## What is Tipscale?

Tipscale is a scale with two pans. Every minute you spend in a vehicle weighs down the left one. Every step you take weighs down the right. Outwalk what you rode and the day is yours. Do it most days and the week is yours too.

Nothing to log. Tipscale reads the motion history your iPhone already keeps, spots your rides on its own, and counts your steps from Apple Health or your Apple Watch. Open the app and the beam is already where it should be.

WHAT YOU GET
- Today: one scale, one number, one verdict. How many steps tip today back, how long a walk that is, and which ride your lead already covers.
- Every ride, up close: tap a ride to see what your iPhone reported around it, and what shaped its minutes.
- Week: this week's score, seven days and the forecast in one block; every earlier week and month in History.
- Coach: one move a week from your own rides: a few minutes on foot on the days you lose, and what it would have changed.
- Weekly report: every Monday, your week as a short story: time in vehicles against time on foot, the pattern it noticed, one suggestion, and a card to share.
- Weekly intention: one thing to aim for each week, a day or the whole week; the next report says how it went.
- Friend challenge: challenge a friend to seven days on the scale. Most days won takes it; if the days are even, the higher score takes it. Only your nickname, level, daily wins and one score are shared.
- Trends: eight weeks, twenty-six, or all; the hours your rides fall in; the riding you've walked off, how your behind days ended, and your form, with a card to share.
- Badges: 42 in ten series, from streaks to car-free days, each showing how far along you are.
- Your month: on the 1st, last month as three cards you can share.
- Notifications that know when to stay quiet: at most three a day, never at night. Ride ended, an evening check while the day is open, the Monday report.
- Widgets: the scale on your Home Screen, the day and its steps to tip on your Lock Screen.
- Siri and Shortcuts: ask "How's my day?", "Steps to tip" or "My week".
- Apple Watch: the scale on your wrist, complications on your face, your steps live.
- Walk it off, with Pro: when today owes steps, start a walk from Today on your iPhone, no Watch needed. It counts live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, phone in pocket, and ends when the scale tips. With an Apple Watch, start it from your wrist or from Ride ended, and a ring fills on your wrist.
- Difficulty: six levels, from Easy at 50 steps a ride minute to No Wheels at 300. The harder levels also ask more of a day without rides. New to Tipscale? It suggests a level from your last 7 days. A new level or daily limit starts the next day.
- Daily limit: cap what one day can ask of you, from 10,000 to 30,000 steps, or none. The harder levels start their limit higher. Rides beyond it still count in your ride time.
- Autopilot, free and off until you turn it on: in the evening, when today slips out of reach, it lowers today's level step by step, never your setting, so a walk still wins. Days won this way are marked.
- iCloud sync: your history follows you to a new iPhone, privately, with no account.

WHAT TIPSCALE DOES NOT DO
No account. No location. No sharing of your movement with anyone, including us. Your rides and steps stay on your devices and in your own private iCloud, which we cannot see.

THE FIRST WEEK IS FREE
Everything is open for seven days, no payment, nothing to cancel. After that, Today keeps working for free, and so does a glance at your week: its score, its seven days, and the newest weekly report's verdict. The rest is Tipscale Pro: monthly, annual, or a single lifetime purchase. Pro can be shared with your family through Family Sharing.

Tipscale needs Motion & Fitness to see your rides, and Apple Health to count your Watch steps. It works with iPhone and Apple Watch running iOS 26 and watchOS 26 or later.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.9 — 2026-10-24

Every ride, up close: tap a ride to see what your iPhone reported around it, and what shaped its minutes.
Fewer phantom rides: a running car nearby can make your iPhone think you're riding. A ride where your phone stayed at rest is now left out.
Several rides, one notification: rides that end close together arrive as one Ride ended.
Autopilot for the evening: turn it on in Settings. When today slips out of reach, it lowers today's level so a walk still wins the day.

### 1.8 — 2026-10-22

Walk it off on your iPhone, no Watch needed: with Tipscale Pro, start a walk from Today and it counts live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
A level that fits you: new to Tipscale? It suggests a level from your last 7 days.
Your rides, one tap away: tap Today's rides to see the list.
Rides, read more closely: waiting before a ride and parking after it are judged more carefully, and Ride ended arrives sooner.

### 1.7 — 2026-10-16

Six levels, Easy to No Wheels: three harder levels, Relentless, Walking Machine and No Wheels. Settings › Scoring.
A daily limit: a cap on what one day can ask. Rides beyond it still count in your ride time.
Walk it off on your wrist: a ring fills as you walk back the steps today needs, and the scale tips on your Apple Watch.
A glance at your week, free: after the trial, the Week tab keeps your score, your seven days and the newest report's verdict.

### 1.6 — 2026-10-13

Coach: one move a week, worked out from your own rides. It looks at when you ride and which days you lose, then suggests a few minutes on foot where they count. Coach needs about five days of rides before its first advice.
A calmer Week: score, seven days and forecast in one block. Earlier weeks and months have their own History screen.
Settings in order: six clear groups, and app icons on their own screen.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-12

Five new scales: brass, enamel, a watch hand, silk thread and ice. Pick yours in Settings › Appearance › Scales.
Badges, on their own screen: every series on a shelf, what comes next, and what each badge unlocks.
The Winter Walk-off: from 1 December, win 20 days to earn the Frost scale. Open to everyone.
Your history in iCloud: a new iPhone picks up where you left off. No account, and we can't see it.
