You have to start your purchase by linking to the store through the app. And then supposedly the app will track what you bought and provide you with the appropriate cash back. I’ve had this thing for a couple of months and for the first time I used it quickly posted that the transaction was identified and cash back amount was listed (with the proviso the transaction needed time to be confirmed. I have since use this app to make purchases three times, always linking out to the store from the app. However, the app has not detected any of these transactions. When I entered in a ticket for my purchase, they completely ignored the ticket, and removed it from visibility from any location in the app. So from my perspective, this app doesn’t actually give you cash back it just tracks you, then makes it difficult to track your tickets and create new ones. How is it that the app is able to track that I went to a store but somehow doesn’t see my purchase??? ### 3/5 — It’s great…sometimes! *2026-05-03, version 15.0.2* I do find that Top Cash Back has typically the highest cash back rates of other competitors, however, the completion rate of my transactions with Top Cash Back is significantly lower than others. First of all, redemption timelines are insane with TCB…sometimes reaching up to a year in processing. Then, I receive rejection notices that “the vendor has determined that your claim doesn’t qualify”. While this may appear the fault of the vendor I’ve bought from, I don’t have this same problem with the likes of Rakuten or Retail me Not. Finally, I will get several transaction to just get “declined”. No answer, no explanation…just declined. While it would be great to get 1-5% extra rebate as “promised” through TCB, what is the real savings when 30-60 of my transactions get declined for the savings that were promised? ### 1/5 — Unable to setup Venmo or bank details for cash out *2026-04-28, version 15.0.2* I keep trying to setup my bank info for cash out but it keep popping up security question which I had never setup on this up. I can’t cash out my money from the app due to this security pop up which I don’t setup and can’t find it on the app to setup/update that. ### 1/5 — Never able to login *2026-04-13, version 15.0.1* Worst application ever I make account got some cash back by purchasing through Walmart next day it stop working I never able to login in my account I set up my password multiple time through forgot password didn’t work. I have tried multiple times to use the top cash gift card app and it never works. It never processes for a gift card always says that something went wrong. I thought it was going to be great. They seemed to have the highest % of cash back at a large selection of retailers. I ended up getting maybe half of what I was supposed to get and that was with emailing and questioning over and over. Nothing came up like it was supposed to. I have had the app a very short time and I’m taking my losses, keeping my sanity and closing my account. It was one of the lowest earning cashback sites I’ve ever seen. Well, I gave it another chance and the first cashback offer I tried was that, of Coursera 10% 10.1% back. This was days ago. I went through their site I reduced privacy, etc. My earnings? Zilch. The prepaid cards don’t even work before it reaches the expiration date. Tried to check balance using 5 different methods and all of them said it was an invalid card. Not worth the time ### 1/5 — Cashing out *2026-06-15, version 15.0.6* This app will not let me cash out my funds ### 1/5 — Sketchy/Poor Communication *2026-05-30, version 15.0.4* I had downloaded the app because a video on TikTok popped up about a coupon for new users who downloaded, “TopCashback”. I followed the instructions and downloaded the app. The deal offered a $20 cash-back reward so I ordered the qualifying item. Around the 2nd day the $20 showed up as pending. The video had stated that it took about a week for you to be able to cash out the $20 so I waited. One night when I went to go check the app, I was logged out and no longer allowed to enter to view my account. At first I thought I had typed in the password wrong, so I reset my password. I recieved the email to reset the password and I did. I tried logging in again and it said “unable to login at this time”. At first I thought the app was having issues, but then I tried on safari and I was receiving the same error message. I then emailed customer support and they said they would pass it on to someone else and I have yet to receive a response. Not only was I having trouble but so was my sister who did the same cash back deal. I find it sketchy since I have yet to get help.
