### 4/5 — Clean design.

*2018-01-18, version 1.33*

This app has a very clean design, is easy to use, and is very fun to mess around with. I think what this application needs more than anything is a wider selection of options like different timing, more pages, etc. I think this has the potential to be a great app if the effort and creativity is put in. Also I would recommend increasing the size of the dots just a smidge because they are kind of hard to get precise taps on.

### 4/5 — Fun app

*2012-01-09, version 1.21*

This is an entertaining app. Lots of fun creating tunes. Easy to use.
Please join me in spreading the word about the biggest cheating game in the app store-Micropool by Botond. Just check out the Face book page, Stop Micropool Now, and you can get all the details. Yes, this game is actually designed to cheat in favor of the phone/computer. If you hate cheats ad much as I do, please check this out and tell everyone you know about this horrible cheating game. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Sweet! Some Pro ideas..

*2010-11-30, version 1.21*

This app is awesome. In music theory terms - you select notes from a D major pentatonic scale, playing on a one measure loop at a constant tempo (80 bpm or so). So it always makes good harmony.

A few ideas for a better Pro version -
1. Extend the length of the loop or be able to make a full song. You could scroll through it, left to right.
2. Variable tempo.
3. Export to an .mp3
4 This would take away from the simplicity, but adding a 4th would help some harmonies, but would clash with some others.

### 5/5 — I love it

*2010-11-22, version 0*

This is great app, it's fun and easy to make cool little beats. Some things I'd like to see: ability to layer different saved files to make a sing, more pages to make music on, and a larger range of notes. Don't make it too complicated, but there's a ton of potential here.

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing

*2010-11-13, version 0*

Tonepad is fun and simple to use and the sounds are amazing. Good way to pass the time since the music is kind of soothing. Great to see what different combinations I can use. Definitely one of the best downloads I've had in a while.

### 4/5 — It's great, add this though

*2010-11-10, version 0*

Fun app, but all it needs is being able to tie in together other saves you've made to make one long song. Like time one save to play for a certain amount of time and then bring in another one after that. That would make this app!

### 4/5 — Great but

*2010-08-12, version 0*

I know this is free but it gets limiting quickly. I would like the ability to have more than one matrix chained together and some different tones. Perhaps multiple taps on a dot cycles through them?

This is great for free. I won't buy it though without a little more flexibility.

### 4/5 — Making killer tunes within 30 seconds

*2010-06-16, version 0*

Figured free was a good price. I am extremely impressed. Within the first 30 seconds I had something that I would love to use as my ringtone. Can the paid version do that? I'll have to check into it. 4 stars.

### 5/5 — Fun & addicting! SiggyV

*2010-06-10, version 0*

Nice sequencer, you can save and load each sequence to create a song, shuffle it, rotate it. The posibilties are endless.
A few things lacking though, wish it had a few sounds to select and an option to rename a file, not sure if this are included in the pro version.
For a free apps you can never go wrong.

### 4/5 — Nice little sequencer

*2010-05-20, version 0*

It's a bit like having a mini-arp in your hand. Audio is good, the app's use is easy, and the ability to change it's color is cool. I wish it had more sounds but the ones it comes with are very pleasing to the ear. Very addictive. Surprisingly musical.

### 5/5 — Very Cool, would Get the Pro Version if it Offered More

*2010-05-09, version 0*

The fact that the full version allows you to turn your creation into ringtones is useless for people like me who have an iPod Touch. Maybe add more, and I'll get the pro version.

### 5/5 — Great....but

*2010-04-08, version 0*

It is a great idea...but if it allowed u 2 do more then it does and goes on longer for at least 30 secs and allow u 2 upload it 2 ur computer as a melody for a beat i would deff buy it also more range with the notes would b awesome like lower notes and also the ability 2 change tempos would make this app simply amazing as well as the ability 2 make songs longer and b able 2 upload ur creations 2 the computer if all that happens i would pay 4.99 for it

### 1/5 — Export doesn’t match pitch or time

*2023-01-08, version 2.0*

Either the player itself or whatever is happening on the export sadly don’t match up. Exported files all end up in a different key/pitch and slower than the pad itself.

### 1/5 — HELP

*2021-03-06, version 2.0*

I can’t seem to get the sound to play, like the green line and sound seems to not work and I can’t find out why

### 1/5 — Agreed, the update screwed everything up

*2009-06-23, version 0*

The program was great until the update caused a pause between measures. Was this intended? Is this supposed to give us an incentive to upgrade to the pro version? I'd pay money for the pro version if it 1) The pitches of the notes could be arbitrarily set 2) The tempo could be adjusted 3) Don't allow the iPod/iPhone to suspend during the program 4) Add different synths. Until these features are added and I buy the pro one, please roll back the crippling "update."

### 2/5 — Garbage

*2021-12-13, version 2.0*

The songs last about 6 seconds, and it is confusing. There are no genre selections, and you have to pay to export files. Waste of storage and time. The only good thing is the customization.

### 2/5 — Unacceptable

*2021-01-03, version 2.0*

You have to pay to export music

### 2/5 — Downgrade wanted

*2020-06-07, version 2.0*

It sounds less xylophony than the last version, please tell me how to downgrade this

### 2/5 — Not practical

*2011-06-04, version 1.21*

Why does every one say they're making "songs"? The most you can do with this is make a 4 second loop! Absolutely ridiculous people consider this a music making app. It's a toy! If you really want to make music, get something from sound trends(with these apps, your songs can be over 4 seconds!). Otherwise, this is a good app for just messing around. It's easy to use, and well done. I would give this app 5 stars if it had audio copy and paste so you could add loops made in this app to other apps. It would give serious musicians a real reason to buy this app. It should also have more sounds/instruments and a way to change the tempo.

### 2/5 — Oh my god!

*2009-06-17, version 0*

This is practically drugging your brain! I swear, only thing that could possibly make this app better is a pause, play speed up and slow down button. Add those, you have a top 10 Worldwide app, it's just that good. Besides, what do you have too lose?

Edit: With version 1.11, there's now a gap between the beginning and the end of the music! I'm revoking three stars until they fix this. At least put in the option to turn this gap on or off. A few more instruments would be nice. Variable speed/tempo would make this much better of an app.

### 3/5 — Ehh not the best

*2022-08-02, version 2.0*

Those app is the best music app I’ve ever gotten it just needs to allow you to make longer songs

### 3/5 — Eh

*2021-05-30, version 2.0*

good for writing tunes but
**forces you to pay to send the file**

### 5/5 — Ate that up

*2023-05-29*

It’s good for my adhd 🤷‍♀️

### 5/5 — Very cool app 🤙

*2021-02-05, version 2.0*

I always wanted to find a app that’s easy to create sounds like Launchpad and I like the retro 8bit sound nice job although I wish there was more space for sound, although it’s a pretty good app and I recommend getting it.🤙👍🏻

### 5/5 — So Cute!

*2020-12-16, version 2.0*

Every time I create music with this it sounds so cute!!! ❤️ it.

### 5/5 — ITS THE BEST

*2020-11-11, version 2.0*

It really is I love it! Even if your bad at music it sounds good! There is one annoying glitch that when you save a song the screen gets glitched! The only way to solve this is close the app and open it

### 5/5 — Please read this will help the app a lot

*2020-08-11, version 2.0*

I really do like this app not gonna lie, buuut I really do wish you can make your songs longer because then you can add more to your songs and people will like this app and notice it more. Also another thing that will help this app to get more notice is that you can export for free cause I think it’s pretty dumb to pay to export cause I think you can add plenty of more things you can do that you have to pay money for. But again.. I do like the app and how simple it is, and if you add these things I said just me, a lot more people will like this app and use it

### 5/5 — Very unique.

*2020-07-23, version 2.0*

It's not really making a full song, but it's still unique enough for me to enjoy. You simply place shapes on a pad and it makes a small looping song, but it's so much more than that. It's definitely the most creative visual music app I have ever seen. Cheers!

### 5/5 — Pocket Idea Generator

*2020-06-07, version 2.0*

I love this app so much! It is so easy to generate something interesting and satisfying, I use it to come up with ideas all the time. I was very happy to see the recent update give us some editing tools, scale selection, and the ability to export audio. Simplicity is one of this apps most compelling qualities, and these new features don’t really add any undue complexity. However, they do make infinitely easier to share your work or fit an idea into other projects. Absolutely love it!

To the dev: you have already blown my mind. Blow it up again with a midi export or output please :)

### 5/5 — Bring back Pro!

*2016-01-22, version 1.30*

Even though I am a professional musician, I really enjoyed playing with this app from time to time because of its extreme simplicity. And I enjoyed sharing it with my young nephews. Now apparently only the regular version with ads is available. It doesn't really detracts from my experience, however when my small nephews play with it they sometimes accidentally click on the ads and they get lost.

### 5/5 — Enchanting

*2015-07-23, version 1.30*

I’m so glad this app was resurrected. I had it years ago on my first iPod touch and loved playing with it when I had a free moment. It’s not a sequencer, it’s not a multitrack recorder, it’s not a music composition tool. If you want those things, there are other apps for that. This is just a delightfully simple tool for building pretty musical phrases. Maybe calling it a toy would set the correct expectations, but I see it as a little gem living on my phone.

(Actually this version has ads, which spoil the aesthetics somewhat. If the developer added an in-app purchase to remove the ads, I’d buy it.)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2011-05-02, version 1.21*

This is an addicting and cute little app, its simple pick up and go quick style is nice, ive made so many short little tunes, which is about all you can do. More pages for longer tunes would be huge on this! Absolutely loved this app!
