My only negative experience is if an alarm goes off or a text message comes through on my phone, the app will freeze. This causes me to have to restart the app, and my students lose all their stars that they have earned. **Developer response:** Hi ACM2009, Thank you for the positive review... despite the issue you mention. I am pleased to report we have identified and fixed the issue (we found a similar thing if a voice call came through!). We will be uploading the new version in the next few days. Sehr schnell haben sie erkannt, dass ihre Lautstärke gemessen wird. Dann durften sie einmal schreien. Wenn sie nun 20 Minuten es schafften, nicht mehr in den roten Bereich zu kommen, dann strich ich zwei Aufgaben der Hausaufgabe. Es hat sofort funktioniert: Die größten Störenfriede waren die besten Ermahner: „Psst. Nicht so laut.“ Am Ende der Stunde haben die Schüler reflektiert, dass, sie sich viel besser konzentrieren konnten. In der nächsten Stunde wollten viele wieder, dass ich die App einsetze, was wieder erfolgreich war. Nach den Osterferien werde ich die App mit einem anderen Hintergrund (gibt es bei der Pro-Version) in einer 7. Klasse ausprobieren. Die App lässt sich je nach Unterrichtssituation anpassen (Voreinstellungen: Unterrichtsgespräch, Gruppenarbeit, Einzelarbeit, Stillarbeit, oder selbst einstellen). Das Sternebelohnungssystem hat meine 5.-Kläßler sehr angesprochen. Ergänzung: Leider unterstützt die App kein Splitscreen, sodass meine Schüler z. B. eine Musterlösung oder den Arbeitsauftrag sehen können. Eine E-Mail an den Support wurde bisher nicht beantwortet. Wenn es den Splitscreen gibt, gebe ich gern wieder 5 Sterne. ### 4/5 — Noise o meter *2022-12-07* Great app but hard to close when not using ### 4/5 — Even the kids request it! *2021-07-10* It works great! I teach first through third grade art, it can get a little crazy in there if I’m not on top of it. Too noisy is the best assistant, and the kids even enjoy it: Students monitor each other and will request it so that the classroom can be quiet so they can concentrate. I have been using it for at least a couple of years. I would give it a five if they would get some new background images. I’m tired of these images and would like more. But it is a lifesaver! ### 4/5 — Nice App - 1 Suggestion *2020-11-25* This app has been very helpful for our situation. The decibel meter is very accurate and the display options are nice. My only suggestion and request is that the number of seconds before the warning alarm goes off can be changed. A text or alarm. If you close it and check something else and come back it’s frozen. You then have to close the app reopen it and reset their stars. Please make smaller variances between sensitivity levels. I can never use anything under 98%. Even 98% is too loud in my room. Then I needed an update, so I got charged again. Will I be charged every update? Overall, I really like the app. My students have responded well to it. It makes station time run smoothly and the students work at a very low level (or they're not talking at all). They even encourage each other to "keep it down" if they see the meter move. I've enjoyed the additional background themes and hope you add some more soon! My students love the cat, dog, and snowman backgrounds. Unfortunately ever since I downloaded iOS 10, the buzzer for the room getting too loud goes off instantly. I've tried to reinstall the app and I tried it on both my iPad and iPhone, but the same thing happens. Please fix this and I will be sure to update my review with my usual love for your product. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Poor quality for a paid app *2016-01-05* It's not got any special features and you can barely even hear it!, the screen crack feature is very annoying, although you can turn it off. Only works in landscape mode and the sound detection system just seems so basic.. Not worth £2.99 :( **Developer response:** Hi Alibopss, I am sorry to hear the app does not work for you. Not everyone likes the screen cracking feature. From our feedback 50% of people love it and 50% do not. That is why we put the option in to turn it off. The app is designed to work only in landscape mode as: 1) Many Teachers will "Mirror" the app onto a projector, MAC/PC screen etc. and landscape mode makes most sense for this. 2) We experimented with portrait mode support, but it did not work well with the variety of graphics we use and there is little user demand for portrait mode. Regarding the volume...there was a bug on the iPhone version that caused the Alarm sound to play too quietly...this is now fixed if you would care to download the latest release of the app? Also, for information, we have made it easier for you to report any bugs or make suggestions for improvements from inside the app. You can contact us directly by going to "Settings/Feedback" and then tapping the "Contact Us" button. We always read any comments and any suggestions for improvements could easily be included in future releases of the app. ### 1/5 — So much potential *2015-04-07, version 4.11* The first time I used this app it was great. I didn't have to keep asking my class to get quiet. They knew that if the buzzer went off they lost a star, so they were self-monitoring. But the app hasn't worked that well since. My students will be talking and it won't buzz no matter how much I adjust it. Furthermore, when I try to contact the company, my the email address is invalid. Too bad. This would be a great tool if it did what it says it will. ### 1/5 — don't waste your mone *2015-01-19, version 1.20* this wouldn't be worth having if it was free. i had to buy it for a class and it was a complete waste of money ### 1/5 — Not Worth It... *2012-10-05, version 1.5* The noise sensitivity isn't accurate at all. If you set it on silent mode (which is 100 percent noise sensitivity) you can sit 2 feet away from your phone and have a normal volume level conversation and it won't go off. I basically had to yell to get it to go off and the phone was in arms reach. So if you are in a classroom full of kids they can all talk in a low to normal volume and it won't set it off. This helps the students to maintain self control.
