Love the app. But has none of the newspapers that matter. Would not mind paying a small subscription to have access to the front page of Financial Times, Times of London, Corriere della Sera, Times of India, Hindustan Times etc. ### 2/5 — Using the Program *2025-09-11, version 4.1.2* Great concept, but I can’t get the program to allow me to choose the papers I want to review daily without having to go through each day the entire portfolio of newspapers. As a result the program is of little value to me. If there are instructions as to how to do that, I can’t find them. ### 2/5 — The WAS a favorite of mine… *2025-02-17, version 4.0.9* What a disaster! Takes forever to load newspapers and dumped all of my favorites. :/ I’ll continue to wait for app updates to fix this though, because I love the concept and I’ve been using it for years. ### 2/5 — Old app good *2025-01-01, version 4.0.5* New app bad ### 3/5 — New version wonky and crashes frequently *2024-12-24, version 4.0.3* I recognized that I’d need to get used to a new layout but the app doesn’t work. After spending a while saving favorites, I’m now told that I have no favorites. After using map to find my favorites, the Donegal Times pops up repeatedly after I click on my choices. Then the app just crashes. I hope they figure this out; I really liked this app and have recommended it to others. Now I can’t really use it. ### 2/5 — Yesterday’s News *2024-12-21, version 4.0.3* The recent issues continue. First, it was having to rebuild all of my favorites and now, Since “upgrading” the app, the front pages are one or two days old, thus pointless to read. I have given this new version a couple of weeks but will now seek other sources of news. Perhaps I will check back in a month or so to see if they have gotten their act together. ### 2/5 — Where is today? *2024-12-17, version 4.0.3* Sitting here on a Tuesday morning, at 8:00 AM. Trying to read TODAY’S headlines and all I see is Monday’s headlines. Too slow updating the “New” app. ### 3/5 — Can no longer save to Photos app *2024-12-13, version 4.0.2* The only reason I have this app is to save front pages to the Photos app to use for digital scrapbooking. This option is gone in the new version, so the app is now useless to me. Bummer. Don’t like the new interface either. Developer has responded that this feature will be added back to the app. I appreciate the fast response and am updating my review. I will update again once the “save to camera roll” feature is back. However I’m not sure what the purpose of the latest update is - first, it deleted my saved favorites, it’s more difficult to navigate within a page now, and it locks up constantly. And the new icon is ugly 😂. Fixing a problem that didn’t exist. Thanks. UPDATE: I appreciate the response from the developer and I understand that there will continue to be incremental updates to the product. After this latest point update (today is Dec. 13) there remain issues with zoom and scroll when viewing a front page. I give permission, then it sends me to my settings again. I just want to save a page to my camera roll like the app used to do. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Fails half the time *2025-08-24, version 4.1.1* While I appreciate the content, the app fails to provide it about half the time. Upon launch, the GUI just spins interminably without brining up any front pages. Adding insult to injury, the link to offer feedback doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Larry *2025-08-05, version 4.1.1* This use to be the first app of the day to open, BUT!! ever since their update its turned into junk. In order to catch it right, must try several times, going out of, then back into app. Does not remember only 4 selected newspapers (star at bottom doesn't remember prior choices). YES I have removed and rebooted and reloaded SEVERAL TIMES. And just for the record, the ability of the new app to enlarge print is not nearly as good as the old one. Now, the widget on my iPhone screen is just a black space that can’t be clicked on. Using the map to find them, I click on each, but the image is always the Decatur Daily.
