They don’t tell the users who are the recipients of gross inaccuracies in their sketch. If it was reliable, it’d be the best! ### 2/5 — It doesn’t add up the sketch calculations accurately with lidar. *2025-06-06, version 10003.3.0* When I calculate the square feet using LiDAR I always get the wrong calculations. It’s usually off three or 4 feet. I would measure it with the ladder and then re-create the sketch manually and the square feet is always off. I believe it doesn’t round the LiDAR calculations accurately. ### 4/5 — Laggy Section Switching *2025-03-29, version 10003.3.0* Navigating between sections (e.g., Note, Photo, Sketch) is very laggy, especially when switching to the Note section. ### 3/5 — Update - downgraded due to bugs *2024-09-21, version 10003.2.0* The sketch part of the app has been buggy for months. I’ve had to stop adding any pool icons to my sketch while in the field. About 75% of the time, when I do, the entire sketch ends up lost. When I try to recover, the app crashes. I have to go back to a version prior to the pool icon and re-do all the work I did after. I suppose that is simple enough work around, but now the trace mode is super buggy as well. Why am I paying extra to have trace mode when it doesn’t even work properly? It started closing itself out any time in tracing over two areas at once. For instance, a line that is the boarder of living space and a patio. It’ll just auto-exit trace mode and close out the area. I have to move the patio way out of the way and try again. I shouldn’t have to do that. It’s called TRACE mode for a reason. Also, about 70-80% of the time, if I tap “undo” while on trace mode, it exits trace mode. Super duper buggy. It crashes sometimes, but my sketch is usually back together or only one measurement is missing when I reopen. Do you guys seriously not even care? Time to create a new appraisal software and give some competition! Come on! I'm in the field trying to use this app after they "fix" issues now when I try to take pictures the app closes. NOW the sketch is having glitches left and right. ### 1/5 — Can it get worse? (Don’t answer that) *2020-04-23, version 2020.4.2* What do you expect when you toggle through fields in the form and enter data? Should it stay the same when you go on to other fields? Does it? Nope. Ever since corelogic took over, the app has gotten more data heavy and things that used to work perfectly now are broken. When other apps do updates bragging about how they reduced file size, it can’t be that hard. I know the app owner is reading this laughing about how they have appraisers bent over a barrel but please, all you’re doing is hurting your credibility. I’m waiting for some smart tech kid to make what we have all been begging for for years and been ignored on. I would pay double for a program that did what I wanted and was stable and didn’t cost me hours with tech support. I should send a bill. Every suggestion made to tech support is supposedly logged and the comment most often heard is, oh yeah, a lot of people want that. Well..........? ### 1/5 — Poor business decisions. *2020-03-25, version 2020.3.2* If you are asking why the app has been buggy, it’s because they want you to have problems and call customer service. They want silver members to call after hours, which is ridiculously early if you are on the west coast. They charge you $35. These problems and wipes are very easy to fix if you know where to look. But it’s hidden. This is done so they can hire low level tech service people who can “fix” issues, but all they know is where to look. This is a predatory way of business and the culture at alamode has changed durastically. Unfortunately no one is building a proper app for an industry which is slowly dying. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App crashes constantly *2026-06-15, version 10004.3.2* App crashes constantly and sketches disappear. Apparently this has been going on for years, per other reviews. I agree with the reviewer who suggested they won’t fix the bugs because they want us to upgrade to silver for support. Not thanks. Eventually someone else will make a program that is better and total will lose their clients to the greed. ### 1/5 — Use another software brand *2026-03-06, version 10004.2.0* I’ve been an appraiser for many years and recently tried to renew my TOTAL membership with a la mode. Unfortunately, the pricing model seems completely disconnected from the reality many independent appraisers are facing today. I completed only a handful of appraisals this past year, yet the renewal price remains essentially the same as if I were running a full-time appraisal business. For low-volume or part-time appraisers, the cost of software plus required E&O insurance can easily exceed the income generated from a small number of reports. That makes the platform difficult to justify financially. I contacted support and asked about loyalty or low-volume discounts, but none were available. It’s disappointing because many professionals in this industry are working fewer assignments than in past years, and flexible pricing tiers would make a big difference. The software itself is capable and widely used, but the pricing structure does not seem to reflect the changing conditions of the appraisal profession. A more affordable low-volume tier for independent appraisers would go a long way toward maintaining goodwill with longtime users. ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2025-04-18, version 10003.3.0* The sketch crashes all the time. Drawing porches or patios that attach to the main sketch causes the sketch to crash 50% of the time. Total Mobile was great for years but is just unreliable now! ### 1/5 — Split screen functionality on iPad *2023-07-28, version 2022.11.1* Software worked great, but now with new update they removed the most useful ability to split the screen with my workfile app. Please put this functionality back into the software. ### 1/5 — Beware *2023-07-13, version 2022.11.1* Corelogic is the worst thing to happen to this company. Every thing they try to improve gets worse. This app will cause your field time to increase due to time spent trying to solve issues at customer’s properties. This was a great company prior to corelogic screwing things up. They’ve fallen so far from the days when it was a clear choice over ACI. After the most recent update it crashes constantly and adding 10-15 minutes an inspection because of it. They should roll back the app to a version that actually works. ### 1/5 — This App used to be the bomb prior to CoreLogic *2020-06-30, version 2020.6.3* This app crashes constantly and won’t load the reports because it appears to rely heavily on the internet to even reopen a crashed report. This is a horrible feature, because you don’t always have cell or Internet access when you’re out in the field. If you are in the hills or even in areas far from cell towers, pray it doesn’t crash. The version of this app prior to CoreLogic taking over was not so heavily reliant on the Internet for its basic functions, such as re-opening a crashed file. If you guys are reading this please do something so that the app caches report files in the field instead of having to pull them from the cloud. The lidar based measuring eliminates the need for tape measures and lasers entirely! It is very accurate and one can sketch, take photos, add labels, and all attributes right from field. Then they are uploaded to the cloud and waiting for me to finish when I get back to the office. I was able to eliminate staff and more than paid for itself. I was a hard skeptic but this is truly a game changer for your appraisal business ### 5/5 — I love this app! *2024-07-23, version 10003.2.0* I remember the first time I used it. By then it was installed on my phone for weeks and I haven’t used it once. Then I come to an inspection and it was like either now or never. It took me at least an hour to complete site visit but only because I was figuring it out as I went. Now it’s been few years and I can’t imagine my work without this app. I love it limitless. The amount of time I save myself on each report is everything. And now with Scan To Sketch it got so much better. It’s a great time saver for field work and I find myself working the majority of the form up on my mobile device. I find the sketching on the mobile app to be as easy as that on the pc. The integration with the cloud linked with my pc is seamless. I’m uncertain why so many others don’t use this application to be honest. ### 5/5 — Works great for data collection *2021-09-16, version 2021.3.1* This app has been very good for more business in more ways than one. It has been very solid for the last 4 years with a few bugs here and there. I have never lost a report or photos. It syncs the file from the desktop to any mobile device seamlessly. No more cameras to plug in to the computer or SD cards. I can get all of my field info into the report and I have quick list options. I still prefer my clipboard to draw with, probably because my phone is too small and I don’t want to take pics with an iPad. People are amazed that I can confirm square footage on site. I have all of my files on site, CAD docs, engagement letter, comps, and it’s allowed me to be completely paperless. Maybe the complainers are using an inferior android product, I don’t know. If you want to speed up your inspections, speed up your reporting, and throw that clipboard in the trash, use total for mobile. ### 5/5 — Well done field data gathering app *2020-09-20, version 2020.8.2* I’ve been using this app since it first launched. I had an iPad 3rd generation then. It ran great for a while but started crashing. The crashes were due to the fact that my iPad was just too old at that point. I’ve been running it on an iPad Pro 9.7” (the first iPad Pro hw) for 4.5 years now and I get occasional crashes but it’s usually when I’m working too fast and not waiting for the app. My iPad is nearly 5 years old at this point. So, it’s understandable. Once you get it set up with your custom comments and forms, it’s nice and quick. I have sketch pro, so sketching the second floor over top of the first is super handy. It’s also easy to check if you have all the photos. No getting back to the office later and realizing the house is 300sqft larger than county said due to a builder offered den en lieu. Say goodbye to importing photos. They are already there and already labeled. To be clear YOU DO NOT NEED CELL INTERNET FOR THIS APP!!! My iPad is WiFi only. Occasionally I’ll turn on a file to sync from the field, but you do not need internet at all to run this in the field. Anyone who says you do is either a lying fake reviewer from a rival company, it just plain doing it wrong. As far as field data gatherIng apps go, this is by far the best, most intuitive, and clean. I highly recommend it. ### 5/5 — First appraisals typed on a IBM selectric... *2020-04-24, version 2020.4.2* Having seen every appraisal software as it was developed and used all of them. I can honestly say each software has its challenges. With some it is a lack of document process, some, is a lack of a good sketch, others is file handling or creating photo files so large the residential lenders cannot accept the report. Win total is one of the best available and the mobile app has become a leader for what is available. It will be king, if they can every create a seamless experience of creating the report on iPad, table, phone, laptop or desktop without missing a beat or having to upload, download, in vault out of vault. Etc. the desktop publishing experience is still very limited and documents created in the addendum are still amateurish; but the overall program and user experience far exceeds any other experience for any of the so-called competitors. Not to mention I can draw my sketch immediately after taking the measurements so if there is a mistake I can correct it before ever leaving the property.
