## What is Tornante?

Tornante is a rally co-driver for the open road. Pick a mountain road or draw a route, and Tornante reads the road's real geometry and elevation to generate professional-style pacenotes — "left 4 tightens 3, don't cut... into right 5 over crest" — then calls them aloud, timed to your speed, so every corner is announced before you see it.

Built for enthusiast drivers who love a great road. Tornante is audio-first: it doesn't control your car and never asks you to look at the screen, with a clean, glanceable heads-up display if you want one.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
• Real road geometry, not a simplified map line — so tight corners and hairpins aren't dropped or softened.
• Deterministic and editable — the same road always produces the same notes, and you can fine-tune any call to your taste.
• A real human co-driver voice, not a robotic readout.
• Private by design — your location is processed entirely on your phone and never leaves it. No account, no analytics, no tracking.

FEATURES
• Automatic pacenotes for any road or route
• Corner grading 1–6, plus hairpins, squares, crests and roundabouts
• Speed-aware call timing that stays right on tight, linked corners
• Full-screen rally HUD with severity glyphs
• Import GPX routes, or pick start / finish / waypoints on the map
• Demo mode — hear a whole stage at your desk before you drive
• Works fully offline while you drive

SAFETY
Tornante is a driving aid for preparation and enjoyment — not a safety device, not a navigation system, and not a substitute for your own attention and judgment. Calls are computer-generated estimates and can be wrong, late, or missing. Always drive within your own limits, the law, and the actual road conditions; keep your eyes on the road; and never operate the phone while driving. Not for racing or timing on public roads.

Roads, read aloud. Enjoy the drive.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-08-08

Sharper road reading. Tornante now follows the road's real path more closely, so corners are placed and called where they actually are.

A better co-driver. The voice is clearer and more natural to listen to over a long stage.

Plus a round of bug fixes across the app.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-05

No release notes.
