First says my email not valid. When I retype it get weird long illegible screen 3 characters wide. Also the fast forward band is too wide and blocks the sports score bug. It used to disappear after a few seconds. Now it never does I used to love TiVo. Now I probably won’t get another one. It seems like they don’t care about their product any more, so why should I. ### 1/5 — iPhone version works but NOT the iPad version *2025-12-18, version 4.9.204* I can logon using the iPhone version and stream my shows. But using the exact same credentials on the iPad version always seems to fail! It always takes me back after trying to the reset password screen or something like that because the screen seems all screwed up. ### 2/5 — TiVo app not working but TiVo Premiere works fine *2025-12-17, version 4.9.204* My TiVo Premiere works fine but for the last few months I can no longer connect to the TiVo app ever since they forced us to change our password. I really miss using the app! I’ve contacted my cable company and they show my Tivo machines on my account but the Tivo says that I don’t have authorized boxes. Weird! Wish I could get it fixed. No problems here with my connectivity or internet either. ### 1/5 — Why even offer this app? *2025-12-14, version 4.9.204* It used to be great. But you can’t log in anymore. It should be pulled from distribution. The experience trying to log in is broken, but not in the sense they tell you anything. You get an impossible change password UI that lists requirements that it still rejects. Those requirements are 8 characters max and only alphanumerics—which would be the weakest password I’ve used in over 20 years. Probably for the best it doesn’t work. ### 2/5 — Not working correctly *2025-12-13, version 4.9.204* When I use the app now on the screen and there’s no way to see a guide. In fact it’s messed up in can’t be tapped on or done anything does this need an upgrade or a bug fixed because I haven’t been able to get it working and over a month. ### 1/5 — Downgrade and UpGreed 2025 *2025-11-17, version 4.9.204* The app is terrible but the software that runs the Tivo unit is equally buggy and nonsensically designed. And they want to sell new models when every new model and software update is worse than the last. Everyday is a struggle to use a Tivo box. It consistently does the opposite of what you want and common sense would expect. The app, web and TiVo unit interfaces have no connection to each other other than theoretical. When Apple introduces a new AppleTV they didn't destroy the functionality of the old models. But TiVo destroys the app and the ability to network old and new devices, for no reason other than to sell more new products. Problem is that is called theft. ### 1/5 — Tivo has abandoned you *2025-11-13, version 4.9.204* Whoever controls Tivo is actively trying to destroy their reputation and has completely and intentionally turned its back on its loyal customers. Like other complaints the app can no longer login despite multiple password resets. After reinstalling the app as their troubleshooting guide suggests the same problem persists. Moreover, the app (apparently) has no option to enable it for wifi, only cellular data. It’s a conspiracy to force users to another platform. I swear…it’s like Tivo’s competitors gained a controlling interest in the company to subvert and destroy it from within. ### 1/5 — Useless garbage *2025-10-27, version 4.9.204* TiVo used to be a paragon of quality but is now no more than a patent troll. App hasn’t worked in weeks. I have a Premiere Q series 4 and it was working great with the app until a couple of weeks ago (Sept 2025). Now I get an error message that says there are no compatible boxes in my account when I log into the TiVo app.. My cable provider says the TiVo box is in my account and the TiVo box itself is working fine. They said it's a fix that TiVo needs to make with the app. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling and keep getting the same incompatible box message. Done all the trouble shooting mentioned on your site. Login with working credentials, goes to forgot password screen? Reset password because it wants me too, login using temporary password which brings you to forgot password screen again. Seriously, my passwords are saved, and it always—always makes a temporary password. I just removed the app from my phone to avoid the frustration altogether. Tivo has gone downhill so far. I’m done with it. You have to learn how to use it and set your recordings, blah blah blah, after that you will love it! The price of Lifetime service to save 16 minutes for every hour long episode, so you can watch more of what you want to watch without commercials. My time is priceless! WiFi allows me to see what’s on and when, set a one pass if i wish, watch what’s on my play list no natter where I am.
