## What is Tiwesdaeg?

Tīwesdæg makes an oscillator out of sound itself.

Two decks hold two pieces of audio. Each one is read through a moving window and played as an oscillator — not as a sample triggered and released, but as a waveform cycling continuously, the way a table-based oscillator reads a table. Move the window and the timbre moves with it.

The two oscillators modulate each other. Each one's output bends the other's reading speed, window width and depth, so the pair settles into patterns that neither would make alone. Sixteen faders control how deep each connection runs.

Load a file you already have, or record straight in from the microphone — a voice, a room, a radio. Whatever you record becomes the waveform within a second. The camera can take a single still photograph, which becomes the background and is read across as a row of control voltages.

Eight presets down the side store the whole instrument, each keeping its own copy of the material, so re-recording later never disturbs what you saved.

If you connect an audio interface, the AUDIO panel lets you choose its input and output.

Landscape only. Everything happens on the device: no accounts, no network, no analytics. Recordings and photographs stay in the app and are never uploaded, shared or saved to your library.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-29

The core has been rebuilt. The two oscillators now shake each other, so the
instrument moves on its own from the first note. Loading a file switches the
knobs from oscillator duties to material duties in place.

・PAD rebuilt: a wavetable is drawn from the loaded sound and played through
four XY fields (position × bend, drift × spread, cutoff × resonance,
attack × decay). Chords can be added.
・FEED reaches further; BYP now actually bypasses.
・Quiet material triggers reliably; low-mid buzz removed.
・A full visual rebuild: flat grey ground, translucent panels, panel names,
grey caps with a white marker, orange meter.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-25

Small fixes and refinements.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-24

No release notes.
