## What is Toast for Safari?

You quite certainly have many tabs open or pinned that are very useful, but not needed right now. They don’t deserve to be bookmarked, although, are too important to be lost in a browser’s reading list. Toast is a place to save them.

Toast helps you control open tabs by saving & closing the ones that aren’t needed at this exact moment, so you can be more efficient working on one thing at a time.

There are many ways people use Toast, below are a few. If any resonates with you, go ahead and try it. It’s free and takes only 2 minutes to set up.

I installed Toast but after creating one folder the app blocks me from continuing by covering the toast interface with a large advertisement for the PRO version.  Even after subscribing to PRO, the window won’t go away….. Unusable

Tricked me into paying for an annual subscription. Haven't heard back. Others have reported spam emails and social media login attempts after getting the extension. Stay safe and stay away. Get OneTab or anything else but don't get this.

This app is absolutely life changing.  I accumulate so many tabs while doing research that my browser eventually becomes unusable. I don't want to close the tabs for fear of losing what I found, but I don't have time to archive everything somewhere else, where I'll just end up with the same kind of clutter. I have been searching for a solution to efficiently capture my browser tab information that plays well with Safari and other MacOS browsers without success.  Toast is the answer to my needs!

Congrats to the developers.  Please continue supporting this!!!

Suggestion to developers: Please consider adding the ability to organize sessions into "folders" or create a "timeline" heirarchy.  For me, I create a session that captures all of my research for the day. If these could be gathered into subfloders of daily, weekly, monthly, etc. sessions, it would be absolutely perfect.

I installed this app, and its permissions required seeing everything on a page, including secure information. I did not register, and I uninstalled the app. Within ~15 min afterwards,I began to receive notifications that someone was trying to login to my social media accounts. Beware.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for downloading Toast. We are sorry that someone tried accessing your account. It’s always sad and scary to get such notification. I assure you, Toast has nothing to do with this.

The product is over 2 years on the market. Our extensions are distributed only via official browser extension stores to provide the highest safety for our users. Every new update is diligently checked by specialists at Apple, Google, Microsoft, Firefox, and Opera.

The permission mentioned is a technical requirement for Toast. Unfortunately, there is no way to get tab information such as title, favicon, and URL without that permission. And there is no shorter/smaller permission that would allow us to get around it. Even though Toast has permission, it never reads anything from the page content, nor reads or stores your browsing history. Toast does not send or receive data in the background, and, overall, without your consent/action.

It’s very disappointing for us to see, that because of the unfortunate coincidence, Toast gets very bad feedback.

Love this extension. Now I don't have to keep 5 windows and 300 tabs open anymore and my laptop sounding like a drone trying to take off.

Works in all my browsers so I can open any saved session cross browser. Doesn't get any better than that.

Toast annoys me, because with a few little tweaks it would be the *perfect* tab manager across platforms, but right now, it just isn't. It really needs the option to save the tabs of all open windows, not just the one you are currently on, and the option to group those together and relaunch them in the same number of windows as before, or to launch each individual window seperately. As someone who regularly has hundreds of tabs open across different windows, Toast just isn't working for me rn

From the moment i created an account, i started receiving spam!!!!

UPDATE: the plugin developers replied quickly to help me solve this. Doesn't seem to stem from their end but they steered me in the right direction on how to handle this problem with Apple.

Currently still using this extension as it is super useful and well desinged! Kuddos!
