## Newest reviews (13 of 38)

### 1/5 — No support

*2017-09-17, version 1.7*

Trying to get a bike. Won't ready credit card. Tried three. Called, no one picks up phone. App is horrible.

### 1/5 — App sucks!

*2017-08-12, version 1.7*

Not user friendly and pretty useless! Why would you use this is you have transit which is a lot more complete?

### 1/5 — Zero

*2017-07-21, version 1.6.1*

The worst service the worst app I've ever seen. Can walk home faster than use this service because the app is so inaccurate

### 1/5 — Complete and utter garbage

*2017-05-03, version 1.4*

Should be removed from the app store

### 1/5 — Location settings are all wrong

*2016-10-19, version 1.4*

The company needs to add a location option that only uses the location while using the app. Otherwise it eats up my battery.

### 1/5 — Needs location even while not using the app

*2016-08-22, version 1.4*

Why would this be a setting? The app does it need my location and less I'm using the app but it insists on it otherwise the app will not function. This will drain your battery and it's unnecessarily invasive so I'm not going to be using this app until they change this.

### 1/5 — Not the official app

*2015-09-14, version 1.4*

Use spot cycle.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2015-04-18, version 1.4*

Almost useless. The ads you are running at bottom are covering the station info. I mean did you even test it once? Just give me the damn map.

### 1/5 — Useless for docking station status

*2014-12-09, version 1.4*

[UPDATED 12.05.14] the app now has advertisements that now completely cover the station dock and bike status at the bottom of the map. The only work around is to click on the ad and then immediately hit cancel to take you back to the map. Ridiculous. Also, when you click on a particular station on the map, after a few seconds the app takes you back to your current location so careful while riding a bike as you will have to go through the 4 step process of relocating that destination on the map, clicking, etc to get the dock status - all while avoiding becoming roadkill.
This app still has no favourite station selection for easy access for bikers who might need to check on whether that last open dock is taken at say Union Station where there is never enough docks (are you listening Toronto?). Push notifications when a favourite station is full or empty would also be extremely useful for those on the go and need to plan alternative docking stations.

### 1/5 — Bad Ad Placement

*2014-11-17, version 1.4*

The placement of ads at the bottom of the screen completely blocks the number of bikes and available docks at a station. This is extremely annoying when you are rushing to a station that you earlier knew only had two available docks and you are trying to catch a train at Union Station. For this reason alone, I am deleting this app and going back to using another one that is ad-free.

Giving a one-star rating because you can't give a zero.

### 2/5 — Having no offline feature kills this app for tourists

*2014-09-02*

The bike scheme is awesome, and being able to use the app is essential to find bays - which are often tucked away.

There is no facility to view the map whilst offline which is an unbelievable pain to tourists - it's up to $3 to check where the nearest docking station is.

Cities like London have the same scheme and do offer the offline map so with just a bit of tweaking Toronto could have an awesome bike scheme that is friendly for tourists and locals alike...

Unlike cities like London that

### 1/5 — Data frequently incorrect

*2014-08-11, version 1.4*

I use the app to identify stations with available bikes and racks. The app consistently has incorrect data about the number of racks, causing me to waste time in real life hunting down available racks. I will change to 5 stars when this is fixed.

### 2/5 — Very limited

*2014-07-28, version 1.4*

Bixi was what TO used to use for having organized bikes here and now its a load of crap, Bixi did a great job for organizing everything and a better mobile app to log in to, but now its just TO trying to do it themselves and doing a terrible job at it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-12-19, version 1.7*

The app would just shut down every time I opened it. Seems like a scam.

### 1/5 — Horrible application

*2022-08-19, version 1.7*

Application lagged, you should re start application all the times. Not user friendly

### 1/5 — Scam - do not download

### 1/5 — The worst!!

*2020-05-16, version 1.7*

Wtf?

### 1/5 — Pathetic

*2019-08-14, version 1.7*

I press the remove ads button it suddenly switched to payment. I dont even seen the price. However, even after the payment the ads are still there. Great job.

### 1/5 — 0 star rating.

*2019-06-14, version 1.7*

Totally failure. It’s just ridiculous, the app crashes after just a few seconds and I tried with two different terminals for multiple times. I don’t even know how to check my membership. Stay away.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2019-06-07, version 1.7*

This app is the worst I’ve ever used. Totally useless. Will be hard to use my membership with this garbage. Would give 0 if it were possible

### 1/5 — THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL BIKE SHARE APP

*2019-06-07, version 1.7*

This is just a navigator app that has in-app ads that you have to pay to turn off. Thing has a couple features but it’s otherwise useless. Don’t download it.

### 1/5 — Ads

*2019-05-10, version 1.7*

Why does an app for a paid service have ads. Pretty horrible decision.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2019-04-13, version 1.7*

a very bad app for such an important service. Slow, closes down constantly, not intuitive. Come on City Transit!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Tulsa OK visitor blown away

*2017-07-06, version 1.4*

OMG what an awesome way to bounce from bike station to station, take a quick walking tour at each stop, hit a pub, a park, the museum. Helps you nail it EASILY to get a -0- charge for the day!!! Loved, loved it.

### 5/5 — Slickest Bike Share App

*2014-07-29, version 1.4*

This thing is fast, pretty, and easy to use. Best one out there.

### 5/5 — Awesome streamlined interface

*2014-07-27, version 1.4*

Toronto Bikes really makes finding the few closest docks super easy… especially when using one handed on a bike.

### 5/5 — Points me to bikes

*2014-07-14, version 1.3.3*

Helps me find a bike. It's been very accurate for me. No issues.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2014-07-08, version 1.3.3*

Works as described and had better user experience that I had expected. Great work!

### 5/5 — Great Job!

*2014-05-14, version 1.3.3*

Really nice UI! Easy to use.

### 3/5 — Good app but one big problem

*2016-03-12, version 1.4*

App works great if you want to know if there's a bike available next to you, but it doesn't allow me to see if a bike dock is open where I'm biking to if its not close.

The app would be terrific if it had the option to use my location "while using the app" but it requires my location "always". This kills my battery, this needs to change.

### 3/5 — Integrate with Toronto Bike Map?

*2014-08-19, version 1.4*

This app provides great info on the bike sharing system. But what is missing for the occasional user are the recommended routes to get from one station to another. Is there any way to integrate it with the bikeways map so that when I click on a destination it will give me a suggested route? Construction detours would also be helpful :)

### 3/5 — Calibration again?

*2014-06-06, version 1.3.3*

The only GPS enabled app that is constantly nagging me to recalibrate.

### 2/5 — Location always on

*2015-08-26, version 1.4*

Good app but why does the app need to have the 'location service' always on in the background even when not using the app? All the other apps do it. It drains the battery.
