Favorite part is that it actually vibrates like a timer so I can’t ignore it and it has a complication that I can quickly glance at. Now this is the best pomodoro timer app on Apple Watch imo. Thanks for building this! Original review: This app is awesome. My one request is could we have an option to change the watch face icon from that smiling tomato to just showing countdown minutes? It looks cute, but I just need something looks more professional. Thank you for the constructive feedback! ### 5/5 — Perfect Pomodoro App *2020-06-02* This app gets everything right: It has a simple 25 minute countdown with 5 minute break, it notifies you when the 25 minutes is up with a constant vibration so that you can confirm whether or not you would like to take a break, it runs in the background, and it doesn’t have a crazy subscription model. Ich nutze die App fürs Studium. So kann ich mir mit bloß „einem“ Timer gleich zwei Timer stellen. Funktioniert einwandfrei und sehr nützlich. Desweitern ist es sehr gut beim Intervalltrainig geeignet. Every time I press the timer, it just says “Tomatoflex does not have permission to schedule background sessions …” etc. Although I press “enable background” each time, it is NOT WORKING! Please help - the app itself seems amazing only if I could use it. ### 1/5 — Not working-APp says I purchased it but won’t let me download again? *2021-06-06* Not showing on iPhone and watch. This app seems to be rare in that the complication shows roughly what time is left *when your wrist is down* AND it vibrates repeatedly until you move to the next timer. There isn’t another app I know of that does this, and I like that this isn’t subscription based. I like the second thing because when I’m focused sometimes I miss the initial vibration and with other apps I’ll blow through the break, kinda defeating the purpose of pomodoro. I like that this app waits for you to advance the timer and ensure that you’re taking proper breaks. The only reason I took off a star is because it doesn’t support having short and long breaks, so I use my timer app for the long break. Wasted money. EDIT: (My previous review resulted from the fact that I’ve never downloaded an Apple Watch Only app before and it took me time to figure out how to launch it. It’s not obvious, but this one is on Apple.) TomatoFlex is very very simple, which is its big advantage compared to other apps. I also love the progress display button. What I find missing is the 5 min break option, which can be a problem if you’re trying to apply the Pomodoro 25/5 intervals. It syncs process between my devices (works well on my watch) 2. No ads, no subscription 3. No task management (why would I want this in a timer app) BTW, I tried a lot of apps, if I start a session on my watch, not a single one will notifies me when the session ends. This one does. ### 5/5 — Lovely app *2022-07-13, version 2.3.0* Hi, thank you for the amazing app! I was looking for a pomodoro timer that shows the digital time on watch module’s small part, also works when my phone’s away from me and provides simple statics so I’m glad to find tomatoflex in the end. There are few suggestions I’d like to propose tho, the first one is about the ‘stop’ during the pomodoro session. I’ve found out that the time that I worked is not recorded once I stop, and it quite makes sense since this app is about pomodoro, but I thought it’d be also nice if I can check the total focus time, maybe with partly-colored circle for unfinished pomodoro so that I can also see how many times I had been distracted during the session. But as some others won’t, it would be better to ask whether we would add the record or not when we stop. Also, I hope the icon on the module looks aesthetically(😂) better when I’m not using it. I like how it shows time when the pomodoro’s working(the charging bar and the time in the middle), but when I’m not using it, the pie-chart shaped icon doesn’t seem to be fit in the simple looking module on apple watch. I do appreciate the app tho, so again, thank you very much for making it:) ### 5/5 — More improvement? *2022-03-21* I’m very satisfied since it is working seamlessly among other devices including apple watch and gives simple statistics. However, it would be better if u can add a “hold” button like other timers. Currently, if I stop the timer while the pomodoro is running, it just reset the timer to the beginning. It works great and is easy to use. It has definitively helped me stay focused during the day! The only thing I wish it had is actions on the long notification press.
