## What is Tolowa Dee?

The Tolowa Dee-ni’ Conversational App is a comprehensive language learning application designed to support the revitalization, retention, and everyday use of the Tolowa Dee-ni’ language. Grounded in community needs and developed with local speakers, the app focuses on practical conversational fluency across common social contexts. It integrates auditory and visual learning through spoken word recordings, written characters, and structured lessons that mirror real-world interactions.

The app features 22 foundational lessons that progressively build vocabulary and conversational competence. Each lesson is carefully crafted around key themes such as greetings, introductions, family, environment, food, cultural practices, emotions, time, and community life.
