## What is Torva?

After your first logged week, you already know how many sets and reps to do in the gym and what weight to lift. No more guessing when to add weight: the adaptive engine recalculates your load after every workout, and Milon, your AI coach, explains why it is set that way.

Your readiness to train is assessed by modern, evidence-based algorithms. They weigh many signals from your watch and fitness tracker through Apple Health and compare them with your personal norm.

Milon knows far more about your training than a generic AI chat: he follows your progress, nutrition and recovery and knows the exercises, so his answers are more precise.

Torva brings everything a person who does sports needs into one app: training, nutrition, recovery, a community and monthly activity challenges. It is the most thoughtful calorie and recovery tracker for people who do sports. In the September challenge, 74 people walked 7.6 million steps together and rode more than 1,800 km by bike.

TRAINING WITH AUTO-PROGRESSION
• Training blocks from 4 weeks, up to 8 with PRO: the load builds to a peak week, and the last week is light so you recover before the next block
• If fatigue builds up and you do fewer reps, the weight goes down
• Weekly volume per muscle and set history for every exercise
• Joint-pain swaps and custom exercises

RECOVERY, EVERY MORNING
• A clear answer instead of a pile of numbers: train hard, ease off or rest
• If your recovery stays below your norm for several days, Torva suggests it is time for a break
• Apple Health sync in both directions
• Body weight as a trend, measurements and progress photos

MILON, YOUR AI COACH (PRO)
Why did your deadlift weight go up? Enough protein? Should you rest today? Milon answers from your training, nutrition and recovery. The adaptive engine calculates the load, and Milon explains it and gives advice.
• Type your question or dictate it by voice
• Log food from a description or a photo: Milon suggests foods and portions, and you check them before they go into your diary

A CALORIE TARGET THAT ACCOUNTS FOR YOU
• Calorie and macro diary with a barcode scanner
• Save your regular meals and log them in one tap
• A calorie target for your goal: losing weight, gaining muscle or maintaining. You can eat more on the days you choose
• Once a week Torva compares what you eat with how your weight changes and suggests calories and macros for the next week. You decide whether to accept the new target or keep the current one

COMMUNITY AND CHALLENGES
The gym, a walk, a ride, a hike, a run or a swim. Save any activity, share photos, video and your route, follow your friends.
• Comments, reactions and direct messages
• Keep an activity to yourself or post it: your choice
• Monthly activity challenges: points, leaderboards and achievements

BUILT FOR THE PHONE YOU TRAIN WITH
• Live Activity and a widget for the workout in progress
• A guide that explains mesocycles, reps in reserve (RIR), progressive overload, deloads and volume: the reasoning behind every number in the app

PRO includes the chat with Milon and food logging with his help, training blocks up to 8 weeks, unlimited mesocycles, program sharing, heart rate zones, video in the feed and more. See the app for the current list and terms.

The readiness score helps you plan your training and is not a medical assessment.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.37.0 — 2026-10-15

• A new exercise catalog: search and filters work like in the exercise picker, with sections by muscle. The exercise card shows three key numbers, video, pinned notes and your history by mesocycle with the best 1RM
• Take a photo of the label when a barcode isn't in the database: the name and macros fill in from the photo (PRO)
• Dictate to Milon in the language you choose: English, Russian, Ukrainian or Polish. Change it in Settings, under Language
• The calorie target changes only at the check-in, in smooth steps and never against your weight trend. Body weight is calculated the same way at the check-in, in Progress and on the coach's screens
• Week 1 of a new mesocycle fills in the assistance and added weight for bodyweight exercises
• Group info opens as its own screen, and an event's participant list loads more as you scroll
• Offline, the app shows the "No connection to the server" page instead of a frozen splash. The Live Activity no longer rolls back after you log a set from the lock screen

### 1.36.0 — 2026-10-13

• Milon builds training programs: he asks a few questions or takes your own description, puts a mesocycle together from Torva's exercises and sends a card you can open, check and plan. He can also suggest a ready template or compose a one-off workout (PRO)
• The mesocycle builder, the plan board and the exercise picker have a new design. You can view the plan board in landscape
• Send a video up to 30 seconds long, together with photos, in direct messages, groups and event chats (PRO)
• New Statistics, Compare and exercise screens: switch the period with one tap, swipe between tabs, and see heart rate zones, activity and your habits by day of the week
• Nutrition: search in My dishes, set the weight of each ingredient when you log a dish, and a Notifications screen with categories, history and undo for any decision. The water goal now changes on its own, even in Coach mode
• Recovery opens with two tiles, Readiness and Sleep, and each one opens with a tap. A sleep counts for the day you wake up, so a long daytime nap no longer moves to tomorrow
• New standalone workout and workout import screens: the route is now the card's cover, and workouts you already added are dimmed
• The Share window and the muscle figures open without waiting. PRO screens now show a Free and PRO comparison table

### 1.35.0 — 2026-10-10

• Energy balance shows one number everywhere: on the tile, on the expenditure chart and in the diary summary. Right after the first calibration the weekly and monthly balance is exact, without the «~» sign
• If you logged noticeably less than you usually eat on a day, that day is left out of the energy balance and a question appears in Notifications on the Nutrition screen. Answer «Yes, the whole day» and the day counts again
• Milon answers questions about your training more accurately and faster: it looks up the right workout, an exercise's history, your mesocycle and your personal records on its own
• Sign-up now has «Have an invite code?»: paste your friend's link or code and the invite counts. If you already signed up without a code, this line stays on the Invite friends screen for a week
• In Messages you can paste a photo from the clipboard
• Screens slide with rounded corners, like the iPhone itself, when you open them and when you swipe back. The hint and the Back to search button in the barcode scanner are now easy to read over the camera

### 1.33.0 — 2026-10-08

• Onboarding starts with your experience: the program quiz asks for your level first and then shows only the days and gym setups that have a program for it. You pick your gender by tapping a figure and your focus by the muscles on your own figure, and the female figure on the muscle map has a new look
• The weight chart in Progress, on the Body tab, switches between the trend and your weigh-ins. In the weigh-ins view, Average and Change are calculated from the weigh-ins themselves
• Energy balance: the expenditure chart no longer collapses to a dot after calibration, and a preliminary estimate is shown until the first exact calculation. Fat loss now follows your weight trend, and if a new measurement is far off the previous one, the app asks you to check it
• If your watch sent no calories for a workout, or clearly too few, Torva estimates them from your heart rate and marks them with «≈». The Apple Health data unavailable message now clears on its own, without restarting the app
• Milon opens as a sheet from the bottom, and its icon shows a dot and a count when there is something new
• A new look for Invite friends, Wallet, Store, Badges, support, people search, the likes list, notes and the photo picker. On the My dishes tab in Add food you can build a new dish even when you already have some

### 1.32.0 — 2026-10-06

• Training level when you create a mesocycle: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. It sets the volume of the first week: up to 2 sets per exercise for a beginner, up to 3 for intermediate, up to 4 for advanced
• A new What affects readiness screen shows, from your own data over 60 days, how sleep, steps, bedtime, strength workouts and late workouts relate to your readiness. On iOS 27 with Apple Watch Series 12 or Ultra 4, readiness is calculated from Recovery HRV once 14 nights of it are recorded
• The Milon chat now looks like a chat with people. In a workout, the bar with time, tonnage and sets spans the full width of the screen, and when your next set scrolls out of view it appears under the bar: a tap scrolls back to it
• In events you can open any participant from the leaderboard and see which entries earned their points
• A new look for program templates and the guide, the completed mesocycle post, the nutrition screens, the sleep calendar and Apple Health workouts. The Add food tabs switch with a swipe, and the weekly check-in counts only days with a complete food log and holds your target while your expenditure is still being estimated
• Account security: an email change confirmed through the new address, a list of devices you are signed in on, linking Google and Apple, and a password for an account created with them. The app no longer hangs on a black screen at launch on a slow network
