Hopefully this feature is implemented in the future. That's why we're here, right? Tofu is an open-source MFA application. Features it's missing: - Backup: a way to backup all of the accounts I have configured for a swift restore on another device, or on the same device after a factory reset. Current state, if I lose my device, I have to make sure I have my recovery one-time-use codes for all accounts configured in Tofu, disable MFA, and re-enable / reconfigure MFA on each account for Tofu. This isn't acceptable for me. - Export: what if I want to move to another application? I shouldn't have to go to each account directly and reconfigure this. A JSON export would be excellent. This could be considered similar to the previous bullet. This traps me into this environment. Therefore an option to display the seeds saved would be great. Last update on the appstore was a few years ago. The original dev passed the app onto his friend who has made changes to the backend app but not anything since June 1st, 2024. This is an amazing 2FA app, very minimalistic but it is missing a ton of QOL features. ### 1/5 — There is no backup *2025-02-12, version 1.11* The app is fine until you have to reset your phone and you find out there is no backup function. Now I have to go through each service, disable 2FA, reset my phone, and enable 2FA for each service. I wanted to be able to specify graphics to quickly identify from lots of tokens I need. Also its designed for phone and doesnt look good on iPad. Deleted after 5 mins ### 2/5 — great app, massive issue *2026-02-21, version 1.11* this would be undoubtedly the best authenticator app on ios if not for one thing. this app is missing a supported way to export your keys. your totp keys are not viewable, they are not even saved to your icloud storage. this sucks. if you lose your phone, the app is deleted, your phone is wiped, or anything like that, your 2fa codes are gone. this sucks. this app doesn't seem to be maintained. i cant recommend tofu, but i've yet to find another 2fa totp app that is as good and simple as this one. very unfortunate. if the developer is reading this, you know what to do. ### 2/5 — Did NOT Save in iCloud *2023-08-12* I got this 2FA app per a recommendation from privacy tools. I loved how easy it is to use and privacy respecting. However it did not save in iOS keychain like the description claimed it would. Due to an issue, I had to factory reset my phone and lost everything from this app. There is no way to restore from a backup either. ### 3/5 — Bien, pero escueta *2025-01-18* La aplicación cumple perfectamente con su función, y agradezco al desarrollador su tiempo. Pero es demasiado simple: no tiene ninguna función para hacer copias de seguridad de los datos ni restaurar. Tampoco se puede visualizar el QR o el código de las cuentas, por si necesitas configurarlo en otra app en otro dispositivo, por seguridad.
