I want to know where I’m at in progress with my driving like my strengths and weaknesses but I canttt cuz it doesn’t workkk. Needs fixing ASAP so pleaseeeee fix it ### 2/5 — Broken *2025-01-14, version 4.0.12* Total drive is great, couldn’t do the job without it. BUT it’s BROKEN. All the little faults, things that used to work but now don’t. I’ve reported many problems but nothing gets fixed. I’ve made suggestions on features to make them better but it never happens. I don’t know why they don’t fix it when it breaks but they don’t. ### 1/5 — App is more down than it actually works *2024-07-23* Used to be the best app years ago. Added all kind of unnecessary bits to the app which slows it down, makes it not working properly. Getting no access to my diary, no notifications, nothing works & still get charged for 2 driving instructors. I was huge fan of TD but unfortunately all the new add ons destroyed the app. It’s being greedy and asking for extra money for all kind of extra services, however the app doesn’t work well. It should work before you charge extras & increasing the monthly fee. Looking for a new app to manage my diary and day to day operations as TD doesn’t let me to do it no more. ### 1/5 — Total Drive App & Bill Plant Driving School: A Cautionary Tale *2024-07-15* I booked and paid for a lesson through Bill Plant, then downloaded this app as instructed. I entered my availability, but never received confirmation or further communication. The app showed a confirmed booking, but the instructor never arrived. Attempts to contact the instructor through the app and by phone were unsuccessful. Bill Plant's customer service was unhelpful, promising to investigate but never following up. Their refund line is always closed, and emails go unanswered. They falsely claimed the instructor went to my address and refused a refund. I have proof they lied, but they ignore my messages. This app is clearly connected to a shady business. Avoid it and Bill Plant Driving School at all costs. ### 5/5 — The best app an instructor could have!! *2024-06-25, version 4.0.8* The time I save by using this app is unreal. Love how clearly it’s laid out for everyone. The fact the learners and their parents can view it at their leisure is priceless. I love the payments feature too. Also the developers work with the instructors to continuously improve the app. I’d be lost without it. ### 3/5 — It's the best out there! *2024-06-08* This is good software that could be great software. The availability to allow pupils to book lessons in certain areas on certain days allows you to work smart, you can post gaps and the pupils get notifications thus helping you to fill the diary, It will even sync with your personal diary of choice. What it's missing! When syncing the diary it only shows you the name not the area when posting gaps it lets any of your pupils book even if they are not in that area The book online tab is halfway down the page and pupils find it hard to find Booking online asks for all the pupil details every time they book dépité them being booked in. when choosing Pupils from a list for gaps it only allows you to pick from active pupils it would be nice to be able to also pick pupils from your waiting list. ### 4/5 — Super handy *2024-02-28, version 4.0.6* As a student this app was very helpful. I was asked to download by my instructor as it was how he operated and throughout my history as a learner driver it reminded me of all my lessons and allowed me to double check times without bothering my instructor as he would often be on lessons. Does load a little slow sometimes though. ### 4/5 — Nice and Simple *2024-02-21, version 4.0.6* App is nice and simple to use. However, I would like to share some of my observations while using this app. 1. Whatever payments are done, if we are able to export a receipt of the same in the app... it would be if great help. 2. Also, at times, I see notification count on the app icon. When I open the app, I don’t see the alert related info anywhere… bot sure when the icon keeps showing up then !! Looking forward to see these improvements in the app soon. ### 5/5 — Best app out there at the moment. *2024-02-16* Been using this app now for almost 18 months, fantastic app and only got better with most of the updates. Love being able to keep all of my information in one place, and the doodle pad is amazing to explain complex situations to students slight hiccup recently with my personal calendar, synchronising with the app on my telephone(iPhone 15 pro), but other than that can’t force it and can always get that information from my iPad. Anyway, spoken to the guy several times and have had a promise that this will be fixed in the next update which I have no reason to expect, otherwise with the support that I’ve had from them so far. ### 1/5 — It needs fixing *2024-01-19, version 4.0.5* The app keeps hanging and doesn’t record scores properly . And the UI is also not user friendly it takes a good few minutes to understand what to do and where to go. The worse feature is when you buy bulk hours and then pay for lessons using those hours at the bottom it shows no of hires left but on top there it should actually show in highlights how many hits left it combines all of the hours that you’ve bought. It’s an amazing feature to see how many hours you’ve done with your instructor but that should be somewhere separate. The biggest rip off is service charge. ### 1/5 — Why was my account deleted? *2026-02-19, version 4.0.20* I’ve tried to access the account and this came up: “In line with GDPR regulations your Total Drive account has been closed and your record deleted. For this reason you will be unable to login again.” It’s unclear why my account was deleted. This app is where I keep my driving log. Can you recover my details? ### 1/5 — Full of Bugs *2026-02-08, version 4.0.19* Unreliable and full of bugs, with the new update on iOS, it’s all over the place again. An app which lingers and never feels a complete. ### 1/5 — Always problems *2026-02-01, version 4.0.18* Always problems when there’s an app update ### 1/5 — Total ripoff *2025-09-14* I booked an instructor and he called me and confirmed with me that on my driving test date he would take, after a week the instructor sent me a text with the weirdest excuse ever. Mr Mohamed Khizar Ali (the name of the instructor) told me that due to him working as an ambulance driver they put down a shift for him on the same time my test is so he cannot take me. Other than the fact that it’s not legit to have two full time jobs, this company just wants you to rebook a test “with them” so they can charge you more. And when its close to your test date they let you down so that you have nothing else to do other than stay with them ### 1/5 — Very unprofessional *2025-06-05, version 4.0.13* Never book lesson with him he wants money in advance. The way he speak is rudely. ### 1/5 — Total - Ripoff *2025-05-16* So they take on candidates who have already booked a date for the test. During the lesson they would appreciate and acknowledge that although some works needs to be done but you shall be ready for the test. Guess what, just a week before the test they would act that you don’t know the basics of driving and that they cannot offer the car for the test. Either postpone the test and take super expensive lessons from them £90 for 1.5 hrs minimum 15-20 classes extra or just arrange a different instructor. Leaving you stranded. My instructor’s name was Sharon and she seemed super sweet but she turned out to be a total ripoff ### 1/5 — No Privacy *2024-08-31, version 4.0.11* They share your info and your diary info with third party companies. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — A great way for tracking progress! *2026-06-08, version 4.0.23* I use this with my driving instructor and I find it so useful as a student! The tracking system is so helpful for letting me know where I’m at and the lesson gap feature is so useful! I have nothing negative to say about this app currently! I just passed my driving test, and I couldn’t have done it without this instructor! The lessons were clear, calm, and super supportive. They explained everything in a way that made driving feel easy and enjoyable, even when I was nervous. Thanks to their patience and great teaching style, I gained confidence and learned skills that actually stick. I was with an NEPALI instructor , I don’t want to reveal his name .It’s waste of going with him, until I asks him to teach ., he won’t be saying anything. It’s waste of going with him. Pls,, not to waste your money . ### 5/5 — People are dumb. *2025-07-21* I’ve been using Total Drive for about four years now, it’s super simple to use and offers the chance for students to leave their own assessments of how they’re getting on. It has been down a couple of times now has been a few niggles but it’s worked pretty flawlessly for the last year. We have multiple instructors using the app and none of us have really had a problem with it. Anyone that leaves a review blaming this app for their instructors not getting back to them or taking them to test are idiots. ### 5/5 — Best App *2025-03-31, version 4.0.13* Best app to maintain your diary, tailored by your school logo and terms and condition means this app represents your school app towards your clients. Thank you to Total Drive team from Driving School Automatic. ### 5/5 — Fantastic App for ADI’s *2024-10-12* This app has been a game changer for me in how I manage my pupils. At first I was dubious, but after a few months of use I could see how much potential was there in my daily planning. Easy to use, easy on the eye and very customisable. It’s crammed with features and is very detailed. I don’t use all the features, but love the ones I do use. I’ve saved so much time filling gaps which was the game changer. There’s only 2 things I wish developers could look at, make cancellation charge customisable so I can charge a discretionary amount if I choose.
