Trolmaster has become subpar for this game ### 3/5 — Improvement over old app *2026-04-13, version 1.5.6* I had the previous TrolMaster app. It was pretty poor, this one is a lot prettier, and all works fine. I did have an issue adding my controller, but with help from support, that’s all good. Support is prompt and no AI bot screening before reaching a human. Seems a simple fix but yet it endures. It’s slow to refresh and is just not that user friendly. Also, I understand the aqua x Plus is new to the market but there is almost no info available online for this unit Overall, I am happy with the unit and the crop steering function but I feel there is definitely room for improvement with certain aspects Looking forward to more updates and improvements on the system and app ### 1/5 — App needs work *2023-07-07, version 1.3.2* Just recently purchased (2) trolmaster hydro X pro units. Installed one unit to give it a go (test it out) the HCS-2 is a good addition to the garden, but as for the mobile app (it’s trash) Can’t control none of the devices, it doesn’t give out the exact readings (real time) and it crashes often. What’s the purpose of having the trolmaster app only to look at (sometimes) delayed readings that you have no control over? Trolmaster team please, please, please, design the app to truly compliment the impeccable controllers y'all are producing. ### 1/5 — Why this thing not refresh? *2023-05-22, version 1.3.2* Maaannnnn….what bogus. Thing doesn’t even refresh unless I go back and select the controller again. Weak ### 1/5 — App gets worse with each update *2023-04-27* If by “bug fixes and performance improvements” you mean completely taking away the ability to control devices from within the app, then yeah great update. For how much your controllers and sensors cost, one would think you’d have the resources and motivation to make an app that actually does something. Why would I even want to know if my environment is not within parameters if I can’t do anything about it? Using a mobile web browser to make adjustments to environment graphs is as far from user friendly as it gets. The time stamps aren’t in chronological order. It’ll skip from AM to PM randomly as well. I haven’t logged into the app for a few months and now it won’t even show devices even though I entered them several times and deleted and redownloaded it all. This whole system is terrible. I’m removing everything and switching brands. Everything is great when new but if you’re serious this isn’t the system. Everything has bugs, system doesn’t work well and needs contestant calibrations. The App isn’t even an app anymore and u can’t even view most of your info when u actually need it. The app is required to control the different controllers that you choose to set up your room. Set your ac's adjust all of your equipment Get alerts when your temps or co2 are out of the range that you set. Absolutely a game changer. The customer service is great also. They're so helpful and fast to return my calls. Thank you! ### 5/5 — I love it *2023-09-04, version 1.3.5* Being able to remotely view all the parameters and visually inspect the grow room from your phone is a game-changer. The notifications and offline alerts can be a little annoying, but they can also save your butt. The only thing I wish is that the AVG parameters would update a little quicker. TrolMaster + Vital Garden + H&G makes the babies go boom. ### 5/5 — Best controller for tent grows *2023-08-21, version 1.3.3* After I finally spent the money on the tent-x system it has made a phenomenal difference in how my environment is controlled. Since it knows the humidity, temperature and co2 it can balance the environment so much more efficiently than when I had multiple different systems trying to work against each other to reach my set values.
