from their craft, but webtoon and tapas do it so much better. Wish the creators I am following were available on those platforms.

### 2/5 — Just a wrapper around a web view

*2025-07-15, version 9.7*

This app just wraps a web view of the site, with no native navigation elements. I was unable to find a search bar, and navigating comics is painful. There doesn’t seem to be an easy Next/Back system, but rather some links to other comics in the series at the bottom that may or may not be populated.

As others have mentioned, requiring notifications in order to follow comics is a nonstarter (thankfully you can disable them again after following). More annoying is the unfunny comments at the bottom of every comic. They can’t be hidden, and they ruin every punchline.

Finally, it crashed after about 20 minutes of use. I bought a premium membership, but based on this experience I’ll probably read a few more comics and cancel it.

### 2/5 — Awful notification settings

*2025-07-02, version 9.7*

I would like to have the ability to only see notifications for the comics I am subscribed to but the application is sending me notifications for other comics and for kickstarter projects.

### 2/5 — Good comics, bad app

*2023-02-03, version 6.5*

I downloaded the app about 45 minutes ago and it’s crashed on me twice. Also the user interface is clunky and not intuitive.
Finally, it should be easier to scroll through previous comics

### 2/5 — Nice idea, odd implementation

*2023-01-08, version 6.3*

I like the idea of paying for comics, and in fact have subscribed to a rival comic’s subscription service for 20 years.

I wanted to branch out a little and try something new, but the app makes it way too hard to read the comics. When they named it “TinyView” I had no idea they meant it literally. I can’t read the comics since the text is too small, but that’s only when you manage to get to a comic. There’s no scrolling view of comics to view, just links to comics, which means there’s lots of tapping and scrolling just to get you to the opportunity to view a comic.

The final blow was when it forced me to turn on notifications and then spammed my phone with notifications.

In short, other than having good feelings of making a donation I can’t see any utility at all to the app. The subscriber gets nothing out of this deal.

### 2/5 — Great comics but not user friendly

*2022-10-04, version 6.0*

I like this app because there are several comics that I follow but the app itself is awful. If you find a comic that you like and want to start from the beginning you can’t do it easily. There is option to click to see the first comic but you can’t then move through them sequentially. The only way I have found is to scroll down to the list to the first and then go through them but this takes a lot longer than this sounds as it scrolls about 5 or so and then it has to load more, No good if there’s 100 episodes.
I just want to find a comic I like, go straight to the first and then scroll to the next without faffing about please.

### 2/5 — Bad app

*2022-06-19, version 5.8*

As others have said, good comics but such a confusing app I don’t even use it anymore. Didn’t even remember I’d paid for a subscription which I now regret.

Artists first!

### 5/5 — Makes me smile daily!

*2026-07-15, version 11.5*

### 5/5 — Best comic site ever!

*2026-07-06, version 11.5*

One of the only places on the internet that actually pays their artists to make comics!

### 5/5 — Access

*2026-06-30, version 11.5*

Really great having access to my favorite snarky comic.

### 5/5 — Great Comics!

*2025-12-19, version 10.4*

I love Tinyview because it’s an easy-to-access way to view all my favorite comics and they support the artists fairly! It’s well worth the donation!

### 5/5 — Support artists!

*2025-12-13, version 10.4*

It’s cool to support the artists and fun to read the comics

### 5/5 — It’s good!

*2025-10-20, version 10.1*

Some good comics. A good platform from artist to audience

### 5/5 — Joined for Fowl Language

*2025-06-03, version 9.7*

I joined for Fowl Language and when caught up will try the other comics. I’m current a bagel level support (because I’m unemployed) but will up my sponsorship level when I can to keep this great little app going.

### 5/5 — Keeps getting better

*2024-10-16, version 8.5*

A must get app for cartoonist and comic strip fans.
