He is the man who helps rose when she falls down and he is also the man who swigs the whiskey near the end of the sinking. He is also in deleted scenes! I was sucked into the stories within moments and felt the roller coaster of emotions experienced by the characters. I thought I knew the story of the Titanic but listening to this really bought it alive for me. The climax is so well acted I really felt the passengers fear. I paid for it and it is nothing. Stay away. ### 1/5 — A mixed bag. Good narration spoilt by some dreadful acting and technical frailties. *2013-03-16* From the existing reviews, I was expecting much more. Perhaps because I come from a media background, I set my standards higher than other reviewers. But it fell way below the level of professionalism I expected. By far my biggest criticism is the standard of the acting. It is often wooden with some of the most dreadful attempts at accents I have ever heard. The Scottish one is, frankly, diabolical. If you know nothing about the Titanic Story, you'd probably find it just about ok, but for someone like me who was fascinated in the ship long before it became quite so famous, it falls way below the level I would have liked. Apart from that, it appears upside down on my iPad and it seems almost impossible to contact the developers to tell them that. I note that some of the reviewers have raved about the music. i find that odd. almost all of it is buried by dialogue. Apart from it being upside down on my iPad, it freezes on there all the time. The only way I have heard it is on my iPod touch. I absolutely love the Titanic and love reading and watching stuff about Titanic. This app has a great story!! The problem is, when I tap on intro, the only thing I get is a black screen with music. The description said its a video and I would love to watch it but I get a black screen. It is quite SUPERB , far and away the very best l've heard , and not surprising having learnt that these two wonderful people have put well in excess of 2 years work into this app , it has be one a fitting tribute not only to the Titanic herself but of all those poor souls lost on her . I cannot recommend this app highly enough , so many amazing actors in this and the original music score is just sublime . This app is worth considerably more than 1.49 , it's the price of a bag of sweets in the supermarket for goodness sake ! Trust me ! If you like anything Titanic you will absolutely adore this app, you can download act 1 for free to listen to so you really have no excuse , like me l'm sure you will upgrade to the full version , it's got nothing less than quality written all the way through it . I cannot wait to see what James and Sue come up with next .
