Other than that this app is amazing. 👍 ### 4/5 — TOUCH BIBLE *2022-04-22* I really like this app, but it needs to be improved the dial a verse needs the option to increase the font size. It helps in studying the Bible. ### 4/5 — An excellent addition to the Apple Watch arsenal. *2018-09-24* I use this app almost exclusively on the Apple Watch and as such I have one plea - please let the Watch app be independent from the iPhone, including having a bible version stored on the watch itself. As a church musician I use the watch with cellular so I don’t have carry my phone (sitting on it or knocking it off the piano), i still have to have my phone around to read the scripture on the app - even still, it is both kool and convenient. ### 3/5 — Update *2013-09-21, version 3.0* I really like the app, the update not so much. I liked when each verse started on a new line. Also, I just got the update and already found a typo. I just wish that there were a couple of Spanish Translations as well. ### 5/5 — Do yourself a big favor: get this app *2012-06-27* Their translation notes for the NET version are extremely engaging. They open up so many paths of meditation and studying inside the Word of God that you will probably spend hours in one single passage (e.g.Heb 1:1-4 will keep you busy for a while). From a strictly technical point of view, the app will probably be a 3-4 star, but as a tool to use the Net translation on your iPad, it's worth every penny (oops, sorry, I forgot it is free...thanks!) I also recommend the Blue Letter Bible, since I use the Strong's concordance a lot. ### 5/5 — Awsome *2012-02-07, version 2.1* Good bible works great ### 5/5 — Love this app!!! *2011-12-30, version 2.1* 5 stars! It works great, does just what they say and is the answer to my frustration about kindle bible books (not knowing where I am and no easy way to jump around). Wish it didn't have to connect to touchbible.org to do the reading plan though, can't you make it save it somewhere in the app so it doesn't have to connect? I want to do the reading plan even when I have no service. Other than that, wonderful!!! ### 3/5 — What happened? *2011-11-04, version 2.1* I think the app used to work better than it does now. It's slow and buggy. Scrolling doesn't flow smooth at times. In the past pinching the screen to make the words screen bigger or smaller worked better. It is very slow now. Easy to read and great for digging deeper into the Bible. The only two requsts that I would make are: 1. Make it so that you can highlight certain words or passages, not just the entire verse. 2. Add a NKJV version. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Could be Great *2015-12-29, version 3.5.1* I would absolutely love this app for my Apple Watch, but I have to have the app open on my iPhone and active to access the text on my watch. Then, as soon as I want to read a different chapter, I have to pull up the app on my phone again. Obviously, this completely defeats the purpose of the watch app.... I used the search tool to find the simple verse John 3:16 and it couldnt even find that!!!!! As of now 2 stars for poor search tool and lack of table of contents. ### 2/5 — Be ready to pay twice!! *2017-10-06* I purchased the loaded version. When it would not update from my iPad, I assumed I could reload it. Not true! I contacted the Touch Bible Support. Their response is to contact Apple. Apple says there is no record of my purchase (they don’t keep one after the iPad does a major update??) The only Touch Bible app in my purchase history now is the lite version. So to get the loaded version I pay again. Maybe I’ll skip it this time. ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2008-12-28, version 0* I love god with all my heart soul and body but this app is so confusing! I. Ended up deleting it after the first time I opened it which made me feel bad cuz I deleted some of gods word but I did install another free bible verse app it's kinda like a verse a day but evry time u open the app again there's a new verse! Some ppl complain tat it's not spiritual or worth while but it's good to take time every day to devote to whomever u believe in. Bug would not let me change translation 2. Not enough translations, ones it comes with are the worst ones :) 3. Search results not in context view 4. File size too large 5. In my opinion the reading view is too busy and takes attention from the Words, too blingy for Church use. There is another free Bible that has much more usable options (and no bad comics) all the offline English and other language translations you need with several being downloadable. ### 3/5 — No Strongs! *2019-08-11, version 3.5.92* I downloaded this version expecting the Strongs Concordance.Sadly it isn’t there! You can change the font if the print is too small and it has a night reading version which is cool for reading in bed so the light doesn’t blind you. It’s easy to use. I have read the Bible through twice on the app and am working my way through the third time. It’s free and has been for years. I can look up verses while eating my lunch at work. I also like the notes you can add and included commentary.
