But when it comes to doing a word study, which is brilliant by the way, there is no way to scroll backwards and forwards through the words you just studied! If you saw something you liked, or that spoke to you, or answered a question, you have to go back to the original word and do the study all over again. You can’t go forward and back within a resource like you can with the Bible. Add in this feature and this app would be amazing! As it stands right now, it’s a really good app, it just falls a little short. ### 3/5 — For $10 it’s kind of meh… *2024-09-15, version 3.8.10* I like the NET with notes and the Strong’s feature, but the layout isn’t that great. The passage selector wheel is the slowest way to do it. Options would be nice. Switching chapters sometimes makes the verse numbers and notes indicators disappear until you toggle back and forth between chapters. I bought this for the supposed thorough search feature. It very well may be great, but remains to be seen if it is worth it. So far it is not. ### 2/5 — Touch Bible Limitations *2024-04-15, version 1.1* 1. Cannot adjust to have each verse start on a new line. 2. Cannot customize the layout of the display, it is fixed. 3. Bible Version, when selected, is not memorized, version must be chosen each time the application is used. 4. There is NO HELP with this version of the application. It did an automatic update a few days ago though and a couple of things I’m not crazy about. I can adjust to all of them but I would like to ask you to change one thing. Would you put a title lock on the name of the book and chapter at the top of the page? It is so easy to lose your place when you have to scroll to the top of the page to see the book and chapter. I am now able again to see at a glance which book and chapter I am in! ### 3/5 — The one thing *2023-07-18, version 3.8.10* I’ve used Touch Bible for years and this one has good features but the bookmark button sticks and I had to delete and reinstall the app in order to get it off the page. The other thing I greatly dislike is that you can’t choose another Bible version without the parallel with the NET version Bible. I think this should be advertised so people like me can choose to buy the version of touch Bible that suits us. It would be far greater to be able to choose what versions I would like parallel or if I don’t. ### 4/5 — NET replaces KJV + strongs *2023-05-07, version 3.8.10* Have been using app for many years and loved the default KJV with Strongs. Yesterday I open the app to find NET version comes up as default. KJV with Strongs now requires multi-version to display. The new update is horrible. Please return the display functionality of the last version. I tried to reach app support and could not get there. This is my favorite bible app for study on the ipad but this makes it very hard to use. It does not work with iOS 9.1 and it will not update since October 2015 update. Verses in dial a verse are not working right. It does not display all available verses in a chapter. Turning off and back on fixed for one verse look up only then it was messed up again. Now for what I like. Thanks for expanding highlight colors. And you're the only app I know of that offers audio offline (I use an iPod and wifi is not available where I work). I love how you have made Strong's definitions available and that you can search on the Strong's numbers. Thanks for slowing down the audio! Fix the bug and I'll update my review to 4 stars. With 7-8 translations plus Strongs, it meets all my daily study needs. I also use a couple of other Bible study tools for deeper studies using multiple reference works, but even when I do they are sitting alongside Touch Bible. I couldn’t get them in free Bible Apps. I work in a company where you can’t touch your phone. You can touch your watch and have a headphone on. So I was looking for a bible App that I can start on my apple watch and listen to, while at work, without touching my phone. This is exactly what I need. I can pick the Book i want to listen to, and it has different versions. I can listen to it without touching my phone. No matter where you are at any time, if you hear a Bible verse, you can pull it up in 5 seconds , counting the time to open the app and hit the search verse option. If I feel stressed, no matter if I’m in an elevator or what, I can pop open the app and start reading verses to get me centered again. You can change Bible editions anytime in two seconds. Just like a real Bible you can bookmark, save veres, and write notes. You can tap on words to get original meaning. It’s very easy to maneuver and pinpoint an exact phrase or even a precise word. The ability to create and store my own “notes” is an awesome feature.
