Takes me out of the nice tranquil feeling of the Home Screen to a g boring white page when I want to add a task so adding new tasks removed the pleasant feeling I had looking at the Home screen. So I’m writing to see if this can be addressed for a better user experience. Restore original plant on “window sill” at bottom of screen. I miss that. Or let us choose that as a preference. Also, be nice to be able to customize the “what do you want to accomplish today” prompt when adding tasks too. I believe these additions would keep the zen-like atmosphere and create a more personal experience. Lastly, the iCloud sync is not working between two iPhones on same Apple account. Background refresh is on. Generally just glad that new life is being breathed into this charming unique app, that I once thought was abandoned. ### 4/5 — Major update last night broke my app *2024-11-08, version 2.0.2* Update - 5 days later it magically fixed itself so I have changed my rating. But I’ve lost the ability to re order and move things around. Not a huge fan of the update but still really like the app better than any others. — I have sent an email to support and I hope they get back to me soon! Feeling lost and a bit panicky without my todo list. Have loved this app for years and years, mainly due to the simplicity and beautiful design. Other apps add too many features and make it complicated. ### 3/5 — SORRY TO SEE COLOURED SECTIONS GONE FROM THE UPDATED VERSION *2024-11-06, version 2.0.2* I’ve used this ‘to do’ list for years & I’ve loved it but I’m sorry to say that I’m disappointed in the new version (Nov 2024) because the option to colour the background of the whole note either red/gold or yellow (depending on priority) has been taken away & instead you just get a coloured dot. Sadly that makes it a down grade for me :( ### 4/5 — Love it, but *2018-10-19* I love this app, but with there not being an updates in a year I’m curious if they’re no longer updating it? There are a couple occasional bugs (since newest update) like when moving items between lists and changing an items list from the window shade, and no longer able to manually sort lists (well it allows it, but doesn't update display in the main screen UI). Feature requests: • I'd love to see some kind of cloud sync between devices. • An iPad and Mac version would be outstanding. But just glad to have it on my phone, if nothing else. Thank you for keeping this app alive, and for all the little details that make Today Todo a refreshing change in the overly left brain focused task managers. Today Todo cares about how you feel when you use the app, with its dreamy views and unique and clever functionality, which to me puts it into a league of its own. Thank you. Thank you. ### 5/5 — I love this app. *2017-01-28* I searched high and low for an app that would allow me to have a simple to do list. I wanted one where I could just put the task in, move it around if needed, repeat it, and check it off when I was done. Many were complicated and didn't fit the bill. This one is perfect. It's so simple to use and I love checking off all my things every day. My phone started to tell me that the app needed an update. I was worried that I was going to lose my to do list. BUT...here is the update!! Yay! Thank you so much. Love the little flower pot too. ### 2/5 — It keeps crashing *2015-03-05, version 1.7.1* I only bought this app today. I had just finished setting it up when it crashed. I have tried everything including reloading. Turning off my iPhone and restarting. Nothing will make it work. I have checked out all the other to do apps and this has the best features. I want it. Fairly crap app. Don't pay developers to lay in bed. ### 5/5 — My Most Useful App *2015-01-25, version 1.7.1* Today Todo Pro is the most useful and most used app I have. I tried many other todo list apps before settling on Today Todo Pro but now I've found the perfect Todo for me. The beauty of this app is the simplicity of it's "just enough" design. Normally I like features, features, features, but with a todo app they got in the way of the essential task of keeping straight all the things I need to get done. Today Todo Pro has a minimalsist interface and a carefully considered feature set that is, for me, a perfect fit. Besides that it's also a good-looking, stable, and fun-to-use. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Love it *2014-12-04, version 1.7.1* I love this app. it is very basic, but does exactly what I want it to. i have downloaded and deleted probably about 20 to do task apps. most of them are to hard to navigate. i need something that i can quickly open, quickly add to, and quickly edit and this fits the bill perfectly. if it could be opened and edited on the pc - it would be a dream come true, but until then i am very happy with it as is ### 5/5 — Update 2.0? *2014-10-20, version 1.7.1* I've been using this app for years, although now it looks a bit out of fashion but still my favorite and primary GTD app. I like its familiar feeling, since iOS 5 to today iOS 8, the UI didn't change at all. But on the other hand it's sad. It hasn't updated for more than one year. Luckily it didn't suffer any crash after update to iOS 8. To be frank I'm not sure if there is still a developer working on this app. If so, I hope, May I please suggest two points? First it would be much more convenient if this app can have a widget in Today view. I used to use this app daily, now I’m shopping for another. ### 1/5 — Please Restore Previous Version *2024-11-08* I’ve used this app for 10 years and it’s been clean, sleek, and organized. I open this after the most recent update and it’s a visual nightmare of poor design. The illustrations look like cheap clip art, and the functionality has become a cluttered mess. I don’t need to see “Default List” listed in the actual list over and over. Please restore the previous version. There was no need to change something that was already perfect. ### 1/5 — What the heck???? *2024-11-03* Friday I could open my app that contained over 200 notes and reminders. Saturday I couldn’t. Please at least let me get my notes out!!!! ### 1/5 — Update: UGLIFIED A ONCE GORGEOUS APP *2017-02-10, version 1.7.1* This used to be a gorgeous app. Someone has come along and ruined the design. It was so beautiful and unique, and now looks so cheapy and dumb. So mad I paid for this a while ago! I refuse to update to this horrible design. What happened? Was the app bought by someone? Whoever did this should be ashamed of themself! ------ Old review: Beautiful and simple I wanted a simple and beautiful todo list. This is the best one out there. I know- went through the entire list! If you want beauty and simplicity, this is for you! I look forward to opening this gorgeous app, which makes it easier to stay on top of my list! I see people are requesting all these random features and downrating the app saying "it would be perfect if X were added". Well think- if all this stuff gets added, it will no longer be a simple app, which is why this is so genius. i love being able to quickly and easily use it, as you can now. There are enough options for managing and scheduling todos to make it useful but not so many it is overwhelming. If the random features must be added, i suggest a Deluxe version for those who are looking for a kitchen sink app. Leave this one simple! ### 1/5 — Used to love but needs updates. *2015-08-30, version 1.7.1* This was the best to do app out there. Simple, yet well thought out and effective. Why hasn't the app been updated since 2013 though?!?!?! It does not work well with the latest iOS updates. What a mess now! So disappointed because it truly was the best. ### 1/5 — Good luck figuring it out *2013-05-20, version 1.6.6* After an hour of trying to figure out how to use this "simple" app, I give up. I was trying to set a recurring task, for instance, and I read the help pages which explained that one should click the clock that appears between the 'save' and 'close' button. Problem was, there wasn't a clock button. My full time job involves software support but this app is beyond me. I wasted the $3. ### 1/5 — 2.0 never came. *2013-05-13, version 1.6.6* Developers abandoned this app. It's full of bugs, crashes all the time, and no update since 2012. D: i was excited for this app, but it looks like its time to find another todo app. ### 1/5 — Freezes my Iphone, lost everything *2011-07-29* I have had this app for a few months, but today one of the reminders I had set went off. It made the noise and then it happened...my iphone froze. I tried holding the sleep switch and the home button to reset the phone, but the phone couldn't boot past the apple logo. I brought the phone into the apple store and they wiped the phone entirely. They told me the problem was software, not hardware, and to try to restore a backup. I went home, tried to restore my backup, and it froze again immediately after this app was installed. I had to wipe my whole phone again. I then installed all of my other apps besides this one and it worked fine. I then tried adding this app and my iphone locked up again immediately. I then wiped my whole phone for the 3rd time and installed this app alone, and once again the phone immediately crashed and locked up. I wiped my phone for the 4th time, and installed all other apps and the phone now works fine. Since I can't install this app anymore, I lost all of my appointments and important dates...there is no way to see them. This app has completely screwed me over ### 1/5 — Crashes *2011-02-17, version 1.6.3.2* Blimming thing crashes constantly - argh! I like the free version so bought this ... wish I hadn't - grr. ### 2/5 — Want to love it, but... *2015-05-26, version 1.7.1* On a 5s it is so so buggy it is nearly unusable at times. The display gets messy frequently with squished items, blank spaces, color problems. I'm going to have to find something else to use. It is well thought out, but very, very buggy. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best planner app by far *2025-07-08* This is the best daily planner app. You can make recurring tasks and organize / create new folders then arrange the order. Allows creating tasks for today tomorrow any day of year as well as a someday section. Easy to navigate and very user friendly. Organize by priority from red urgent to orange to yellow or white. Priorities automatically sort in order of urgency or priority. I’ve tried many similar apps but this one is by the the best. Support is also helpful. ### 5/5 — Don’t Panic about the latest update! *2024-12-05, version 1.9* This app has been one of my favourites for years, even despite the glitches in the latest update. I’ve contacted the developer and have been assured that the features and functions that are currently not operating as they should will be back in action soon, along with a fully updated set of help files and a new back-up system. So far several things are already fixed or in process, so I have every confidence that my favourite app will be better than ever! With the graphics facelift this app seem like brand new. The Today app has always been one of the best To Do apps around. Its simple straight forward layout belies depths of sophistication, from the quick list selection to priority levels and deadlines for each item, but only if you wish. Keep your list running from one day to the next, or start clean and fresh each morning. Can't help but love it! In fact it’s probably the app I use most. It is so simply designed and intuitive. When this app wasn’t updated and disappeared recently I had to try other to do apps. But they are very clumsy. For me the killer feature here is so simple: the option to set a priority on a task. I also love that all of my incomplete items are automatically moved to Yesterday, then I can easily bring back things I still want to accomplish to Today.
