## What is Told?

Told: Shared Journals for Your Real Life

Told is a beautifully visual, shared journaling app that helps you capture everyday life with the people who matter most. Create private journals for your family, your kids, your book club—the sky's the limit—and invite others to contribute entries with you. Told is easy to use, visually rich, and built for memory-keeping together.

Create a journal for anything.
Start a journal with a title, description, and custom cover image. Use it for a child’s milestones, your family updates, a shared experience, or your personal reflections. Each journal can have:
A cover photo
Custom title and description
Reminders to prompt you to post
A co-owner who can manage it with you
Journal members who can view or add entries
Add entries in seconds

Each entry can include:
Up to 10 photos or videos
An optional title and caption
Just text, just photos, or both
A date
Entries can be posted to one or more journals at once. No need to worry about the timing—Told pulls the actual photo date so your memories stay in order.

Your home feed
See all entries from all your journals in one place: a two-column visual feed that updates with each new post. Tap any entry to view it in full.

Your journals at a glance
Go to the My Journals page to see every journal you're part of. Each journal appears in a clean grid with:
Its cover image and title
Total number of entries
Date of last update
An icon to show if it’s shared or just yours

Tap any journal to open a visual timeline of all its posts in chronological order. At the top, you’ll see:
Journal title and description
Number of members and entries
A streak counter showing how many days in a row it’s been updated

Thoughtful features for consistency
Reminders help you make journaling a habit
Streaks keep you motivated
Commenting lets you respond to friends’ entries
Media date auto-fill keeps your timeline accurate without extra work

Told is not about followers or likes. It’s not for everyone—it’s for your people.
Build your own small social space where you can remember, reflect, and share real life as it happens.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-02-16*

Love the ability to see all the grandkids.

### 5/5 — The solution to extended family group chats

*2026-02-03*

Everyone has those big family or friends group chats where you only care about half of the things on it. Told solved that problem as you can set up journals for different topics and you can post and comment on each others stuff with just the people you care about. It also has a great UI so you can visually see everything that you’ve posted. It’s the only social media I want to post on.

### 5/5 — The perfect journal for my kids

*2026-01-29*

I use this for my daughter and son, I have a journal for each of them and I’ve invited all their aunts, uncles, grandparents, and close friends. I love getting to share all their little moments, but also I love that I get this beautiful journal in chronological order of my kids lives. I want them to get to see these little moments when they are older, and I’m glad that through this I’ll be able to save everything. I’m a big fan of the text entries as well because I like writing quick notes of the funny things they say or do.

I also love how I can have collaborators who can add to their journals. I love seeing posts from grandma of the fun things she did with my kiddos.

And, on top of it all, my siblings use it for their kids, so I get to see all the adorable photos of my nieces and nephews.

Love this app.

### 5/5 — Love the Collaboration

*2026-01-11*

This is a fantastic app. My friend and I are able to share our fitness journey, including thoughts and photos. My only issue is that I can’t switch out a picture once posted. If you mk a mistake, too bad

### 5/5 — Awesome Shared Journal!
