### 5/5 — This is the Calendar Alarm app you’re looking for

*2026-02-17, version 3.5*

Allows you to set daily alarms for calendar events. It even sets automatic alarms for repeating events like meetings and calls.

### 5/5 — No more missed meetings

*2026-01-15*

Not proud of it, but I have missed many meetings (busy researching, getting lost on the phone with a colleague, losing track of time while running errands, driving an not monitoring time etc). If you’ve found yourself in one of the situations above, this app will be a godsend for you. It creates alarms for the meetings in the day, and makes sure to get your attention. Amazing functionality, amazing value.

### 5/5 — This is the App I rely on Most

*2026-01-02, version 3.4*

I have been using this app for about a year and a half, maybe more? It’s the first true calendar to alarm app. iOS has a lot of challenges for developers or something, because i tried many of alarm apps. They didn’t work. Apple’s “ecosystem” myst be too restrictive. This works for all of my iOS calendars, though I didn’t know my corporate bosses could block access. I know i can only use apple or outlook for work emails, not other email options, but since apple mail/calendar sync is allowed, i haven’t had the problem the other reviewer mentioned. This is something i wish Apple would allow as a calendar setting, and every apple fanboy (without ADHD) will tell you there are “alerts” for that, which go in the same bucket as every other notification on your device, can easily be silenced by DND.

This app works. I don’t miss doctor’s appts anymore. I don’t miss meetings. If it’s in my calendar, my alarm goes off. I will set other alarms too like driving time, or “time to get ready”. When i started, you had to manually set alarms and that was kinda neat, unless i forgot. Now the developer automated that too. Seriously, this app is one of the best kept secrets in the app store. I hope apple doesn’t find out and block it. Seriously, i think it only works since it uses apple’s “shortcuts” which i think has more access than just an app.

This issue had me considering leaving the apple ecosystem completely (aaand i guess i may be one of those fanboys since i have an ipad pro, iphone, airpods, macbook air, macbook mini, macbook pro and have had many others for about 15 years).

But seriously, i can’t say enough good things about this app. More than worth the tiny cost for this. Highly highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Brilliant alarm app

*2025-12-18*

A simple and easy to use yet powerful app that simultaneously creates alarms for all calendar appointments.

### 5/5 — Deserves to be way more popular

*2025-11-17*

Today Planned has become one of those apps I didn’t realize I needed until I used it. I never miss meetings during the day anymore. And when my alarm goes off, it’s the perfect cue for the people I’m meeting with that it’s time to wrap up and move on. It keeps me on track without feeling pushy.

The developer is also incredibly responsive to feedback, which makes the app even better. This deserves to be way more popular than it is. If you’re someone who lives by your calendar, this is one of those can’t-live-without tools.

### 5/5 — Beware of Restricted Access to Calendars

*2025-07-18*

The app looks fantastic and I want to use it. But after installing, I was heartbroken to see that my corporate calendar is not allowed to be seen in the app, which renders the app useless (for my needs). I likely would not have purchased if this limitation was listed.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I’ve been looking for!

*2025-05-11*

The ONLY app that actually means I don’t miss meetings. I have 5 calendars across Google and MS and the standard notifications simply don’t get my attention but with Today Planned my phone alarm goes off just before each meeting! I have no idea why Google and MS don’t offer this but they don’t! Also great human customer support whenever I need it! Two thumbs up!

### 5/5 — Yes!!! Finally something that JUST WORKS.

*2025-04-24*

I love this app. Simple. Elegante and oh yeah it JUST WORKS.

It’s scans you calendar creates alarms and notifies you of meetings. Like it says it does.

Why this isn’t a built in future / app on IOS and MAC is beyond me.

Probably the most helpful app I’ve used in years.

Only thing now to add is an option to call my phone for really important meetings. That would be next level but no free.

### 5/5 — Easily my most important App

*2024-12-03*

This prevents me from missing doctor’s appointments, helps me use my calendar and not be late any more. I’ve needed an alarm for a future date since i’ve had an iPhone. It’s amazing Apple hasn’t added this functionality yet to their calendar or alarm. And still rely one “reminders…” And also disappointing that they won’t allow me to run this app automatically, but it has become a ritual part of my day every day.

**Developer response:** We've added support for that in v1.9 !
- more set alarm time options have been added: 3 and 5 minutes.
- you can now add an extra alarm for up to 30 minutes before an event!
- automations can be setup in the Shortcuts app, we recommend running it in the morning or when your Wake-Up alarm is stopped.

However as you noted, we actually recommend to try an create a habit to run Set Alarms manually in the morning as that gives you a chance to see your plans for the day!

### 5/5 — Missed meetings be gone

*2024-10-04*

It’s easy to hyperfocus on work and miss a bunch of meetings. This solves it.

### 5/5 — Never miss a meeting again!

*2024-09-19*

I’ve been using this App for a few months now, and I have yet to miss an appointment or meeting for the day. It was the best few bucks you can spend on an app and the developer is always improving it!!

### 5/5 — Muito bom mesmo

*2024-09-11*

### 5/5 — Life-changing

*2024-08-27*

As someone with ADHD, I have wanted an app like this for years. I have been using this app for maybe almost a year now? And I don’t miss meetings anymore. I dabbled in iOS automate to have my morning alarm speak a verbal reminder to me when I hit stop (not snooze) that tells me to set my daily alarms. I would love if this is something that could happen automatically, but pushing that button also helps me remember to participate in the daily process and make this tool a habit. it’s been very successful for me and incredibly helpful. Dentist appointments, haircuts, things a month or two out, i arrive.

Things I would like added to the app include being able to set the duration of the alarm before the event to be a greater increment than two minutes, but I have found workaround for that creating specific events with my “alarm code” after the event. (I use QZ). This is easily one of my most used apps and my most appreciated.

**Developer response:** We've added support for that in v1.9 !

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2024-07-15*

I was looking for such an app a long ago. Thanks for doing what you doing. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — I can’t live without it !!

*2024-07-09*

Great app, totally recommended. 5 stars!

### 5/5 — ADHD lifesaver

*2024-06-01*

I miss calls and leave people waiting alone for 15 minutes while I’m hyperfocussing on something. I’ve tried to find an app that absolutely hounds me until I acknowledge a calendar event, but all of them simply buzz a notification which is HOPELESS when in focus mode or silent. This app is a lifesaver. It’s well designed, intuitive, and has just enough settings to customise it to your needs without being overwhelming. I love the countdown feature so I’m always aware of what is coming next, right from the live view. And it’s free?! I’d pay a few quid for sure. Thanks to the developer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — future alarm without needing events?

*2025-04-15*

is there anyway we could just get a simple option to create an alarm for a future date without having to create an event for it? I don’t really use the Calendar app and at least for me opening it up confuses me so I’d really just want a simple way of creating an alarm that will go off at a future date whenever I tell it to, and when it goes off, it just keeps going off until I shut it off just like a real alarm so that I don’t miss important events and appointments :) reminders get buried easily in my notifications in the truth is, I almost never see my notifications… But I always hear my alarms :D

(this app is otherwise perfect)

**Developer response:** There are a couple options the app provide:
1. you can just create an event in Today Planned itself and that will automatically be alarm-able.
2. you can use Siri or Shortcuts to create a Remind Me in Today Planned and that will also be automatically alarm-able.

(eg. you can say: “Siri Today Planned remind me”, and follow the prompts from there)

**Developer response:** レビューありがとうございます。

週の開始曜日はすでにサポートされています。Today Planned は iPhone のシステム設定に従います。

### 4/5 — Thanks, but please expand use case features

*2024-07-18*

I NEED the following two features for my use case:
- Alarms set more than 1 or 2 minutes away from event. Most of life is not a meeting down the hall or on a call
- This baby needs to be running ALWAYS to be the effective “missing link” everyone is looking for. By using the keyword filter feature, this would allow me to just put the word “alarm” in my event notes, then the app runs (perhaps nightly) in the background, always looking for those filters and automatically alarm setting for them.

**Developer response:** Hey there! We've added support for that in v1.9 !
- more set alarm time options have been added: 3 and 5 minutes.

### 5/5 — Can’t live without it!

*2026-06-16*

Finally an app that triggers alarms that you can actually hear and not just a silent notification you forget in a sec!
This app is just perfect! It plugs in your calendars and ring an alarm when you have events. You can’t miss meetings anymore!

### 5/5 — What on Earth!

*2026-06-11*

Would love to bring a 10 stars ⭐️ but obviously can’t!
The app is super reliable, and is my main app to keep track of my very complex calendar (work + personal) and the schedule of my autistic child (equally complex) and the many things I have to keep track daily. Now (version 4) it added “Things” a great tool to capture scans, photos, sketches, notes and stickies which can be organized in folders! This is the stop and go for anyone who wants an organized agenda/planner! Kudos to the developer(s)! Keep it up! 👍🏽

### 5/5 — 申しわけありません。知りませんでした。

*2026-06-05*

おかげさまで。月曜始まりに出来ました。ゴメンナサイ。

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2026-05-30*

I would regularly miss appointments. I wanted a way to be reminded about important events in a way that I couldn’t ignore without having to manually set up alarms each time. This app was exactly what I was seeking. It syncs with your calendar and then does an alarm to remind you. Not a notification or email, but a true alarm. Easy to set up and the advanced filters make it easy to configure your events. Highly recommended, especially if you focus hard and then miss important things.

### 5/5 — It’s almost perfect.

*2026-05-15*

UI is simple, clean yet it’s powerful. My single request would be having Reminders integrated into the calendar view. That would make me delete every other single “productivity” app. 😅 Kudos to the developer(s)!

### 5/5 — No more missed meetings

*2026-02-19*

Absolutely love this must-have app. Not proud of it, but when WFH and you’re not always in front of your desk, you can lose track of time and be late to meetings. If you’ve found yourself in such a situation before, this app will be a godsend for you. It creates alarms for the meetings in the day, and makes sure to get your attention. Amazing functionality, amazing value.

### 5/5 — Dreams

*2026-02-17*

I needed a way to “convert” my calendar invites to alarms so I stopped missing meetings. This app just gets better and better. I’ve been able to schedule reminders 10 minutes before and at meeting time. Only tip is to make sure you pay attention to “all day” events and make sure alarms are turned off for those. I’ve gotten woken up at 11:50pm a couple times
