And it still crashes when opening the app from an banner notification which requires restarting of the app to unstuck. ### 2/5 — Incompatible features *2022-08-29, version 2.2.1* The app needs some work. Things like the ability to upload a photo of your child under their respective profile, is not possible because it’s missing the behavior to allow an upload when you tap the default profile photo. This app would benefit from some thorough testing to improve simple features for the user. ### 2/5 — Please fix notification loading *2022-08-29, version 2.2.1* Notifications are usually late and come all at once at times. It makes it look like nothing has been uploaded for some time and then the pictures appear. I have to manually go in to refresh and see if there are any updates on my sons day. Few suggestions for improvement 1. Enable communication between parent and teacher via the app. I would love to leave notes for the teacher before the day/week starts and would love get notes from the teacher 2. Let parents tell the teacher if the kid already ate in the morning or went potty/time of last diaper change 3. Would love to see some videos too. The photos are slow to load. ### 2/5 — Frequent errors, slow load times *2021-12-21, version 2.1.14* I often get error messages That the data will “not load”, even after closing and reopening the app, and making sure I am on the latest version. It is also extremely slow to tap a picture to expand it, and after you tap a picture to open it, it has to reload before you can tap the next one. ### 1/5 — Would give -0 stars if I could *2021-10-13, version 2.1.14* Horrible app and there’s no excuse. The first daycare my child went to had an app with an entire remote video system that worked perfectly. The date never updates correctly on the attendance feature and I literally never get notifications even after deleting and reinstalling. Just fix it! It can’t be that hard?! ### 1/5 — Terrible functionality *2021-10-06, version 2.1.14* Every one of this app’s available features is non-intuitive. Response is slow. Things are missing that you’re used to seeing in standard apps, for example, swiping between pictures in the gallery. Any time there’s a notification and you swipe, the app opens and crashes. Half the time I’m in there, the app crashes. Very buggy ### 1/5 — No daily details at all! *2021-08-14, version 2.0.13* We used to go to a daycare that used tadpoles, and I thought that was the best app ever; the teachers could customize the messages, caption the photos, give us a daily report, show us the goals for each activity that they were performing. This learning experience app is garbage. I do not get a daily report. When my son is shown eating, it’s only captioned with the food the school has provided for the day and not what we’ve actually sent him with bc it only has pre-filled selections for the teachers to choose from. I am leaving TLE specifically bc of this horrible app. ### 1/5 — Needs significant improvements *2021-07-23, version 2.0.13* I used to get all the notifications I activated in the settings section, but after an update I get nothing. I’ve checked, unchecked, and rechecked notifications and I still get nothing. When I go into the app to manually look for messages and photos, it takes forever for anything to load and the photo library is infuriating. Half the pictures don’t load and the save button freezes and won’t do anything a lot of the time. Beyond frustrating considering the amount of money I’ve paid TLE for my two kids over the years. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2021-07-09, version 2.0.12* I was optimistic about the new app and excited that any bugs would be fixed but no matter how many times i delete the app and download again my sons photo updates never work. I would love it if this was fixed because it’s important to me to see how my son is doing throughout the day. The updates in the new app work even less than the old. Hopefully this can be fixed soon! ### 1/5 — Don’t get notifications anymore don’t get anything - horrible *2021-07-01, version 2.0.12* So ever since they updated the app to this new one I get zero notifications- I don’t even see when my child needs supplies ! I don’t understand why with the prior app I got every notification for every photo and activity and need now I get none. Super disappointed especially as a busy mother of two who definitely isn’t actively checking the app every few hours or period as I rely on the notifications ### 2/5 — How do I get help? *2021-07-01, version 2.0.12* The app is pretty hard to load sometimes and I cannot see what my child actually ate or didn’t because sometimes it gets cut off. I wish I could click on the activity to fully view. But my main issue is that I cannot see my second child. I see her information in my profile and I receive the push notifications but I cannot see her activities anywhere in the app. The daycare director is unsure why I am having this problem. I contacted the help department in the app but no one has responded. I have used two other apps with two different daycares before, this app is the least user friendly and I cannot find help. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2021-06-02, version 2.0.12* App crashes consistently. I get no push notifications even though I have them enabled. This is no upgrade from the previous version and is, without a doubt, a massive downgrade. For something that was supposed to be “new” and “improved” appears as if a first time application developer is behind this. Fix the app. For the amount of $$ paid for childcare, I would think a successful application developer can be found to fix the enormous amount of issues. ### 1/5 — Terrible app and support *2021-05-26, version 2.0.12* This app rarely works correctly. I’m not sure if it’s the teachers not updating or updates not coming through. I had no issues with the old version of the app. Now, we have issues at least 2-3 times a week with updates. For the money we pay to send our son to TLE as an infant, I would think that the technology and parent communication would be more streamlined. Also, I have put 5 messages into tech regarding push notifications and haven’t gotten any response! ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2021-05-24, version 2.0.12* Nothing works on the new app. I used to get photos and updates all day long of my little one and now I either don’t get any or they all come through at once and it’s only when I open the app. Push notifications don’t work. We pay a lot of money for our child to go here and I don’t think it’s too much to ask to know that he’s napping and eating and happy but this app rarely gives me any comfort that any of that is happening. I felt much more comfortable with the old app. Clearly there was absolutely no testing done before launching this app and it’s very discouraging. ### 2/5 — Still Has Bugs *2021-04-30, version 2.0.11* The app still has bugs that need fixing, which is unfortunate because if it worked properly I’m sure it’d be AWESOME! It takes awhile to load, pictures are the worst at this. Sometimes pictures don’t load at all, and the gallery never loads, which was a feature I was really looking forward to. When I try to submit an absence notice I can’t change the date so always have to put it in the comments and half the time the reason for absence doesn’t load. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but that didn’t work. PLEASE fix these bugs! No working push notifications. App doesn’t consistently load. Support page doesn’t even work. I have sent 2 messages for help, my husband has sent a message, and so the the school. Why is there no chime notification? I’d love for that to be added. Also, I feel like photos don’t load in a timely manner and often out of sequence or missing entirely! I’d love to see a revision come out to fix these bugs. ### 1/5 — Constantly unavailable *2022-07-12, version 2.2.0* In the 10 days that my child has been enrolled at TLE the app has only worked about twice. I get notifications but then when I click on it, the app doesn’t work. It’s says under development and shows no information. This is so frustrating! ### 1/5 — We Pay Too Much For Such a Terrible App *2022-07-08, version 2.2.0* I wish I could give zero stars. For the amount of tuition we pay, we need to be much better informed than what this app allows for. I have no idea what my child learns or does all day and have no way of communicating about his day with teachers. The chat feature isn’t even available. Very disappointed in this app for my childcare needs. ### 1/5 — Unreliable Communication & Notifications Unavailable *2022-02-04, version 2.1.14* I used to get notifications, but after the latest update they no longer appear. I’ve ensured my device is set to receive them, checked the app to make certain I’ve asked for push notifications, and still nothing. We also are unable to get any info on both kids. Our youngest will not appear in the app or allow us to toggle to his info. While his name and teacher info appears in My Profile under My Children, there’s no way to get notifications, pictures, or information on him. App has potential to be great, but too many issues keep it from being helpful/useful to us or the center if they’re still having to call, email, provide verbal feedback simply due to the apps basic communication failures. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2021-11-22, version 2.1.14* We recently put our first baby in day care at 11 months and one of the big sellers for TLE was the app to communicate and see pictures and updates of baby throughout the day to relieve our worries. This app NEVER works. Literally never. I get a notification but they are very delayed and I can’t see any pictures that are sent. For the money you spend on the school you should be able to access the app anytime. ### 1/5 — Not effective for communication *2021-10-22, version 2.1.14* The app doesn’t send alerts properly. Sounds like it is cumbersome for the employees to use as well. What’s more frustrating is the center still decides this is the best way to communicate to the parents. Well we have now not received some announcements, missed other special days and now missed the picture day reminder because while the announcement was in fact there in the app, the notification alert never happened. I can see pictures, put his attendance way before for like any vacation. The only down side is the app since I got the iPhone 14 Pro is not notifying me any update on my baby. I have to log in and actually see what they are doing. ### 5/5 — Love the idea *2022-08-30, version 2.2.1* Love the app, it’s a great way to see how the kids are doing all day. I wish there was a way to leave messages or communicate directly to their teacher. Maybe add a picture of the teacher along with it. As for pictures of the kids, if I scroll through them, open a picture then hit the back button, it brings you back to the beginning, I wish I could just go right back to where I left off scrolling. Also would be awesome to have an area to talk to the other parents, get to know them and chat, so we can maybe set up play dates, talk about snacks or meal preps, even ask for help with hair styles or tantrums. Access issues were finally solved and the app is definitely a big upgrade functionally and performance wise. I’m sure most of the bad reviews are due to the launch because we are now thrilled with the app. ### 4/5 — Needs a Message feature *2019-10-30, version 2.0.8* My son has been in daycare now for almost 2 months, and although I’m enjoying the pictures that are sent to me, I definitely think a ‘Messages’ feature should be added so parents can communicate directly with the teachers. For example, my son’s teacher was able to select an option in the app that says ‘Supplies Needed,’ but that’s it. Exactly what supplies does my son need? Maybe add a list of common items or something! ### 3/5 — Needs improvement *2019-10-08, version 2.0.8* I like that we get updates throughout the day, and not just at the end of the day. I wish there was a way to write a note to the teachers if there are specific instructions you need to give. I also wish there was a way to input the time of the last bottle, diaper, wake up, etc for the parents. ### 3/5 — Needs more features as well as improvement on existing ones *2019-06-09, version 2.0.8* The app is very basic. Add more messaging features and interactive messaging (check out Brightwheel app for some ideas). Parents should be able to communicate directly with teacher or facility director thru the app. Pictures need to have a comment feature. Can’t upload profile pictures of parents or kids. This is important so staff who uses the app recognizes the parents. You should grow the app the same way your franchise is growing ### 3/5 — Needs work *2018-03-02, version 2.0.8* I like the app and as an employee and parent I feel some things should be fixed. I wish that teachers can comment on pictures they post so parents know exactly what is happening. “Sally is using her fine motor skills to color the horse blue” “bob created a tower using the wood blocks by himself” I feel that parents will have a better understanding of what is going on throughout the day and not just get another picture of “Sally” painting AGAIN. Also there is no option to let parents know they are low on diapering items, what to bring for learning bag, supplies they may need or special item to bring in for an event/craft. Parents do not always pick up children and the message gets lost in between caretaker and parents etc. ### 3/5 — Choose the notifications i want *2017-03-28, version 1.3.36* I like the idea of having an app VS old style paper. However, there are some stuff need to be fixed. I'm getting about 10+ notifications per day for my son activity. Thats ok. But, i havent recived a single notification about low supplies in diapers. The suggestion from me is to let me choose what notifications i want to receive. I want notifications if he had an accident, or new statment has been posted or the daycare need supplies. I personally don't need to know when he ate and when he drink. Sure it's nice to know but it's too much notifications.
