The amount of coins you lose doesn’t seem consistent at all. Sometimes it feels completely random how much gets taken when you lose. I definitely wouldn’t recommend purchasing coins either. You can spend real money on coins and lose them WAY faster than you purchased them because there doesn’t seem to be any consistency in how much you win or lose. I enjoy Tonk itself, but the coin system makes the game frustrating instead of fun. Waste of time ### 3/5 — Addictive but Unfair Play *2026-07-21, version 1.59* I’ve been playing this game for awhile. It is very addictive if you like card games. I spend money because it IS fun. But, I’ve noticed patterns in the game that make it seem unfair. 1) you’re only as good as the hand you’re dealt. Opponents can have 3 spreads in their hand while you don’t have any. 2) 98% of the time your hand feeds into the hand of the person to your right whereas the person to your left almost never puts down cards that help your hand. 3) you have to pay to play AND you pay if you lose. So you lose coins twice with every hand you lose. 4) your odds of winning increase if you pay for coins. But your odds are lower if you use the free coins given to you daily. 5) players who already have the trophy have a higher chance of winning the second game and ultimately the whole pot. 6) finally the payout details don’t make any sense so you’ll never understand why you lost more coins than the other player that lost. 7) the rules are not clear when it comes to losing your coins Yeah, I play a lot. But it’s frustrating to see what’s going on. So I had to leave a review. The way the cards are dealt is rigged so you can’t win. How every time I try to play I don’t get single set but the bots get 2 or 3 sets to lay down at the start of a hand.
