Markdown support would be cool to at least read other people’s posts who use it n ### 3/5 — no way to see full URLs before going to them *2026-03-13, version 26.0* you used to be able to preview a link in-app, but now the only way to do so is to long-press on the URL, copy it, and paste it somewhere else (like Notes or whatever). That makes it a possible security risk. Mastodon has become a thing of the past, I'm afraid. ### 3/5 — Animations too slow, no way to turn them off *2025-04-05, version 21.1* Was a bit skeptical of a paid mastodon client, the thing that peaked my interests was it looked like in one screenshot it had a feature to use multiple accounts from different instances, which is extremely useful if your part of a system, as i am, however upon downloading it It’s feeling really slow, with these animations, don’t get me wrong the animations are nice, and the way it handles CW’s is also quite nice, but Id like an option to turn them off or at least speed them up as, they take way too long.. I also felt weirded out by the “for men” paid extras, in an already paid app, I generally don’t like gender stereotypes and I don’t appreciate references to them in my mastodon clients, I’m a trans woman, It’s mastodon, I joined partly to avoid that sort of thing, the fact there are in app purchases in an already paid app is annoying the fact they play into gender stereotypes is kinda frustrating, ### 4/5 — Toot! Über iCloud wird sogar die Leseposition snychronisiert. Schade ist allerdings, dass man Toot nicht zur Installation auf Apple Silicon Macs angeboten bekommt. Es wäre hilfreich, wenn das Lesen und die Synchronisation der Lesepostion auch am Mac möglich wäre. (after trying other apps) for nearly two years and LOVE it. It does (almost) everything I could ask for as a Mastodon/Fediverse user, and it does it without any apparent bugs. The one exception is not limiting posts to a specific designated language — unless I just can’t find that setting. I know I can select a language on the Mastodon app, but that setting doesn’t flow through to Toot! (Is there a fix?) Every single menu button gives a different list of things depending on what timeline you’re looking at. Basic timeline filters are missing, for example, but the worst offence is the photo picker. The photo picker presents a grid of your entire library, with no sorting, filtering, or way to access albums or other organisation. It also defaults to the oldest photo in your library, so if you wanna post that photo you literally just took, you’ve got tens of gigabytes of photos to thumb scroll through. The interface has so many small flaws (the wheel to swipe between instances interferes with basic accessibility functionality like reachability) that I just can’t recommend anyone download this app. ### 1/5 — Disappointing. *2022-11-17, version 16.0* Was looking for a mastodon client and heard name said. Would net even find my server. Turns out others were suggesting tooot (notice 3 o’s). But on top of that, the alt-text editor is pretty frustrating. If you upload an image from the clipboard, switch apps to cooy the longtext you screenshotted, and paste it into the editor, you can't, it will say it failed to upload the image. It works if the image is saved to the library, but thats annoying! And the alt text editor is frequently hard to quit, and the guides obfuscate the image... It's not ideal But other than that, perfect app, mostly. Ok, bookmarks are a bit hidden, there are some other oddities.
