They have a terrible interface with terrible support. I created my account with no issues originally, made a deposit, verified my bank. Once my deposit cleared I was logged out of my account and wasn’t able to log back in. So I did what any person would, contact support. I was told my account was closed and politely told to screw off. I asked about the funds that were deposited into the account and how to withdraw and they said it’s not possible. Never had this experience with robinhood, webull, public where my account is closed without even making a trade. Not only do they charge a 10$ monthly fee for subpar information, they only give you 50 trades monthly before charging a $4.50 commission each trade. Stay away, there are soooooo many better options. ### 2/5 — Fix the app *2023-12-12, version 2.9.6* Takes like 30-40 seconds for a trade to get placed. Kind of a joke. When I report the issue they say to check with my isp. Lazy response. I stream Netflix just fine. After ending the trading screen, all buttons are not selectable and I have to force quit the app, I can’t even go back to the previous screen. Using iPhone 14 Pro Max. Contacted support, they had no answers. I’m not going to pay a subscription to an app that is useless when there are so many other better trading apps and brokers available. ### 1/5 — Subscription is Predatory *2023-06-16, version 2.9.0* The app immediately signs you up for a subscription as soon as you put bank information in it. It is then impossible to find where to cancel the subscription. Try literally any other investment app. This is not worth it for the sign up bonus or any kind of trading. ### 1/5 — Scam *2023-06-09, version 2.9.0* Absolute scam, hope you want to get hit with random fees and get your account closed for literally no reason. Finally got my account reopened only to find they charged me with $200 in “paper fees” and “membership fees” and I can no longer pull my remaining funds from my account. They charge you 3-4 times per month. Stole my money!! Avoid at all cost *2023-02-02* I started using this app almost a year ago. I deposited $100 and got a small $20 bonus. I knew that I would have to wait a year to cash out, which I don’t mind. However, a year is approaching, very soon. Guess what? They closed my account. No notice. No warning. No explanation. This company is NOT a legit company. Bunch of scam artists. Never seen worse robotic customer service. I’m assuming I’ll never see my money. Hoping this review prevents others from falling for this garbage. Don’t bother with their “Learn and Earn” scheme as they give you just enough “free” trades and just enough free money ($50.00) or so to get caught paying them back most of this in fees. Terrible rubbish! Now I’m stuck with an account I don’t want charging fees. ### 4/5 — Earning *2022-12-25, version 2.6.0* I have stopped earning anything for awhile. Is there a certain amount of time where you stop earning on the lessons? ### 3/5 — Legitimate Company/Mediocre app *2022-12-18* This app is thin on tools and the subscription price occasionally gets hiked up at random but the customer service is exceptional and the UI is very well made - easy to navigate. ANS THIS IS CERTAINLY NOT a scam. NVSTR/Tornado is a legitimate trading app and the company conducts business honestly. The year long hold on promotional funds is so people don't cash out without trying the app. Nearly every other investing app has a similar stipulation for promotional bonuses. There are a LOT of scammy companies with apps but this is a company you can trust. App is confusing, everything about it is confusing. After linking your bank, no choice to unlink it. So I had my account set up, didn’t do anything with it, and got charged 3.99 a month every month since then. But they took it out of the “promotional” credit they falsely give you. After about 12 months, they randomly pulled $400 out of my bank account, and when I contacted them “it’ll be 14 days before those funds can be sent back to your account”. No notice of them pulling or anything. 14 days later, only $341 was available to pull back out, and the other $59 disappeared. When asked, “all funds are available” I requested to close my account, no response. I requested again, “please close any open trades”. I’ve never traded on this app. Flash another year, I just got charged $10 for my monthly account fee, and they took they directly from my back account. Again, no notice. When I contacted them, this morning “every account is automatically charged $10 for trading” Then why was it $4 before? Sketchy app. And they won’t refund my $10, but I finally got my account t closed. Terrible app. It had so many technical issues, to the point that I cant log in and manage my account. Do not download. As of Oct 7, I have not received dividends that were paid out at the end of September. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2024-09-28, version 3.0.1* This app is so buggy, support says to make it work, you have to restart your phone and exit out the app. What kind of response is that? Have an issue almost every day and now they are starting to limit what type of stock you can purchase. I can’t even exit my trades without having to contact support who has to escalate up in order to close out some purchases. They make you pay $4.99 to $9.99 a month for commission free trades. Overall, a waste of time if the app isn’t even working most of the time. Here’s the kicker if the app isn’t working, logging in from the website you get the same error code. Avoid wasting your time and energy. Oh if you bother with doing the Learn & Earn rewards, you can’t withdraw unless you hit 1 Year. Bonus award also takes like 3 months to withdraw. ### 1/5 — Too many bugs *2024-09-22, version 3.0.1* App continuously goes back to sign-in screen after you’ve signed in. Can’t link bank account to app - keep getting errors. ### 1/5 — Incredibly expensive monthlyfees/commission fees *2024-09-06* This app has major technical Issues. Half the time I can’t even access my account and when I do actually get in, most of the time the functions of the app don’t even work or are painfully slow and freeze up. Everybody else I know that ises this app say the same thing so I know it’s not my device. Also, If you want to lose a lot of your profits to monthly fees and commission fees, this is the trading app to use. With the enormous amount of trading apps that are totally free and great platforms, I can’t believe this app/trading platform even has users anymore. Absolutely horrible. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and hope to have the opportunity to turn your experience around. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE THIS App!!!! *2024-07-20* If you were a beginner or even a novice at investing in stocks to train stocks, I highly suggest not downloading this app. They use a ploy for “ free money” but you cannot cancel your account for over a certain amount of months and they charge you six dollars every single time earning the free amount of money will not be worth it. This is more of an advanced platform. It is not good for beginners. You will lose money. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually suggest Robinhood over this app. I attempted to close my account months ago and they denied it because of the free money not clearing. So I lost even more money because the app kept charging me monthly service fees and did not return anything per their policy. Users beware and beginners to stop trading platforms please keep in mind that you can learn for free on Weibo through paper, trading and practice before you actually start losing your real money.
