## What is Tonespin?

Tonespin is a focused tone rewriter for quick drafts.

Paste text, choose Formal, Casual, Professional, Playful, Concise, or Friendly, and generate a rewritten version. On supported systems it can use Apple language features; otherwise a deterministic local rules engine provides the rewrite.

Tonespin stores rewrite history locally and has no account, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud backend, or subscription.

Clarity Analysis - Every rewrite now shows a Clarity badge alongside the Readability scores. Passive voice constructions, weak adverbs (very, really, absolutely...), sentences over 20 words, and hedging phrases are flagged individually with a plain-English explanation of each issue. A 0-100 Clarity Score summarises how directly the text is written. Tap the badge to see which specific words triggered each flag. Compare the original and rewritten versions side by side to see whether the tone shift also cleaned up the writing.

Share Sheet - Tap the new Share button on any rewrite result to send the text directly to Mail, Messages, Notes, or any iOS extension - no copy-paste required.

Phrase Vault - Tap Phrases in Compose to open a library of 117 professionally sourced phrase starters: Email Openers, Email Closings, Subject Lines, Requests, Apologies, Feedback, and Transitions. Filter by your current tone and tap any phrase to insert it directly into your draft. Works fully offline.

Word-Level Diff - Open any saved rewrite from History and tap the Diff tab. Words added by the rewrite are highlighted green; words removed are struck through in red.
