You have to ‘estimate’ the sound in the room before it will measure it and it affects the level. completely unreliable and inaccurate.

The free version of TooLoud is a toy because the reported values are usually way wrong. Get this version instead to calibrate against a NIST traceable sound pressure level meter and turn your phone into an instrument.
