However, the only thing that bothers me a bit is that the unit models look somewhat rough — the faces appear a bit pixelated/mosaic-like. Their is a bug where countries you already conquered will continue to spam armies long after their gone. I have conquered a faction several times, and they keep coming back. You People who made the game should relise stuff like this makes players sick and tired as they wanna play your games, not be held back by a bug you should have fixed a long time ago. If you fix the bug I will make this a good review but you, developers better do it. Or else this will remain a bad review on the game. ### 5/5 — Pocket total war with the perfect game *2026-05-10, version 1.7.1* Never did i believe they would be able to port this and make it better than the original but here we are. All factions playable with lovely touches made by feral interactive make this game even better than the original. Multitude of factions that are playable with the new dlc. This is amazing to have to run on an iPad. Fantastic game, but be prepared for more bugs and challenges than the PC version (but it’s a miracle they have managed to get it to run at all). The battle controls are frustrating to say the least, but they mostly work. Be prepared for some pain as you accidentally direct units in unintended directions at critical moments. Then there’s crashes every few hours… but like a said… miracle that it runs at all. 5* given for the audacity to manage to get it working at all! ### 3/5 — Broken *2026-03-24, version 1.7.1* It seems as always CA puts in less effort than modders who work for free. The game crashes, in naval battles ships get stuck and the 7$ DLC is not completed. The DLC unlocks all the minor factions and possible revolt factions. But does not add anything to them. The groups like mamlukes, barbary pirates, afghanistan and savoy Genoa, and others have very limited construction capabilities. Some buildings not even able to produce any troops or any kind. It would have been nice if they gave something more than just unlocking them. It is a nice port but it also comes off as very lazy and lacking especially even you payinalmist 30 bucks for a port of a almost 20 year old game, that could have easily pirated but i want to support my first tw game i ever played. ### 2/5 — Looks very good but Spain knocked declared war and took my 1 Provence within the the first 8 turns *2026-03-20, version 1.7.1* I originally played this on desktop when it first came out. Played really well but the ai sucks like it did in the old days. I couldn’t get France or Spain to ally me in road to independence and Spain went from friendly to ending my game within the first 8 turns. I didn’t even make it to turn 10. I got steamrolled and never got a chance to do anything ### 5/5 — The Nostalgia!! *2026-03-17, version 1.7.1* 15 years ago I played this game on my computer, never would I have imagined I’d be addicted again at 33 years old! Wonderfully transitioned into my pocket, this game is even better than ever before with the modernized settings! If you’re a fan of this series - you won’t regret buying again and taking it with you everywhere you go. It’s full of fun, packed with content and nations to choose from, awesome battle mechanics. What holds this game back the most is the Performance and graphics, i play on a iphone 14 and this game is laggy by a long shot, I cannot whatsoever play this game for longer than 10 minutes because it overheats, please add lower graphics settings or optimize the game more like napoleon. There is a lot going on in the game but they need to fix the bugs. I paid and downloaded the game only to be told it’s not supported on my device despite it specifically saying it was on the download page. This is theft. The page I get taken too for a refund says there is no refund available, which makes no sense. Never been able to even open the game. ### 1/5 — DEVS SHOULD BE ASHAMED *2026-07-19, version 1.7.1* THE WORST GAME IN THE HISTORY OF GAMES. If you’re wondering why the total war franchise is dead you can thank this game right here. SEA AND LAND BATTLES ARE TRASH. Forget the horrible graphics quality, the game play itself is terrible. 6x speed and every battle takes 20 mins just for your troops to get within firing range of the enemy. Sea battles have no logical order and commands are never followed. Rome total war for iOS is amazing. The Devs that made this game should be fired. This game should be removed from the App Store as the game is unplayable due to unable to load or save and if you do half the time it’s corrupt and won’t work. I download the game and try to install it. After the download when I press install it says I need 9 gigs free and only have 8 gigs left of storage. Die Steuerung gerade mit Maus und Tastatur ist wirklich gelungen gewesen, das Spiel lief ungemein stabil. Leider gilt beides seit dem viel beworbenen Update, das mit dem Erscheinen des letzten DLCs verbunden war, nicht mehr der Fall. Absturz folgt auf Absturz und die Steuerung der Schlachten ist enorm unkomfortabel geworden.
