## What is Toploader?

Toploader is the easiest way to track what you own and what you sold it for.

• Batch scan a whole stack at once

TRACK EVERY FLIP
• Log purchases, sales, fees, and shipping
• Net profit on every card and across your collection
• Flip summary on each card: bought, sold, held, profit

SPLIT CARDS WITH PARTNERS

• See everyone you're in with, what you hold across their cards and what they're holding for you
• Sell a split card and Toploader works out exactly what each side is owed

SEE THE BIG PICTURE
• Analytics for collection value and profit over time
• Home-screen widget with monthly P/L and inventory value
• CSV export whenever you want your data

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-08-30

Getting cards back from grading now takes seconds.

• Select your cards at Grading and tap Log Grades. Say what came back — 40 PSA 10, 40 PSA 9 — and each grade becomes its own line in your collection, with the grade added to the card's name.
• Enter the grading cost per card or as the whole invoice. What you originally paid is already recorded and carries across automatically, so the new cost per card is simply your cost plus grading.
• Partial returns are fine. Grade some now and the rest stay at Grading until they turn up.

Also fixed: the photo taken on the first card you added after opening the app is no longer lost on the way to the details screen.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-25

Adding a card now starts with the camera.

• Tap Add Card and the viewfinder opens straight away, with a card-shaped guide so you know exactly where to hold it. Photo library and "add without a photo" are both right there if you'd rather.
• A new More tab gathers everything that used to hide behind the profile icon — partners, sharing, export, help and account — so things stay where you left them.
• Card names now wrap while you edit instead of scrolling sideways, which makes fixing a long title far less fiddly.
• Tap any card from a partner's page to jump straight to it.
• Your subscription status is unmistakable now, rather than something you had to go looking for.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-23

Splitting a card is more flexible.

When you buy a card with someone else, you can now enter your stake either way — as the dollars you put in, or as a straight percentage. Pick whichever matches how the deal was actually struck. Toploader shows you the other figure as you type, so you can check it both ways before saving.

Percentage entry also works on cards you haven't priced. A 50/50 split is a 50/50 split whether or not you remember what it cost.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-18

Adding a card is now much faster.

• Only the card's name is required. Leave the cost blank if you don't know it — cataloguing cards you've owned for years no longer means inventing a purchase price.
• Save always responds and tells you what's missing, instead of sitting greyed out with no explanation.
• First launch gets you straight to adding a card rather than a four-page tour. The full walkthrough is still there under "How to Use Toploader".

Market value estimates are switched off for now. They were only finding real sold comps for a minority of cards, and a number that's usually missing is worse than no number at all. Everything else — scanning, cost basis, sales, profit, splits — is unchanged. We'd rather turn this back on when it's genuinely reliable.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-17

Split cards with a partner.

• Mark any card as split and enter what you actually put in — Toploader works out your percentage and counts only your share toward your cost basis, profit, and widget totals. The card's cost stays the full purchase price.

• Partners & Splits shows everyone you're in with, what you hold across their cards and what they're holding for you, sortable by name, equity or card count.

• Sell a split card and Toploader generates a settlement showing exactly what each side is owed, put in and made — ready to share.

• Track who is physically holding a card. If your partner keeps it at their place it stays in your inventory, because your equity didn't go anywhere. Filter your collection by where cards are.

Also in this update:
• Your subscription now follows your account instead of your device, so Premium is there when you sign in on a new phone.
• Dollar amounts format with commas as you type, and there's a Done button to dismiss the number pad.
