Tornante is a rally co-driver for the open road. Pick a mountain road or draw a route, and Tornante reads the road's real geometry and elevation to generate professional-style pacenotes, then calls them aloud, timed to your speed, so every corner is announced before you see it. "150, left 4 and hairpin right." Built for enthusiast drivers who love a great road. Tornante is audio-first: it doesn't control your car and never asks you to look at the screen, with a clean, glanceable heads-up display if you want one. NOW WITH CARPLAY Your saved stages appear on the car screen. The next corner, its severity and the distance to it sit on the map, and the map turns with the car. CIRCUIT MODE (BETA) Six circuits are built in: Mugello, Monza, Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring GP and the Nordschleife. The same co-driver, the same calls, with a clock behind them. Press START once and the lap timer arms itself the first time you cross the start/finish line, and every crossing after that ends a lap and starts the next. Sector splits go to the run log instead of into your eyeline mid-corner, your best lap on each circuit stays on the phone, and the co-driver reads your lap time aloud as you cross the line. PRIVACY No account, no ads, no tracking. Building a stage sends the points you tap to the routing and elevation services so the route can be computed. While you drive, everything runs on your phone and nothing is transmitted. SAFETY Tornante is a driving aid for preparation and enjoyment. It is not a safety device, not a navigation system, and not a substitute for your own attention and judgment. Calls are computer-generated estimates and can be wrong, late, or missing. It is marked BETA in the app and here, because a lap clock earns its trust on a real track day and this one has not had one yet. Nothing on the road side changed to make room for it. If a lap or a call reads wrong on track, email us the run log from Settings and we will look at that drive. MI now means MI everywhere. Set MI and every number you read at speed follows: the corner countdown, STARTING IN, the car screen, the stage cards and the speed. Short call distances read in yards, so the braking marks you have learned still transfer, and climb reads in feet. Any run log, sent in one tap. A log can now be emailed to us with the file attached and your app and phone details already filled in, and the screen says plainly what a log holds before you send it. A clearer OFF STAGE screen. It used to draw a fork in the road, which reads as a call about a junction ahead. It now draws the stage road carrying on while your own track breaks away from it. The SIMPLE notation option has come out of Settings. It changed what the co-driver said but not what the screen showed, so a corner could be called one way and drawn another. Every call is back to the rally 1 to 6 scale. A louder co-driver, and every language at the same level. The recordings were never matched to each other, so some calls and some languages played far quieter than the rest. There is a Co-driver level slider in Settings now, and a choice of how the calls reach your car: NAVIGATION, which the car mixes over your music, or MUSIC, which sends them through the stereo so the car's own volume knob works on them. The car is back on the CarPlay map. The moving dot had stopped appearing, which also broke the locate button. Locate now snaps to the car at a driving zoom, the corner card is bigger and reads at a glance on a small head unit, and the car sits on the road instead of beside it. Plus a round of fixes across the app. ### 1.2 — 2026-08-27 CarPlay. Your stages on the car screen, with the next corner, its severity and the distance to it. The map turns with the car, and the locate button brings you straight back to it. Eight languages. Croatian, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Slovenian and Spanish. The app language and the co-driver voice are set separately, so you can read one and be called in another. Better company on a stage. Music dips only while a call is spoken and comes back in between. There is a countdown to the start line. If you leave the route the co-driver says so, and picks up again when you rejoin. Sharper calls. Roundabouts are called by their exit alone, and tight corner pairs and hard junction corners are each called for what they are. Plus a round of fixes across the app: corner severity appears as soon as the route is found, pick-on-map opens near you and flies straight to your position, and "System" language follows your phone again. ### 1.1 — 2026-08-08 Sharper road reading. Tornante now follows the road's real path more closely, so corners are placed and called where they actually are. A better co-driver. The voice is clearer and more natural to listen to over a long stage.
