## What is TomsGymTracker?

Toms GymTracker is a simple, private workout log for the gym. Track what you lift, see whether you're getting stronger, and keep your data to yourself.

Log every set with weight and reps. The app estimates your one-rep max (1RM) for each set, so you get a comparable strength number even when your reps change from day to day. Pick an exercise and watch your progress over time as a clean chart.

Because the same "80 kg" on one machine isn't the same as on another, GymTracker keeps exercises, machines and gyms apart — so your numbers stay comparable, even across different studios.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Log sets fast — weight × reps, with your last set carried over as a starting point
• Estimated 1RM for every set (Epley formula)
• Progress chart per exercise, with your best result and an average line
• Filter your progress by gym or by machine
• Organise exercises by category (Push, Pull, Legs, Core, Cardio) and type (compound or isolation)
• Track multiple gyms, each with its own location
• Note whether you want more, the same, or less weight next time
• Export your full history as CSV — and import it back
• Automatic, private iCloud sync across your iPhones

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
Your workouts live on your device and in your private iCloud database. There is no third-party account and no server in between.

GymTracker is free — no subscription, just a small banner ad.

Requires an iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-08-27

Biggest update since launch – your training gets structure:

Workout plans with targets
Build plans from your exercises – target sets, reps and weight. During your workout you check them off set by set. The exercise you're on stays up top, and completed ones drop to the bottom.

Guided start
Tap "Start workout" and you're guided: Where are you training? Which plan? – and off you go.

Post-workout summary
Finish your workout and see what you achieved at a glance: exercises, sets, reps, total weight, a comparison to last time and your weekly frequency.

Plans from your history
Create plans in seconds – pull in exercises from your recent workouts, including the weights you last used.

Reminder
Never forget to wrap up an open workout (can be turned off in Settings)

Now bilingual
The app speaks English and German – automatically matching your device language.

Plus: cleaner navigation, improved CSV export/import, and lots of small refinements.
