The alerts are extremely useful and work well for both NOAA and user sightings. This app is worth much more than $1.99. I recommend this to anyone who lives in a Tornado 'Hot' Zone or who has an interest in tracking tornadoes. This app has great user support as well. I saw sightings on tornado spy 2.4. 15 minutes after I saw it on a national 24 hour news channel! Even after the recent tornado outbreaks, the sightings that come up are very scarce. About 95 percent of the sightings that show are from the NWS, something anyone could easily look up on the Internet. I'm a little miffed I paid for it because it has literally provided me with nothing. Maybe it's a good app, I don't know... but ask yourself this: would you use facebook if no one was posting on it, and you had to pay to subscribe? If I were the creaters of this app I would open the thing up for free for the first year and grow your group of storm chasers and content-adders on here, and then after things are established start charging for it. Some of the information is very helpful; however, the app has always been clunky to use with views of the map too obstructed by buttons. There are much better apps for weather radar and weather radio. This app runs slow and the developers have not updated it for several iOS versions. ### 2/5 — Probably won't work if u report a sighting *2011-04-19, version 1.6* I tried to report a tornado that was going through my county in Missouri (even took a picture of the later confirmed tornado) and it told me reporting is only allowed if one is registered and that the warning would not be published.
