The sound doesn't work!

OMG Pajamas is not spelled with a y - Pyjamas and Teddy Bear is not one word but two. If you are creating a game for educating children, please get it right. Please! Especially if you are teaching words by sight. It would be a great program if it were not for spelling errors. Its that important. Please.

disappointing to pay for an app, then to not have any sound... and it just says that the device is muted... it is not, all other apps have sound.

### 1/5 — No sound

*2019-03-11, version 1.1.0*

The sound does not work. I have checked and double-checked that my device is not muted. Without the sound, the app is just about useless for the age group it is intended for and not worth paying for. Extremely disappointed.

Will be getting a refund

**Developer response:** Hello. Sorry to hear you are having trouble with our app. Normally problems with sound are due to the fact that the mute switch on the device is engaged. This can be a little confusing because not all apps obey the mute button, but ours do, so while you will be able to hear other apps, you would not be able to hear ours.

All you have to do is toggle the mute switch which is located on the side of your tablet or smartphone. Once you toggle it you will hear sound again. If there is no mute button please slide up the menu from the bottom of the iPad screen to find the mute button icon.

If you still cannot hear sound, please try the following: Go to Settings > General. Under "Use Side Switch To" please ensure that the "Mute" option is selected, and not the "Lock Rotation" button. Then ensure that the Lock / Unlock setting is switched on (to unlock). You might have to restart your device afterwards.

If this doesn't work please email support@touchpress.com and we will look into it further for you.

Looks like a great app, but having the same no sound issues others noted. Kind of an important part of this app, so pretty useless without it.

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2017-06-12*

Great app for little ones, easy to use and love that the pictures used are real.

### 5/5 — Works Just Fine!

*2016-10-23*

I hesitated on this purchase due to reviews stating audio problems, but the app works just fine for us! Our toddler likes it!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2014-03-09*

My 14-month old loves this. Simple everyday words are depicted with bright images and spoken clearly in a gentle voice.

### 5/5 — Excellent for young learners

*2014-02-01*

My 18 month old loves this. It's a very easy to use app in a well put together digital pop up book. What's great is that is that it speaks the words you touch, reenforcing identification. Great app.

### 5/5 — Clever

*2013-12-13*

Simple and beautiful.

### 5/5 — A unique "3D" dictionary

*2013-12-10*

The way the pictures pop up is really unique- the first vocabulary app that I have seen like this. I love how you can switch between several different languages and the sound effects really make for an interactive visual dictionary.

### 4/5 — Good book

*2014-07-09*

This is a good book but think it is pricey. My son is 16 months and does like it though.

### 4/5 — Great for building vocabulary

*2014-03-31*

I am an Speech Language Pathologist and have found this to be a great book to work on expanding children's vocabulary receptively and expressivley. Easy to navigate and keeps the kids attentions. Great app. The only problem I have with it is that you have to tap it twice to get the sound effects..and then there aren't sound effects for some items...kids spend a lot of time double tapping...however, I just turn off the sound and have the kids name them or point to them.
