## What is Tivsy?

Tivsy plays what you already have.

Point it at your own M3U playlist, Xtream Codes panel or media server — Jellyfin, Emby, Plex — and Tivsy turns it into something worth using: posters and plots, a programme guide sorted by time, and every film picked up exactly where you left it.

Tivsy includes no channels, no playlists and no content of any kind. It ships empty, has no directory to search, and connects nowhere until you add an address of your own.

WHAT IT DOES WELL
• Two playback engines, one silent handover. Many providers serve streams Apple's player cannot open; Tivsy moves to its own engine without a word and remembers which one worked.
• A guide, not a channel list — sorted by time, because "what's on now" is the question a guide is for.
• Resume that resumes: to the second, on the shelf you expect, with finished and half-watched telling themselves apart.
• Built for iPad rather than stretched to it: bigger artwork, two-column film pages, Split View and Slide Over.
• Two subscriptions stay apart instead of merging into one list with everything twice.
• Your provider's connection limit is respected. No speculative second stream, because that is how accounts get banned.

PRIVACY
No account, no server, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier. Source addresses and your library stay on the device; credentials go to the iOS keychain and nowhere else.

PREMIUM
The player is free and complete. Premium removes advertising — which never appears over playback either way — and adds unlimited playlists and programme reminders.

Subscription terms
Tivsy Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the app before you buy and is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Catch-up. When your provider keeps an archive, tap a programme that has already finished in the guide and watch it from the start. Providers without one are unchanged.

Downloads. Keep films and episodes on the device and watch them with no connection at all.

Your own groups. Press and hold any channel to file it under a shelf you made, and it appears on the home screen in the order you choose.

iCloud. Favourites, groups and where you got to now follow you between iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Sleep timer, subtitle size and backdrop, radio stations in their own tab, what is on now shown on the home screen, and a warning three days before a subscription expires.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-08-31

Jellyfin and Emby support. Enter your server address and account, and your films and series open straight in Tivsy — with the same subtitle and audio-track controls as everything else.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-08-26

The Media Server option now talks to a media server.

It had offered Jellyfin, Emby, Plex and SMB since the first release and was running the Xtream Codes panel protocol underneath — which none of them speak, so anyone who tried it typed a hostname and a password and got an error. Jellyfin and Emby are now properly supported: sign in with your server address and account, and your films and episodes arrive with artwork, plots and season numbering, ready to browse, search and resume like anything else.

Plex and SMB no longer appear, because they are not supported. Claiming them was the mistake being corrected, not one to repeat.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-16

Choose which feed a channel opens with.

Providers send the same channel several times — 4K, FHD, a couple of backup servers — and Tivsy has always folded them into one row. Now you can open that row: pick the feed you want, and see which ones have actually played before, which failed last time, and how fast each one ran. The one you pick is tried first and the rest stay behind it, so choosing the 4K stream cannot leave you with a dead channel.

On live television, the arrows for previous and next channel are now visible. The swipe always worked; nothing on screen ever said so.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-15

Channels your provider lists more than once now arrive as one.

A list often carries the same channel several times — HD, FHD, a backup server — and Tivsy already folded those together. It missed the case where the provider tagged some lines with a country and not others, so one channel could still appear twice, and the untagged line's address never joined the other's list of backups. Both are fixed, so there is one row and one more feed to fall back on.
