There’s no sound at all (although my other apps are working fine). How can an app to train your ears have no sound? I try to request a refund immediately but apple said I was not eligible. The buttons frequently move during the tests leading to unintentional errors. It’s obvious that the application is not being maintained. I will be looking for a better solution as I am fed up with struggling with this app. ### 2/5 — Sound *2022-08-10, version 1.0.2* Would be the best app of its genre but the problem with the sound is almost unbearable. ### 1/5 — yes i already know about turning on the button for sound. *2022-08-02* if you are in the middle of a quiz and go to another app, when you come back there will be no sound no matter what you do. also if you select or deselect an interval that you want to be in the quiz (on the page where you can also listen to the interval) once it’s deselected it cannot be reselected until you go back to home page and start over. also once you finish a quiz it sometimes has no sound. also if someone calls when you’re in the app, you have no sound afterward. sometimes all conditions for sound are met and you still have no sound. this app could be so good. finally an app with ascending & descending intervals, intervals in context, etc but NO! i can’t win … smh ### 1/5 — Just Use the Website *2022-07-28* The website version is AMAZING. I was hopeful about the app but as soon as i launched it i could see it wasnt nearly as polished as their website. The sounds dont play half the time, scrolling drags things around and messes up the whole format, it’s slow and laggy, and it generally just feels like someone made half of it and never bothered finishing it. I hope they patch it and improve on the app in the future, but it’s six years old already so i doubt that’s going to happen. This app really shouldn’t cost any money, don’t bother with it. Does exactly what I need it to and I can already tell I am improving. There are several complaints about it not playing the tones. I found the problem is due to having the silent mode switch down on your phone. You need to turn off the silent mode switch for the tones to play. Gifting it to my students. ### 5/5 — Best eartraining app (especially for chord progressions) *2019-04-24* So I use their website free online but I wanted something on my phone that I could use when I travel and don’t have internet//a computer. I was reluctant to pay (haha) because it’s free online but it’s totally worth it... specifically for the chord progression ear training... which has been almost impossible for me to find, and when I have it’s been mediocre at best. This app is the best one I have yet to find, so I will say worth the purchase. It looks like the people who gave bad rating either had a version with a bug or didn’t know how to get the sound working. I first looked at the price and the ratings (before investigating why the 1 star.. which seems to be a nonissue now) and was reluctant to purchase the app, but I’m happy with it so far- will update if that changes. :) But I personally would recommend the app if you are a serious musician and want to work on your ear training- SPECIFICALLY harmonic ear training aka chord progressions (as there are plenty of apps for interval training etc).
