Happened twice. - Bike/app acted as if the bike had been unlocked, but it wasn’t. Currently getting charged 20 cents a minute - Cannot get through paying; husband paid but cannot unlock; neither can he end the ride. - Scooters are never charged, you have to park them in designated spots - Did a ride, returned the bike, ended the ride in the App, locked the bike up, listened to the bike make the shut-down tone and shut down the display... and they charged me $200 for never returning the bike. - Scooter ran out of battery part way through the ride (had 32% to start and it only lasted about 15 minutes). Of course once the battery dies, you can’t end your ride so the timer for billing keeps running. - After we finished our ride, we locked our bikes and tried to end our rides through the leap app. Guess what?! The ride didn’t wanna end, the app kept on telling us to lock our bike (which we already did) and they were still charging us. - App does not work, and the staff has no ability to help - Hopefully, they are not dead or out of battery. Then when you want to finish your drive! it won’t happen after you call service. After 1 day, it will fix. They will not refund your payment. Sometime, there are random scooter activate you didn’t know, it will charge your account. - The hardware Leap decided to use for some reason is the worst in the scooter marketplace. Bells broken, brakes busted, batteries always dead. The hardware Leap decided to use for some reason is the worst in the scooter marketplace. Bells broken, brakes busted, batteries always dead. First bike did not unlock. I tried it a couple of times then successfully unlocked a second bike. I now see TEN separate charges for $60 on my credit card. What a buggy system. I have used bike share for years in numerous cities so I have done this before . Just warning others ### 1/5 — App not working *2024-10-14* I’m getting an error message now and it won’t fully load. I’ve use it a couple times before fine. I tried deleting it and downloading it again without luck ### 1/5 — E-Bike Issues *2024-04-07, version 1.3* I recently (about 34 minutes ago as of writing this) tried to unlock an E-Bike. The bike/app acted as if the bike had been unlocked, but it wasn’t. I am currently getting charged 20 cents a minute for how ever long until it is ‘locked back in place’ which can’t be done, because it never unlocked in the first place. ### 1/5 — DO NOT TRY *2024-02-11, version 1.3* Mine cannot get through paying; my husband paid but cannot unlock; neither can he end the ride. All attempts to contact customer serice: Ignored completely. Wanna make money by ignoring customers? These people have it figured out. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2023-07-30, version 1.1* Scooter ran out of battery part way through the ride (had 32% to start and it only lasted about 15 minutes). Of course once the battery dies, you can’t end your ride so the timer for billing keeps running. Plus I had to pause the scooter to one of the hubs so I wouldn’t get charged an ‘out of hub’ fee. No answer at customer service either. Don’t waste your time or money with this app - just walk. ### 1/5 — If you’re thinking about it, Don’t!!! *2023-07-19, version 1.1* After we finished our ride, we locked our bikes and tried to end our rides through the leap app. Guess what?! The ride didn’t wanna end, the app kept on telling us to lock our bike (which we already did) and they were still charging us. To make a long story short, our ride is still active for 2 weeks, and out tab is still opened so they’re still going to charge us. We tried calling customer service but of course no one answered, we have been try to reach out for the past two weeks but we never heard back. I live in Atchison village, work at the Richmond field station, and often commute via ferry. All these locations are covered with the today bikes and I am so grateful for the opportunity to bike instead of driving.
