GUI/UX is smart and simple, and the app works as expected. Generates a proper sine wave that you can use to calibrate equipment. I verified the accuracy of the signal test tones being generated with a chromatic tuner. They are 100% spot on. if I had any complaint, it’s that this app hasn’t been updated in over two years, so it’s anyone’s guess if it will keep working with regular iPad OS updates. As of 16.5.1, it’s working fine. The only other improvement I’d ask for is to be able to directly type in frequencies. having to virtually spin a pot is irritating and archaic. but for free it’s hard to complain! Would be cool to have a automated frequency dial in which you can control the speed of rate in which you go up in hertz level. Also so when dialing trough tone pitches it would sound smoother, like a controlled assent and descent. List of presets can automatically be rearranged in numerical order when extra presets are added. E.g., if list is 100, 200, 300, 400 etc. and you want to add 150, 250, 350, 450 etc., these added values can be automatically inserted in the correct numerical order… e.g, the list becomes 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, etc. 2. The presets can be played directly from the list of presets without having to be loaded then played one at a time. In other words, when I am in the list of presets, each value has a play button next to it that I can press and immediately have that sound play. It’s not just another tone generator — it’s actually useful. The built-in keyboard that lets you hear each note and see its exact frequency is brilliant. It’s perfect for composing, tuning, referencing pitches, and reaching that low-end response — everything just works the way it should. Most tone apps feel like technical utilities. This one feels musical. The layout is clean, intuitive, and it reacts instantly. Whoever designed it clearly understands how musicians think and work. I have a request however door the developer. No, it’s a plea. If the frequency range could be extended to 10hz and I’d love to see a VST3 / AUv3 / desktop plugin version of this. It’d be a perfect addition to any DAW — not just for testing tones. This app is accurate, reliable, and free — easily the best tone generator I’ve found on mobile.
